    Hey,
No it’s not. Your sending users to a new page you can’t force them back..

I’m confused why you would want the second step at all? But based on what you’re doing the user now has an extra page open every time they want to see an image larger. You can’t close that page the users has to.

I think you are thinking the “menu” is what you see when you look in the portfolio posts page of your admin.. Those are ordered by date not “menu” If you’re wanting that order then you can order by date and you’ll have it.

    Hi there,

I am just in the process of trying out different ways of doing invoices through WordPress and have stumbled on a promissing plugin called Sprout Invoices. Only thing is that it breaks up the page and messes things up. I checked their support and found that I wasn’t the only one, who has had such problems –

    What do you reckon?

    Cheers,
    Asmus

If you want one page to have portfolio posts from say portfolio-type “photos”

You can create a page select the portfolio grid page and save the page.

Then you will see options to set what portfolio-type you want to be displayed on that page. In this example you could choose photos. You don’t need to use a shortcode if that’s all you’re wanting to accomplish.

I’ve set up two login protected content pages on this site:

Instead of the way the menu currently works (where when those pages are visible, they can be clicked on and then the membership login prompts users to register) I’d like to have the menu that people see (currently on display) when they are not logged in be different from that of the logged in menu (the two pages that are members only would only be visible on the menu once the user has logged in via secret login page provided by the administrator). How can I do this?

Using WP Simple Membership plugin to protect said content, but it doesn’t seem to have options to change nav bar or provide an alternate nav bar.

Am I going to need to dive into the functions.php?

On the homepage at the bottom, the images for blog posts are cropped to a square.

How can you leave post-excerpt-image for blogposts in original landscape format?

I have tried in Blog options.

    Hi Ben,

thanks a lot. With your help I’m in the right direction.

By clicking the smaller image appears a lightbox, which contains the fullsized image.
The only problem is – the fullsized image only appears if you right click on the mouse-show graphics. (Firefox)
Is it possible to return from the fullsized image to the page with the smaller image without using navigation of the browser?

    here is my attempt: http://wordpress10xx.galaxyphoto.de/emission-nebulae

    Best regards

On demo premium page, on fullwidth menu, add another drop down menu ( for example, on about)! Many thanks!

If they all have the same number, then there isn’t an order for your portfolio to follow.

The lower the number, the earlier it will display on your portfolio page.

It’s not you can use a plugin to set menus based on page… see here: https://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/ce-wp-menu-per-page

But it’s still one site so you would have a logo and all your theme options for the header applying to all.

If you truly want to make two differnet site styles based on this then I suggest creating two sites. Place one in a subdomain and just link between the to.

    Hi Hannah,
So to understand you correctly, I need to use a shortcode to specify what portfolio grid page (category) that I want individual portfolio pages to be posted on…yes? How do I develop these shortcodes for each page? Thanks!

So where are you linking to? If you’re linking to an email then you would want to use a coming soon style setup not a splash page.

If you’re linking to another page other then the home page (I’m not as to why..) but you also shouldn’t use a splash page but instead look at making your front page look like a splash page since you are effectively no longer wanting a front page.

Finally I can’t see the purpose in all this but there is always the option of editing the splash plugin your using and changing the button link.

You can setup a Testimonial Grid Page to accomplish this.

All you have to do is create a page and assign it the Testimonial Grid Template under the Page Attributes.

Once a page is created with that template selected, you’ll have options to build your testimonial page.

    Hi everyone

How can I change the color of a drop down menu please see this link and look under either about us or shop. I would like to change the color so its the same color as the background and change the text color as well. I would like to change the color so the highlighted page is also highlighted if that is clear enough.

So sorry to be such a pain

    Hello!

I want to know if I can have a different menu and header from my shop and the blog page. If the answer is positive, how can I do it?

    Thanks.
