In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Adding Titles to Icon Menu and Image Menu
December 27, 2013 at 8:15 am #2850The icon shortcodes are brand new so I’ll try to walk you through it here. First make sure you have disabled the virtue-toolkit plugin. You don’t need it with the premium theme.
You need to make sure you’ve created a home page and made that your front page in the wordpress settings.
https://www.kadencewp.com/creating-a-home-page-with-virtue/
Then use the shortcode generator to make columns and then add your icon menu using the icon box shortcode generator.
Probably the best thing untill I get a full tutorial up is to send me a temp login to your site and I can do it so you can see it.
You can email me a login here: [email protected]

December 27, 2013 at 7:50 am #2844This isn’t built in. But you can use the home page content to add an icon menu with columns and shortcodes and put a title there. I’ll look into adding it.

Hi, Is it the same problem explains here?:

If you have Virtue Toolkit extension, you can disable it.
In forum: Virtue ThemeAdding columns to a page using the Insert Columns tool doesn’t seem to be working for me. The short code gets added, but results with the column contents just in paragraph format, with no columns. Same with using the Visual Aids pull down selection on the Insert Columns dialog box.
Running Premium Child as active with Premium 1.9.9.
Thanks in advance! In forum: Virtue ThemeIs this a known issue right now by chance?
Page template is still set to Blog grid with 4 columns
But no dice now…

Hi,
This is what I have in a text widget:
[product_category category=”lvm” per_page=”3″ columns=”1″ orderby=”date” ]
What should I edit in the css?
It is for this page: http://89.145.89.31/~pixeluti/tvlogic-professional-sdi-broadcast-video-monitors/
I was just looking for a way to highlight some products in the sidebar and this was the easy option.
If there is a better way to add individual products then please let me know.
Many thanks
Steve

December 18, 2013 at 10:38 am #2625Oh I see, so with the new version for 1 or 2 columns it displays the excerpt automatically. You can hide it though with css. Which page are you putting it in a text widget?

Hi Ben,
That works for products on the page.
However I was using it to add some products to a sidebar via a text widget.
I’ve updated the page to show this.
Using the columns=4 squashes all the products in that sidebar.
Previously using the columns=1 gave me just the title.
Any other ideas?
Thanks
Steve

In forum: Virtue ThemeSince the 1.9.4 upgrade, I now see my blog posts showing up with 2 columns. Prior to this, it was 1 column. No doubt I have missed a setting, but I can’t seem to see why?
Any advice? *Login to see link
Thanks! – Great stuff!!
