    Hi there!

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you here.

If all the blocks use the same units and values for styles like padding, margins, font sizes, etc., they should scale uniformly.

Please note that we cannot view your localsite right now and it’s better if we can view a public page. This lets us inspect the issue right away and recommend better block settings.

Since you’re using the Kadence Blocks plugin, try to import similar layouts from our Design Library. This should give you ideas on how to set up your block styles.

Let me know how I can assist you further with this.

    Hi, Justin!

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you here.

If you’re using a block to show the grey line, try to add a negative left and right margin to it so it will expand the block and fill the whole width of the content area.

Let me know if this works. If not, give me a page URL so I can see if there is an available CSS code to use.

    Hi there!

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you here.

If you want to use the LearnDash login/logout block, add a widget item to your Kadence header (note that this header item is only available in Kadence Pro) and use the LearnDash block for the login/logout.

If you have free, add the HTML header item. Then, add the LearnDash shortcode from this page.

Watch this video of how I did it – https://share.zight.com/eDubxAnw

I hope this helps, and let me know if I can assist you further.

    Hi there!

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

There are built-in options in our Kadence Theme Customizer settings to have a different value for desktop, tablet, and mobile. The indication for that are the device icons on the right side of the option name.

For blog posts, go to Customize > Posts/Pages Layout > Single Post Layout.

Thanks, it was behind a maintenance wall a few weeks ago when I first posted the issue.

I think I may have combated the spacing issue a bit by giving the row a smaller margin but not the wrap around the image one. Now the site is live I have encountered another issue where my menu item in mobile disappears when the user is on that page, the drop down arrow to the 2nd level also disappears. How do I get it to remain even when the user is on the page already? If it disappears then they will not know there are other option after that page as the arrow disappears too.

    TIA!

    Hi @grullo29,

    I’d be happy to help.

I reviewed your website, and on your post page, the first text appears to be coming from the Post Excerpt, followed by the Post Content. Please refer to the screenshot for clarification: https://share.zight.com/P8uKlPQg.

You can disable the excerpt from the post layout by following these steps:

    • Go to Customizer > Posts/Pages Layout > Post Layout.
    • Under Title Elements, locate Excerpt.
    • Click on the eye icon to disable the excerpt.
    • For reference, check this screenshot: https://share.zight.com/z8u9w2bm.

I hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist you further.

    Best Regards,

Should I be using REM and Clamp for the fonts and blocks so that everything scales on page simultaneously?

If this is the case, do you have a walkthrough of how to best achieve this so that it’s clean and responsive?

    #292305

    Hi Sven,

The Page Settings only have a built-in option to set the featured image Above, Behind and Below the page title as shown in this screencast:
    https://share.zight.com/xQukvR1O

Can you confirm if you are unable to achieve this?

The Single Post Layout has a built-in option to use the Featured Image as the Post Title Background in the theme Customizer > Posts/Pages Layout > Single Post Layout – DESIGN tab.

    Cheers,
    Eze

    Hi there!

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

Mine is using H3 HTML tag – https://share.zight.com/mXuN7blK

Could you give me a page URL to inspect your page code? You can mark your reply as private so only the support team can see it.

I have enabled display featured image on ‘page layout’, I have enabled it to show behind the title and chosen an aspect ratio of 2:1 as this seems to be the smallest, however the image is still too big.. What I want to is only show about 500px in height of the image, stretched across the screen, but I’m not sure how to achieve this, Please see the old site url

    Old site:
    the new site is:

As you can see the new site shows much more of the image and it is too big and out of proportion, surely this must be an easy thing to do using Kadence? or should I be going about this another way, maybe using a slider or something else?

I’m currently designing a homepage for a website, and when resizing my browser window, the section I have with the 8 blue info boxes do not all scale to the same size at the same time. They look great when viewed in full-screen on desktop, tablet, and mobile, however, when I start to resize the browser window to make the window smaller, the info boxes all start to change sizes and not look uniform.

I’m having the same issue for the testimonials section, as well as the banner image buttons, and the header menu button.

I’ve tried setting min-heights for the text and title portions of the info boxes, and both have not fixed the issue. I’ve also tried setting custom full-height CSS for the row layout block, and it didn’t seem to work either. However, I copied custom CSS from another thread where someone else had a similar issue with the info boxes not scaling uniformly.

Any help would be extremely appreciated. And, if this is an issue that can be fixed across the board for the testimonials, banner image buttons, and header menu button, I would love to know what I’m doing wrong so that I can fix it and not make the same mistake on future sites going forward.

I’m working off of a LocalWP instance, as I’m building out a demo site. I’ve included the URL and the login details below.

    Hi @erminalkil,

I’m glad you reached out. I’d be happy to help.

I tested the list item at my end. It is working as expected without any error. Check the screenshot for reference: https://share.zight.com/mXuNEk6K

The error message “Block contains unexpected or invalid content” in the Gutenberg editor typically indicates that there is an issue with the content or structure of a block in your WordPress post or page.

This usually happens if there’s an incorrect or malformed HTML markup within a block, it can trigger this error. Manually editing the block HTML or copying content from external sources may introduce formatting problems.

    Check the documentation here: https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-blocks/how-to-recover-a-broken-block/

I hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist you further.

    2. How can I change the color of the arrows on the Advanced gallery slider?

    Hi Shaun,

I’m glad you reached out, I’d be happy to help.

You should be able to see a good representation of the actual page when you are editing the page using the Gutenberg Editor.

I am not able to replicate this issue on my test website.

    Here’s a screen recording for reference: https://share.zight.com/9Zu6YK0E

Can we have the link to your website or are you working on a local environment?

This issue seems unique to your website.

For initial troubleshooting, please could you do the steps listed in this article https://www.kadencewp.com/blog/how-to-troubleshoot-your-website? This will help us rule out these usual causes of WordPress issues, so we can move on to investigating other possible causes of this issue on your website.

Let us know how it works out, and we’re happy to offer further help.

    Best regards,
    Teejay.

    Hi Thomas,

I’m glad you reached out, I’d be happy to help.

You screenshot is showing Gutenberg Editor.

From what I can see, the left side you are referring to is the Document Overview.

    Here’s a screen recording for reference: https://share.zight.com/X6uGYKOK

The Document Overview (left) is essentially a high-level navigation tool. It’s designed to give you a quick glance at the overall structure of your page and provide fast access to the content and blocks you’re editing. It helps you manage and arrange the sections of the page, but it does not display or apply the full visual styling or design elements you’ve set for the page.

I see that you are using a mobile or table sizes screen when editing the page.

    Here’s a screen recording for reference: https://share.zight.com/yAugoJY6

It seems like there might be some confusion between the Document Overview and the actual Gutenberg Editor area. The Document Overview is not the editor itself; rather, it serves as a structural tool to help you navigate and organize the blocks and content of your page. On the other hand, the Gutenberg Editor area (on the right) is where you actively design and see the visual representation of your content, reflecting the live preview of how the page will appear with all styling and layout applied.

Here’s a reference on how to use the Gutenberg Editor: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-use-the-new-wordpress-block-editor

I hope this helps. If I misunderstood what you’re trying to do or if what I have shown is still not working for you, please let us know, and we’ll be more than happy to help.

    Best regards,
    Teejay.
