Make the number of items displayed in an advanced query block dependent on the screen width

Could the number of items displayed in the advanced query block be set for mobile, desktop and tablet devices? It's just that I have the block displaying 3 items on desktop in a single column and when the block takes up full screen width I set it to display 2 columns but 3 items doesn't look very good so I'd like to display 4.
