There are a few different ways that you can show custom blog posts on your page.

You could use the shortcode option:

Using shortcodes will allow you to customize how the posts display, and which posts will show up.
For example, this piece of shortcode will display the posts as they show up in your blog, ordered by date, with 4 total posts, and will only show post excerpts.

[kad_blog orderby=date items=4 fullpost=false]

You could also use a carousel for the posts, which would look like this:
[carousel type=post orderby=date columns=4 items=8 speed=9000 scroll=all cat=photos]

If you’re only trying to get a specific group of posts to show up, you could give the posts in question a custom category that only they have, and place that in the “cat” attribute of the shortcode.

What category? You link went to a page not found. Please fix or post another.

“I want the bold heading in the beginning of the post paragraph then the body regular text” – that can’t be done with css you have to add a different tag (like h2 or h3) where you want text to be different.

“Also can I have the paragraph split after a certain amount of characters” – no thats not something css can do. Again you have to post a line break in the actual text itself.

“also can I a style the Post Title also only for posts in a certain Category?” – Please define “style” with what you want.

You have set your blog page to be the “post” page in your settings reading. DON’T do that if you want to have control over the page and add content above your posts.

Thanks for your answer. From my perspective it seems that Polylang and Page Builder works fine together again. At least, having updated Page Builder to the latest version (just to see if the trouble remained), I noticed there’s no problem anymore on this page: http://www.erwan-francois.info/en/portfolio/ ; I can access any portfolio item from this page.

Greetings Ben / Kadence developers, I am having an issue with how the staff are displaying in my premium installation. I am attempting to use staff page template to display 12 people who are part of board of directors. The page is only showing 10 entries, leaving two spaces blank, and bumping the last 2 people to a second page. Not sure why this is happening. I can’t see any place to access settings for detailing how many entries appear on the page except for in “screen options” and this is set to show 25 posts (I set it high on purpose to see if it changed layout). Only reason I can think this could be happening is the last person’s title runs to three lines whereas the others are two lines. Any tips you would have to align every member on one page would be appreciated.

Also to the issue you posted about. You have set your blog page to be the “post” page in your settings reading. DON’T do that if you want to have control over the page and add content above your posts. You need to leave the “posts” page blank and just use the blog page template.

Hey,
you can’t use latest version of pagebuilder and polylang they don’t work together. This has been reported to the authors. Until one of them fixes the issue you can use pagebuilder 2.0.7 or you would have to use a good language plugin like WPML.

So best to start there and move your pagebuilder version back.

2. Hannah has this a little wrong. When you set the read more tag it only refers to when the post is set to full in a loop. Read more is not the same as your excerpt which you can make custom. The read more is used when you set the post summary to full. And the full post is show until the read more tag. See here : https://www.kadencewp.com/blog/

That is using read more on a blog page that is set to show the full post.

1. I’m not sure what you mean by symbol menu? Can you post a link? You talking about the icon menu on the home page?

2. What string transition isn’t working or what are you trying. Please post a link.

3. For a text editor it’s best to make two widgets one for each laguage then show only one based on the laguage. You can use a plugin like widget logic to show based on language.

Also note polylang support is going to be the best to ask for better understanding on how there plugin works.

Hey,
1. In Theme Options > Language Settings you can set this text to whatever you like.
2. You need to ensure you have set the post content to display as Summary. Otherwise it will show the entire post and no read more tag is necessary. You can set this from the blog edit page.

I upgraded from Virtue free to Virtue Premium and now my custom sidebars don’t work. I have them added as custom sidebars in the theme options, then I added widgets to the sidebars, and then I selected the sidebar and I selected sidebar under template on the page itself. However the sidebar still doesn’t show up, but it does give it the indent like something is there. See this page: *Login to see link for a sample of the sidebar not showing up.

You’re wanting to create columns, correct? So from your page content area using the Visual Editor click the Virtue Shortcodes tab and then click Columns from the dropdown and select the number of columns you want.
You can also create columns using page builder.
Is that what you’re wanting? Or am I totally off here?

Hello,

I am trying to add the demo content 2 for this theme, using the Kadence Importer, however I get the following message:

[WARNING] Failed to import “Coffee Meeting – Example Event”: Invalid post type tribe_events [WARNING] Failed to import “Great Venue”: Invalid post type tribe_venue Imported

I checked the website and the theme hasn’t changed and no new pages were created. I tried resetting the database and I even reinstalled wordpress but I keep getting the same error. Then I tried installing content 4, I didn’t get any error message and it said it was successfully imported, but the homepage is still empty, I checked on the pages, and they all had duplicates now. Any ideas on how to fix this and make my website look like democontent 2?

Hello,

I just bought the Pinnacle theme. I have been using Virtue for about a year but wanted the transparent header that Virtue does not offer.

So I just installed the Pinnacle theme and activated it. I have the transparent header figured out on my homepage, but when I go to fix my regular pages with a transparent header, I am not given the editing options underneath the content on the edit page like is displayed in the tutorial video from Ben. Does that make sense?

I’m not sure how to create a transparent header on all of my pages without the editing options.

I now want to be able to post blog posts categorised as waiting room to my portfolio waiting room – but the URL for all my blog posts has the root *Login to see link How can I assign either a generic root or specific root for waiting-room. What impact will any changes have on historical posts?

Secondly I have tested Site Origin Post Carousel & Pinnacle carousel on the page *Login to see link

As you can see the Site Origin Widget allows me to selectively choose posts so that I can discriminate between events Coming Soon and Previous events – but the Images are very small and on a mobile phone there is no arrow to lead viewer to look at images on the carousel

The Pinnacle Carousel has great large Images & text but – you cannot selectively extract posts.

Can you tell me how I can achieve large images with arrows for selected posts.
