Hi,

I’m using eg the home on sale carousel on my home page.

Sometimes I experiense that the prices in the carousel shows prices ex VAT.

When showing the productpage its incl VAT thus I think that it is something with the carousel

Hi Hannah and Ben
Thought you might like to know the solution to this problem. I did create a Portfolio page using Virtue and got the error message but I had forgotten that I had a folder in my site called portfolio. The web server was refusing access to that folder rather than the path http://allanjackson.net/portfolio created through the Virtue theme. Renaming the portfolio folder fixed the problem.

I had the website complete and the Blog was added as an afterthought. All of the web pages are, of course, “Pages”. The blog, however, are all “Posts”. When viewing the Blog all the posts are truncated to 80 characters, the max I could set in Blog Options. The person doing the blogging would prefer that the entire post appear, not an excerpt.

As I understood Ben’s suggestion it was to set up a “Page” using the Blog template, and that would solve this problem. However, it appears that we then don’t get some of the other advantages of actual Posts, such as the Archives in the right sidebar. As I said earlier, I an NOT blog savvy so I could clearly be doing something wrong.

Hi, I have a problem when displaying links (they are usually longer) in a post in the start of the text for example, then in excerpts it showing full link in one row and it is overlapping the next one (at the home page). And in excerpts the style from the post is lost, I mean when I push enter for another row there is no enter in excerpts, everything goes one after the other. Is there any solution for this?

Thanks for the quick reply Ben. I was playing around with this just now, but I see some other issues created using this method. Let me qualify this by saying that I am NOT a blog guy so I could well be doing something wrong, but when I try this approach it doesn’t dynamically create and update the Archives like standard blog posts would. Having the blogger on this site use Posts instead of updating a “Blog Page” makes things easier for her, allows her to title each post more simply, etc. Is there a way to do this and show each post in its entirely, not as excerpts? 3b. I believe that is your woocommerce > settings > checkout > paypal > description text.
But it’s not just that simple text that causes what you are worried about. It’s after you click to go to paypal.

4. You can use pagebuilder or the theme column shortcodes (click virtue shortcodes) and place each image in a column.

Hey,
Your main blog page. Make sure you use the “blog” page template. And in your settings > reading. Make sure you have not selected a page as the posts page. Just leave the selection blank.

Within the blog page template there is an option to show full post.

I’ve found a number of similar questions but none that addresses this question specifically. How do I get the full content of each blog post to display instead of an excerpt? I can get this to work on the archive pages, but not on the main blog page. Thanks for any help!

is stripe as simple as paypal to integrate

no, you would need ssl on your site to secure the transaction so it’s more work to set up.

It doesn’t matter with the theme what payment option you want to use.

I do feel that the way the checkout page is set up there may be some people who don’t have paypal and will still be confused that they can pay with the cc to payal without an account

^ that is the number 1 complaint with paypal, they want people to make an account on there site and don’t make it obvious you don’t need one.

I recommend both.

Hey,
In that page go to your seo settings. Or whatever plugin is adding that and manually set the page description. Right now because your are using pagebuilder you have to set a description because the plugin is pulling from the page and with pagebuilder it’s pulling into the testimonial loop and outputting code it shouldn’t into the head of the page.

categories: business cards
Products: normal visiting cards, exclusive Business cards ..

because only the categories appear on the cover page and in the store and once you click on that category take me to all products.

Hi,
I have a few questions about the sidebar on the product category pages:
1. In the sidebar, I want to show the parent product category with the child subcategories. Unfortunately, the woocommerce product category widget only has the oprtion to either show ALL product categories or only the child subcategories. So let’s say I have the categories shirts, pants, shoes.
When I click on shirts, in the sideabr I would like it to show “shirts” as the title in the sidebar and the subcategories of “shirts” underneath. And when you click on a subcategory of “shirts”, it should still show exactly the same sidebar (with “shirts” as the title and underneath the subcategories) but the active subcategory should be highlighted. Does this make sense?
2.How can I hide the arrows that are displayed after the menu links in the sidebar?
3. I changed the sidebar width on the product category pages to 20%, could you please tell me the right selector for the other column? It should be 80%.
