In reply to: recaptcha on Contact Form 7 plugin
November 6, 2018 at 2:09 pm #206666Hey,
Kadence recaptcha will not show on a contact form 7 form.I see your screenshot is not showing any error with Recaptcha that is an error with your form not able to send. It’s possible you don’t have a mail server correctly installed for the site or something else. I suggest you check your php error logs to learn more and talk with your host about the sites mail server.

I may consider using Kadence recaptcha with comment and log in forms. Didn’t think about that. Sounds like a good idea as long as it doesn’t create a problem using Contact Form 7 with Google Recaptcha keys.

November 5, 2018 at 10:05 pm #206569Hey,
Can you post a link, it sounds like an api issue. If you are using contact form 7 you don’t need the Kadence Recaptcha unless you want to add Recaptcha to the comment form or login form.
The quote you referenced is about installing another plugin: Contact Form 7 Captcha by 247wd and adding there Captcha to the contact form 7 form.
Ben
In forum: Ascend ThemeIt seems the recaptcha always causes an error message, try again, circled by orange line that indicates possible spam. When I remove the recaptcha, forms submit successfully. Seems others have had this problem. they assume it’s a theme problem interfacing. I didn’t install the Kadence Recaptcha. Should I? Do you have a tutorial on using it within Contact Form 7. I am using Ascend theme.
Here’s what someone did to correct the problem:
“I have worked around the problem using plugin Contact Form 7 Captcha by 247wd and adding the tag [cf7sr-simple-recaptcha] to my contact forms.”Have no idea what they are referring to.

October 21, 2018 at 3:41 pm #204888Hey,
Contact form 7 is great, wpforms is our current recommended its a little easier to add more fields to but not much. The builder in one in our themes is not powered by any plugins.Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Contact Form — which plugin?
HI Folks
I remember that we used to have contact form 7 as the default install form plugin, but don’t see it now in the plugins.
We normally use gravity forms anyway, but sometimes keep the simple contact form you have.
Is that driven by contact form 7 or not any more?Just want to follow best practices.
Thanks!

Hello,
1. I can give you some CSS to make your contact form match the rest of your site. Can you please post a link to it?
2. The best way to customize your contact for is to use a plugin. Either contact form 7 or wp forms are great options:
https://www.kadencewp.com/create-custom-contact-forms-with-wpforms/
https://www.kadencewp.com/custom-contact-forms/3. You should be able to do that with either plugin.

In forum: Virtue ThemeI realize that this is outside of normal support, but any help you can provide would be SO appreciated as my only option at this point is to redesign the website with a different theme. I have had the iHomefinder IDX plugin working with Virtue Premium for 2-3 years. Recently when I did updates, the buttons for buyer leads to contact the realtor broke (schedule showing, request info, and save to favorites): *Login to see link I tried deactivating all plugins except iHomefinder IDX with no success. When I changed themes to 2015 (after reactivating plugins) the problem went away and the contact forms popup. So I know it is a conflict with the theme. I contacted my support team at iHomefinder and was told that it looked like the Virtue theme is blocking js query code needed by the ihomefinder IDX plugin. He also told me he believed this was because of the way CSS in the bootstrap is nested. Can you please take a look at this to see if there is a work-around you can recommend? I would rather not redesign the site. thank you in advance for your help.

October 1, 2018 at 10:32 pm #203078So it seems something isn’t set up correctly in regards to your mailchimp account. Perhaps you need to check your api key and reconnect. Right now the plugin you have installed for woocommerce and mailchimp is not connected to any account. This causes errors to load on the front end because it’s trying to load this script with the wrong account information:
https://chimpstatic.com/mcjs-connected/js/users/b3eadd09fe07aca26a931cd21/82cac717065ab407666f8b69b.js?ver=2.1.9So first thing would be to reconnect your mailchimp account with your site, make sure you have the right api key and then test to make sure when you run a signup that the email is in fact being added to your lists.
Similarly, with google ads this id doesn’t seem to want to connect:
google_ad_client: "ca-pub-2204313292048717"I suggest re checking that ad client ID with adsense then if it’s correct contacting them. If that is the correct code then you have not yet validated your site and you need to have them walk you through those steps.

In forum: Ascend ThemeSeptember 15, 2018 at 6:12 am #201480hi Ben/Hannah,
I’ve installed plugin WP forms and was under the impression that is what I’m using (Contact form).
I want to make use of Mailchimp and noticed now that I’ve also got Contact from 7.
Asume I can link the WP Forms to Mailchimp OR do I need to have additional plugin?Another thing that bothers me is I cannot see on my existing contact form that I use the WP forms for it: [kt_contact_form style=”light” enable_math=”false”]
On my home page I have subscribe option, is that one perhaps using the WP forms plugin?
I am Sooooooo very Confused. What I want is a pop up on home page for people to subscribe, and then obviously a contact form (page), right?
Why do some people have a subscribe pop up and then a few minutes later another pop up re: newsletter. Isn’t it same thing :-)?Which pop up is best to use?
thanks in advance.
regards

August 9, 2018 at 2:58 pm #198409Hey Dannell, Can you tell me what version of the theme you are using. Current is 4.7.4
In your theme options,> misc settings have you set the contact form email?
If you up to date and set the email next install this plugin and make sure your server has an email server set up: https://wordpress.org/plugins/check-email/
Run a test through that to see if your site can send mail.

August 6, 2018 at 4:00 pm #198022Hey,
Part of the reason for the “convenience” vs using a plugin like contact form 7 or wp forms (even easier) is that lack of options and set up.But your request is not alone many have asked for different fields like the subject or full name or whatever. If we go down the path of creating all these options it will require additional setup or adjustment and then we should basically create a plugin :). It’s a hard one to weigh out. And Phone number would be below subject on the request list so it’s hard to see it being added soon. Perhaps we will consider it as a block for Gutenberg.

Hi Smith,
The theme contact form is pretty limited. I would suggest using a plugin like this- https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/
Hope that’s helpful!Hannah

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: The Event Calendar
Dear Support,
I would like to start using The Event Calendar plug in but the the Virtue template seems to do some unwanted changes to the way an event looks. Here’s an example on my page *Login to see link
As you can see the event details are a bit our of place and located vertically on the left. In reality in most of the templates I tested both details and map should be at the bottom page such in *Login to see link I had some contact with the developers confirming that the template I use has some formatting that they will not support to change (in the free version of the plug in).
Question is whether you can please help me out to bring the event detail content at the bottom like in *Login to see link I guess it is just a CSS thing but I have not figured that out yet.
Thank you.

July 21, 2018 at 10:30 pm #196619Hey,
Looks like your using contact form 7. Since that is not our plugin I suggest talking with the plugin authors for how to integrate recaptcha. Else if you want us to check your settings for someone else plugin I would need a login.Ben
