Hey,
You can make the image link to a custom page using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-gallery-custom-links/

You can’t have the lightbox use two image sizes you can can it link to a smaller file but you can’t have it link to two image sizes where you click again and it shows another size.

Hey Mark,
You can create a custom sidebar from Theme Options > Misc Settings then in Appearance > Widgets add a staff posts shortcode to a text widget. Like this: [staff_posts ratio=landscape masonry=false link=true orderby=date items=4 columns=2 limit_content=true height=200]
Then you can select that specific sidebar from your edit page[s].

3. It’s not possible to break the title using br tag. Not with the Kadence Slider.

Hi Ben,

I want to link to a new page, where I can show the image in a larger size ( let’s say 800x600px).
This new page should also include some text and at least a link to the fullsize image.

Is it possible to hover the midsize image (800x600px) and clicking it will show the fullsize image?

Hey,
In your portfolio grid page you can choose to only show one category. That’s part of the page options. Also the same with your home carousel you can choose to only show on category in the theme options > home layout. Scroll down to the carousel settings.

? I’m not sure what you mean? You have options in your woocommerce settings to show products or subcategories on the category pages but never options to remove both…

It’s just css, you can change where the icon is pointing by using your own icon font.. see here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/svg-vector-icon-plugin/

Once you have the icon font loaded then you can just use css to change out in the places you want.

If You need help post a link to a page where you have your own icon font showing and I can help with the css.

1. Where is this block? I’m seeing a custom carousel with only three items.
2. The demo is using product posts types. Those are from woocommerce which is the ecommerce plugin you would need to run an online store. See here: https://www.kadencewp.com/installing-woocommerce/

3. It depends on what you’re using as products. If you’re using woocommerce then sure you can show a grid of products or a carousel. For a grid you can use any of the woocommerce shortcodes : https://docs.woothemes.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/

Like: [recent_products per_page="12" columns="4"]

4. In the apperance > menus page you can add a custom link… say you label it “Agriculture Bag” then in the link field add #

That will make it not link anywhere.

i need to edit the menu HTML code. the reason for this is i am using anchor links on a one page design and i need the menu to collapse on click. so i need to add the appropriate code to do this. such as in the case of the contact link:

<span>Contact</span>

can you please direct me to the appropriate file to edit please?

I tried using a wordpress plugin but the it produces a page which is not in line with the virtue theme. The plugin administrator states that this can be amended by the theme administrator and I was wondering whether it was possible to update the virtue theme for eventbrite optimisation. The eventbrite widget using another widget called keyring. Here is what the plugin developer says: “While a theme doesn’t need to know about the plugin to display events, it’s always best if the theme developer makes a theme “Eventbrite-optimized”. That isn’t an option within woocommerce. You would have to edit or hook into the shipping options in the woocommerce files. Because that’s a radio button I don’t really recommend it. I would suggest just adding information in the footer of your page about shipping options.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for getting back to me.

To provide a little more information, I think something has gone a bit adrift since my recent WordPress update. If I update plugins now, I’m prompted to enter my FTP credentials, which never happened before, and although the update actually installs, it appears to hang in an updating state indefinitely. If I navigate away, I can see that it has in fact gone through. I can avoid this issue be deactivating before updating, and the reactivating.

However, twice the site has gone completely when I tried to update the Virtue theme, so something screwy is going on, although i have no idea when the problem may lie.

I am self-hosting my site on a Synology NAS, and the latest version of WordPress that they offer is 4.3.2-115. The problems started after this update, so I have contacted them as well, to see if they can throw any light on this.

The PHP is 5.6. There are no upload limits, but I don’t know if there’s a max execution time.

Hello,

I have the same problem. I check that the right shop page is selected in woocommerce > settings > products > display and also for cart and checkout. But I still don’t have any product shown in the home page (www.brasserie-du-manoir.ch).
