July 10, 2016 at 9:12 am #102844All posts have categories, thats how wordpress works. If your navigation is just home and post then you don’t need a breadcrumb. You can turn those off in your theme options > breadcrumbs.
And to be clear categories are not pages they are built to help organizes posts. They are archives of your posts and you can set the style of those archives in your theme options > blog options. (just really need to fix the theme folder and update.)

JennyIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeHopefully last question today!
I often use the same custom colour for various text throughout my pages and posts. But every time I save, update, or open a new page, i have to type the custom colour again.
http://www.ckmartialhearts.com
Is there anyway to have the Theme remember custom colors? I don’t mean for individual things, like H2 Headings, but just remember certain colors as custom colours. that could save a lot of time.
Cheers,
AJ
In forum: Virtue ThemeHey guys,
Hopefully a quick one for you. In my theme options, I’ve set both Pages and Posts to use 16 Point font as Default. But when I create new content, either Pages or Posts, they always appear in point 14 size font, until I manually change them to size 16.
Not a big deal, I know, but if there is something I need to change to get that option set, it would save a few minutes on each page I created.
Thanks!
AJ

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Guys,
I have a question about the footer. I have been trying for several weeks to try to find a design that I like for my website footer area. I am not good with html code or css so it has been a bit rigid. I tried the various built in footer widgets but cannot get the result I want yet.
I like the way your website is set up better. I seem to have that sort of but not as centered and lined up as yours. You have the 4 spaces. Your logo on the left, then about us with some text second, then newsletter 3rd, then a list of contact or resource info. That is basically what I want. Here is what I am looking at: *Login to see link
I don’t know how to shrink the mailchimp form to that nice smaller size. I also don’t know how to do the about with text or the list on the right with links. I’d like a list like yours except with my own choices that pertain to my business like below and the ability to link it so the customer can just click on it. So far in the footer widget all I seem to have a choice from is plain text and visual editor, both won’t allow me to link anything. I also can’t seem to get the spacing right. I’d like the spacing like yours on your footer to be spaced out neatly like that.
Right now I have my footer selected 4th choice in the footer layout. Does the widget over-ride that? I find that a bit confusing as I am trying to use the widget and it appears to be working but is quite spacious. With this chosen my logo is going below my mailchimp form creating a vertical effect rather then horizontal like yours. I’m not sure if that is due to spacing or what?
I’d like to be able to shrink the mailchimp box if need be but don’t know how to do that, do you? Hopefully I have described it well. You can see on SybellasBlessingShop dot com
Oh, and my topbar font color won’t stay for some reason. I have the css code that you gave me hannah but it keeps reverting back to white and you can hardly see it. I don’t know why. This happens sometimes with my website when I do changes it will revert back to the original look from a long time ago it is strange.
Here is the css code you gave me:
}
.topbarmenu ul li a {
color: #0c86b2;
}In fact I just got done writing a description of my business on the advanced page and it is now gone after being saved before, it’s disappeared. It is like my work is being undone….:(
Thank you!!!
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Menu
Hey Team
I am trying to create a menu for the sidebar that looks like this: Menu I am trying to create
I made up a menu called sidebar with a few categories. Enabled the full width option but it just puts the sub categories directly under the main category.
See here: Demo Page for Menu
I am missing something and would appreciate some guidance.
Many thanks

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: virtue premium multilanguage big problem
Hi
Trust me that I didn’t change anything. I just tried another theme to check if it works in any other theme just to make sure before I sent you the link and I saw it was working and came back virtue premium with in the settings. And magic happened and it worked in virtue also. I have to open shop page and single product page in an other theme then in virtue also the pages work fine. So, I have the same problem in many other example pages, shop page just did not show up and same for product view page. After doing the same process all of them started to work just fine. Thank you very much!In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Featured Products on Home page
July 9, 2016 at 4:44 pm #102790Hey,
You don’t need to override anything. Just remove the demo content and assign your own featured products.
In your admin go to products. There you will see a list of some of your products at the bottom you can click through to the next page of products. Keep going until you see the demo products. delete those.
Then simply click the star for any product you want to be featured.

In forum: Pinnacle ThemeJuly 9, 2016 at 4:11 pm #102785Hey,
There are docs here: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/pinnacle-premium/Tutorials here: https://www.kadencewp.com/category/tutorials/pinnacle-theme/
If you can give me specifics and a link so I can see what you mean I can offer more help.
For example the logo(or site title) is set in the theme options > site header (thats your transparent header logo) and then for non-transparent header pages you would set in the theme options > logo options.
Fonts are all set in your theme options > typography settings. Is there a specific thing your wanting to target?
Home page is built in your pages > home page. But some items like portfolio posts are pulled in and you would edit each post in the post area.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Slider Pro and images not displaying full screen
July 9, 2016 at 3:07 pm #102773If you look at the page hannah linked to you will see that on a feature page you can add a slider in the page settings. You must however select feature and click save. Currently your work page is still not using a feature template (I can see it in the code).
Please have a look at the docs hannah linked to. Add your shortcode for the slider into the page options for a shortcode slider.

July 9, 2016 at 3:05 pm #102772Hey Mark, You can go to products page in your admin and remove all the demo content products. Then assign whatever products you want to be featured by clicking the star (as pointed out in the image from the link above).
First thing is to remove the demo content product though.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Reduce Secondary Menu Height
July 9, 2016 at 3:02 pm #1027711. you can move it to that position but there isn’t a way with css to add the overlay on the site. You would need to code all that if you wanted to recreate that sites look.
#kad-menu-search-popup { width: 400px; right: 50%; margin-right: -200px; bottom: -140px; } #nav-main, .kad-header-right, .sf-menu li.menu-search-icon-kt { position: static; } .headerclass .container { position: relative; }4. You can add css like this:
#nav-second ul.sf-menu>li { width: auto; float: none; display: inline-block; } #nav-second { text-align: center; } #nav-second ul.sf-menu>li>a { padding: 5px 10px; }5. Not as a theme option but you can code something like that.
6. Just change the menu nav label to whatever you like in the apperance > menus page.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Gif as featured image not working
To add – this the link with featured image gif that does not work on the homepage: http://monika.vaicenaviciene.com/portfolio/winter-solstice/
In forum: Virtue ThemeHello.
I have a problem with setting a gif file as featured image on my portfolio homepage. If I put a gif as a featured image for a portfolio post, the animation is not working on the homepage. Except, if the gif is 266px square, then the animation works – but the image quality is too low to look good on retina screens. I am using a three-column masonry portfolio gallery.
Here is the link to the portfolio page (you should see some low-resolution gifs): *Login to see link
Please, could you say how can I have proper resolution gif images as featured images on portfolio page?

The closest thing would be to hide the menu on your home page but it would show on all the others.

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: portfolio types and layout
Hi,
I have a simple portfolio and want to skip the portfolio page and go from the home page straight to my portfolio posts. Except I want to retain the navigation from the Portfolio page to navigate by portfolio type. Is there any way I can navigate by portfolio type on the Portfolio posts? Thanks.Or is there a way to lay out the Portfolio Page with just one post and a sidebar?
