Hi,
I would like to learn how to create the tab-like menus that are just on top of the home page slider of Virtue’s site style three. I would like to place and link 6 categories across so customers can just see the metal choice they want and click to go to the products page instead of only using a drop-down menu. I tried to create it inside of menus, but there’s something I’m not doing correctly… I hope it’s possible.
Thank you,
Gary
Hey,
In your post edit page you should see a Discussion tab. Under that you can deselect the Allow comments box.

Hi Ben and Hannah
I know Virtue Premium has these elegant animations when you use the widgets, but I haven’t tested nor noticed if it same with pagebuilder.
Recently I’ve been mixing the widgets and never bothered to see if they are both really beautifully animating like Virtue does.
I have a client that just bought Virtue Premium for me to use on their work (with my recommendation 🙂
and that’s a question that occurred to me.
Clients love the shrinking header and gentle animations.
Do they exist only in the Kadence widgets?

Hi Ben,
You can set a custom excerpt for your posts in the post edit pages in the Excerpt tab. If you don’t see this option you may need to select Excerpt from the Screen Options tab on the top right of the page.
Hope that helps!
Hannah
Hi,
I’m working on a Chinese website and encountered a problem of setting the excerpt words of my post to show up on the home page. It showed the whole paragraph characters instead but it should show part of the paragraph characters. My website is *Login to see link Please teach me how to tackle that serious problem.

Just change to this:
@media (min-width: 1200px) {
.container {
width: 1000px;
}
}
.page-header {
display: none;
}

I’ve created a number of menus that are used in different combinations across multiple pages. They are being inserted as a custom Menu Widget in pagebuilder.
I’m looking for the sample code so that I can control
Font,
Font color,
Hover Color,
from the CSS Child Template so that it will control all menus on all pages.
Thanks
Hi,
I use the following css to hide the page header and get the site width narrowed to 1000px. This works on desktop view, but my issue is that when on mobile view, the page header will reappear, essentially wiping out the display:none page-header css. Is there a way to fix this? It has stumped me for quite some time. Thanks.
For example see *Login to see link
@media (min-width: 1200px) {
.container {
width: 1000px;
}
.page-header {
display: none;
}
Hey Carla,
The blog and portfolio page templates are set up to push page content to the top and place posts underneath. If you want you can add your posts via shortcode rather than the templates. See here- http://docs.kadencethemes.com/pinnacle/#shortcodes
Or you can use the sitewide footer call to action (Appearance > Footer). That will add content to the bottom of all your pages.

Any idea how to change the product to be full-width of the column? I tried changing .tcol-md-4 { width: 100%; } but that changes the products on my category pages. Is there place in the theme where I don’t have to use CSS? Thanks in advance!
Ryan
I’m confused? I’m fully on board with your site taking to long to load. That’s something you need to fix.
You need to optimize. Here check this post: https://www.kadencewp.com/need-for-speed/
Is there a certain browser where your seeing the home page not load? I’m seeing all the pages load just takes a really long time. Mostly it’s loading till your site times out.
By the way have you tried deactivating wordfence. It’s one of the slower security plguins and your server may not work with it.
Ben
1. I’m seeing a line on your home page because you have selected that the home page have a transparent header and this the “page title” area is behind it. If you don’t want this simply go to theme options > home slider and make sure “Place behind Header” is turned off.
2. If you would like to change the height of your header you can do that in your theme options > site header. There is a slider for the “Header Height”
Ben
Hey Mike,
Are you using the latest version of the theme? It could have been an issue with your menus. If this happens again go to your appearance > menus page and click on manage locations then click save.
Hannah
Becuase your so far back you won’t see an update within wordpress you will have to manually update: https://www.kadencewp.com/manually-updating-a-theme/
try downloaded from the my account page again. If it again doesn’t work send me your login info to kadence themes using “Set as private reply”
That will let me see whats going on.
Ben
If your using a fullwidth slider (like forcing fullwidth) Turn off the full width stretched row in your pagebuilder.
Ben
I loaded the Kadence Importer as instructed on your web page, however when I try to use it I get a message, “kadence-importer cannot be loaded”. I’ve deleted the tool, and reinstalled and that doesn’t help. I’m trying to load the demo content for Pinnacle.
I am hosted, by Bluehost using WordPress 4.5.2

Hey Manu,
Hundreds of people are using Virtue Premium with page builder and not experiencing issue. Are you using the latest version of the theme? Do you mind posting a link to your site?
Hannah
Ty Hannah.
On this site i use kadence slider. Is there an option to have the slider on all pages?
Hi there,
Last Friday i’ve had an error on the homepage of my site and i could not log-in on WordPress. The error said: Warning: attempt to assign property of non-object in /costumers/1/9/8/a3architecten.com/httpd.www/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/lib/nav.php on line 39. And this like 30x on the homepage.
I’ve had contact with the hosting provider and they don’t know what the problem could be. (at the moment of writing this message).
The error eventually disappeared the day after and i could log-in again, but i’m really curious to know why this error happened.
Does anybody know what this could have been?
Please let me know.
Cheers, Mike
Hi.
In all my Pages i built a line with Page Builder, to put at the end of the Page to be a Footer.
However, in Blog Page and Portfolio Page, this line stays in the begging of the Page.
For example, in Portfolio Page, I built a line for Title and a line for Footer, but I can not control the position of Portfolios, so it appear:
Line Title
Line Footer
Portfolio.
In Blog Page, I add the line for Footer and I can not control the position with blog posts.
How can I control de positions?
My website is *Login to see link
Thank you,
Carla
