Link to filtered post carousel

The filter option is very useful in the Post Grid block, but sometimes its useful to direct visitors to a pre-filtered list. Could we have a way of putting an option on the URL (e.g. https:\mysitemypostspage?filter="myfilter"), or an anchor that emulates clicking the filter within the JS (e.g. https:\mysitemypostspage#myfilter)
