New Plugin for Better Adsense Placement
Google SiteKit doesn't make it easy to place ads on a site. Consequently, straight out of the box, Adsense takes a beautiful layout and makes it look like a dogs breakfast.
I cringe when I see:
• ads above the header
• between the header and the primary menu
• between the menu and the content
• six of exactly the same ad sprinkled throughout the same page
• too many ads
• ad impressions that cover each other (especially in mobile)
• total ads that take up more than 20% of the screen real estate
A beautiful site without ads quickly becomes an alternative reality Vegas hellscape when ads get foisted in any-old-where by SiteKit's Adsense auto tools.
And it's not just my sites. I'm sort of surprised the people who are paying for Adsense impressions haven't raised a stink about impression overlay, where one ad sits partially on top of another ad, especially on mobile. At times, on mobile a screen will be as much as 80 to 100% covered with three or more ads, all vying for our attention. And as many as two of those will be video. My brain is balking at trying to filter out and skim past ad after ad, catching a paragraph here, a paragraph there, of the content I originally came there to read. Sometimes, I just give up.
I recognize the value of ads, but there needs to be a balanced, sensible ad presentation scheme.
Also, I wear fifty hats. I don't have time to figure it out.
I'd like to see an adsense workflow integrated into a Kadence plugin that better assesses the clients preferred ad placement given the existing structure of the site. I'd like better assessment of screen real estate above the fold so I don't scare people away with my unintentional Vegas hellscape. I don't think this requires AI. It might be worth putting hooks into the Kadence theme (maybe via the pro plugin?) that identify best placement and size.

So the hooks would be put into the theme (or pro plugin), but a separate plugin would be added to manage the adsense setup.
Also, an ad-free experience for paid memberships would be great too!
