Dear Team,
Hoping all fine and good health there?
Only the above feature is the lack to launch my new website. In some tutorial, I saw particular and decided to move from OceanWP Pro themes to Kadence. Base website structure I ready but difficult to achieve extra highlight text below buy button and payment gateway logos.
Please guide me to restructure product layout with virtue child bold theme Or is it possible 2nd alternative with Kadence free base theme with rest woo-commerce functionality on shop page and check out too?
One more question – Woo extra plugin is compatible with other Non-Kandence Themes?
Hoping to reply back soon with the solution.
Regards

Hi John,
I’m doing well, thanks! Hope you are too.
All custom css added to your Advanced Settings in Theme Options gets stored into your database and is saved with updates. The only reason css wouldn’t be saved is if you added it straight to the theme files without using a child theme. Does that make sense? As for HTML, have you added any into your site? That would be a good thing to add to your child theme, depending on what/where it is.Best,
HannahIn forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Child theme questions
Hi Hannah,
How are you?
Recently I’ve undertaken cleaning out the media folder for http://www.johngrahamtours.com which had accumulated over 500 files, many of them loaded at about 500kb apiece. I’m trying to delete large files, replacing them with smaller (100-200kb) sized files. I found that not knowing the size of each individual file was really slowing down my efforts, so I took the advice of some forum writers and implemented a child theme and stuck a bunch of html in the php file in order to show a column of file sizes in the media folder. So far so good.
My question for you is this:
Should I move all of the specialized css and other html from the “Advanced Settings” section in Theme Options > Advanced Settings into this child theme? That way, I don’t lose any of it if there is a major update to the theme, as I understand it.If you have advice on this, or anything else related to the child theme, please let me know. I did read this entry article: *Login to see link
Cheers, John

July 20, 2020 at 11:16 am #2532165. The plugin is lite so it’s really up to you, using a child theme would be more performant by a little.
6. Some time in august 🙂

July 17, 2020 at 2:09 pm #253161Thanks, Ben!
1. Ok, I’ll wait to see how it looks once that featured image is available.
2. I’m definitely going to set some custom pages for the ones I want to customize beyond the typical, but it would be great if the “average” archive page also has the option of styling the excerpt text and “read more” link as if it were the post grid block. (Feature request for a future update?). I have plenty of categories and tags (It’s a travel blog, so think of lots of cities and countries around the world! Plus other topics…), so it would be an unreal pain having to create a custom page for each random tag.
3 and 4. Awesome! looking forward to it.
5. I’m guessing I need to keep the say what plugin active for it to work? Or is it a find, replace, and delete the plugin kind of situation? If I have to keep it active, would it be better instead to create a child theme to avoid having a plugin just to change a sentence? Not sure what would be best to keep things lean and performing well.
6. Awesome! I know on the website it says it will come out during the summer, but is there a “guestimate” on when that could be? Just to have an idea on a working and testing timeframe on my side before migrating things to the live site.
Thanks!

July 15, 2020 at 3:16 pm #253029If it’s BuddyBoss or the Child theme I dont’ know – but it worked!
Thank you for the quick answer and the fix my cuddled up buttons 🙂

In forum: Ascend ThemeThe child theme has some css in it and one function to make beaver builder work with the header and footers.
We are using this option in imagify
The second option replaces the
tags with <picture> tags. This is the preferred solution but some themes may break, so make sure to verify that everything seems fine.
It replace
with <pictur> tags.

In forum: Membership ForumsTopic: Problem with Contact Form 7
Hello, I have the following problem, after updating my sites with new WordPress version 5.4.2., and both Virtue Premium 4.9.24 and Ascend Premium 1.9.12. and Contact Form 7 5.2. I have the following problem.
On pages where I have displayed Contact Form 7 form, when I change and save content, I want to go to other pages or to Theme Editor I receive the following warning:
“This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave – data you have entered may not be saved – Leave page / Stay on page”
Changes to the page are made, but I get this message always.I tried to switch to default Twenty Twenty theme and the problem is gone.
Even tried to switch to the parent theme (I use child themes) but the problem is still there.
Can you please check what is going on. Will send you the login details to one page so you can test it by yourself, thanks Gabi-

July 10, 2020 at 2:20 pm #252776Hey,
I did a quick test, I activated the Parent theme and the error went away. So the issue must be coming from something in your child theme. Have you tried edited your child theme to find what you are adding that is breaking?Ben

July 10, 2020 at 12:03 am #252734Currently we are not using a child theme.
It would be great if you could ask the developer if there`s a simple way to add a custom function for this.
We would need a widget area at the right side of the main menu area.
(similar to what you can see at this website: https://www.kindernothilfe.at/Elsa

July 9, 2020 at 4:41 pm #252722Hey,
using a child theme you would need to hook into “kt_after_right_header_content” with a function in your child theme.Ben
