404 not found is an HTTP status code error that indicates the specific page you are trying to visit is non-existent.

Can you contact your hosting provider and ask for an error log file? If there is a log file, send it to us, it will help to debug the issue

Also, I would recommend you create a staging environment and then update the website. If you are not familiar with staging websites, you can ask your hosting provider to set up a staging environment for you.

I just updated my site ( mikeschaffnerphotography.com from 1.1.42 to 1.1.43 I do use a child-theme. All I got when trying to go to the site was a blank page. This was true on multiple browsers. I checked it on a “is it down” site and it said it was down and returned a 404 error. I on current version of WP and all plugins.

I did a rollback to 1.1.42 and it immediately worked as expected.

Is there something I should have been doing differently?

I have a conditional header that shows on all of a website’s commercial pages and products. Is there a way to add a URL to the logo so the user is not directed back to the main “home page”, for example, domain(dot)com but instead goes to something like domain(dot)com/commercial/?

Hi,

I use Image (Adv) Block and TOC of Kadence. Additionally, I need lazy loading as the pages have many images. When I switch on lazy loading, the TOC links do not “jump” to the headings, but point somewhere in the content. If I switch off lazy loading, the TOC links work, but my “Largest Contentful Paint” is too bad.

Is there any trick to fix it? I would like to have lazy loading AND TOC working on the page with many images.

Hi there,

Sometimes when I use the “Post Grid” block within my blog posts, I set it to just show one post. I always adjust the border to 10px and make the border white. This puts a nice frame around the block. Lately, when I adjust the border to be 10px, it looks correct in the editor, but there is no border on the live page. Or the border is only on one side instead of all the way around, even though I am definitely setting it to 10px for all four sides. See pictures of how it looks in editor vs live. You’ll notice it best if you look at the lefthand photograph and how there’s no white edges around it on the live version. Here is the page from the pictures.

If I also mess around with a lot of other settings like the container padding, header padding, etc etc, then I can force it to work. But why doesn’t it work the way it used to when all I had to do was set a border?

Hi Kadence team/theme!

It seems that all my ‘theme options’ pages are blank … I tried disabling all plugins, switched to the main (not child) theme, to see if a conflict was there, but no success.
Any thoughts? Can make a temporary login if you want.

Ok after looking for a way to edit the testimonials block for 15 minutes, it appears there must be a problem. How do you edit the testimonials block. I added a testimonials block to the page but there is no way to edit it. I can’t click into the block nor edit the sample text.

Hello everyone,

this is my first time setting up a homepage with Kadence (or anything, for that matter). I’m happy with the result except for one problem.

I’m trying to include a widget into a page (not header or footer) from an external website. To display the widget, I have to enter HTML head and body code.

This I did using the custom HTML block. Now the widget is displayed correctly in the preview, but not showing when I look at the page.

Also, everything that is below the widget on the draft is also no longer showing.

Is there something I need to do differently?

My site is currently on Localhost. But you can easily check the problem if in “Social Network Links” in the field “CUSTOM 1” add the link “viber://chat?number=%2B12223334567”

As a result, the link will not appear on the site page…

I am having the same problem. I just posted this new blog post minutes ago, here. On desktop it has the carousel layout but on mobile it’s a grid. It can’t possibly be a cache problem because the post is brand new, it never existed before, there are no past caches of this page.

* Advanced Slider’s Inner Max Width setting
* Row Layout’s Content Max Width setting

Hello…

Using a Virtue Premium child theme, I cannot find a way to disable the default “Back to Top” arrow that appears on the bottom right of each page—but not at all in any mobile browsers (Chrome, Safari).

Because the “Back to Top” button does not appear on mobile devices, I’ve installed a nice plug-in (WPFront Scroll Top) that does the job. However, now BOTH buttons appear in desktop browsers, but only the plug-in’s button appears on mobile devices.

How can I disable the default button, so that only the plug-in version appear in both places, since that is the one that works on both desktop and mobile?

I have seen CSS code provided in this forum (8+ years ago!) that changes the appearance of that default button, but my attempt at using that like this:

display: none !important;
}

…does not work. I’d like to keep the blue arrow (plug-in version) and remove/disable the gray square arrow (default).

when using an advanced slider block for three slides in the home page header areas, is there a trick to getting the slider full width? When I install the slider block, no matter what I do, I cannot get the slide to cover the full width of the screen. It does appear that the slider is full width, however, the row inside is not.

I was using a prebuilt row design in the slider. After playing with the width settings in both the slider and the row, I am unable to get it full width. I’ve tried changing images, setting the slider and row to full width, changing max width to 2000, wide width, no row gutter.
