Just to use less, organize your menus thinking of the viewer. What’s important and not overwhelming, then in your pages add natural navigation and if necessary add a sidebar with further navigation based on where the user is.

I’m using WooCommerce Product Filter plugin amd it works fine with Virtue Free, but when I switch to Virtue Premium, plugin doesn,t work. Any changes of filter parameters make empty results. Here is the link *Login to see link

I don’t recommend using page builder on posts. Its usually not needed but if you want to do that then yes you have to define a custom excerpt.Ben

I have renamed it because otherwise the whole dashboard werent working, and thats the only way to disactivate the plugin manualy.
I agree that this issue pop up when I posted my last post. So to avoid this problem I must always define a custom excerpt? Or could that be any text put into pagebuilder?
Please tell me how you get rid off the issue, as in the future many people will post on this stie and one can make a mistake and do the same problem as I did now, and I dont want to bother you each time.
But thank you very much for you help Ben, your awesome! I can sleep well today as since yesterday I was only thinking about this…

^ That is what you had renamed the plugin folder to.
Which was part of your issue.
The other part is your posts. One the home page you have added posts to the page through pagebuilder using a carousel.
A carousel pulls in the post excerpt. In your posts you were adding more content only with pagebuilder and adding a carousel of posts.
No where was there actually an excerpt and if your using pagebuilder in posts you must always define a custom excerpt or you have this issue.
post opens excerpt… except there is none so it looks in content for some text to output. Content only has another post loop which pulls wordpress into an unending loop (running your memory out and ending with gateway error) all because there was no excerpt added.

Please update to the latest version of the theme. You are on 3.4.0? Which is really far back.
You can get the latest version of the theme on the my-account page.
How many menu items did you add to the secondary menu?

Hi Ben – there are empty columns of identical sizes on either side of both the second set & the first set of products (because I want them to appear smaller with a margin either side on the homepage). I removed all columns just to check & the size discrepancy was still there (note that I have now added empty columns back in because I don’t want each pair of products to span whole width of page).

I only see a coming soon page?
You activate the secondary menu in apperance > menus. There you can assign the menu to the secondary navigation.

You can’t have pagination with a shortcode. Doesn’t work that way.You can create one parent category for your two categories then assign the parent category to your grid page.

You can’t make the home excerpt longer then the one you set for the blogs in general. So in your theme options > blog options what is your length set to? that must be at least the same you set on the home page settings.Ben

I am working to add a fullwidth slider to my product categories page, just below the Logo header as on my Home Page.
So went to:
Pages > All Pages > Product Categories Page >
Here there are two options:
1. Feature Page Slider Images > Add Images
2. Revolution Slider Options > CHoose Slider Template > DefaultOn the home page I used a generaic full width slider which held the demo 1 images. I simply removed them and replaced my own.
How do I do the same with perhaps the Kadence slider on this page?

Hey,
You can’t edit archives with pagebuider because they are not pages and don’t function like pages. You would just have to create your own pages as Kevin is suggesting and manually add in posts though a shortcode. You can use a redirect plugin to force people trying to get to your archive pages into your custom pages.https://wordpress.org/plugins/safe-redirect-manager/

1. I do recommend using a plugin for this. In fact wordpress.org doesn’t even allow themes to add this as it’s considered plugin territory.
I understand avoiding to many plugins but I would caution that it shouldn’t keep you from using the good ones and saving you a lot of time 🙂
Anything can be done through a child theme (it is the same code that you can add through plugin). You can hook into the wp_head action and output whatever you want for meta data.
2. You can still use the wp_head function for the home page. You can use is_front_page() to check the page then add your output.
