    Hi at Kadence,

    How can I align an inline form to the right in the footer? Something just doesn’t add up. The email form is set to 75% and the button to 25%. But instead of the form taking up 100%, there is gap on the right (screenshot 1). The form has been added through a custom html widget (content align right) with a short code from a hocked element.

    If the width of the button is set to “Unset” the form aligns to the right (screenshot 2) but then the gap simply is on the left. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Screenshot 3 illustrates my final goal – newsletter inline form aligned to the right. Thanks.

    Hi everyone,

    I am using a Text Widget in my footer to insert an email address.

    There is no “Design” option in widgets.

    How can I format the colors and hover effects for links (emails) in the footer?

    Thank you.

    #265970

    I’ve got a HTML widget in the footer with an <a class="button"> element. The problem is that the CSS for .site-footer .site-top-footer-wrap .site-footer-row-container-inner a is overriding the css for .button, so my button’s text color is wrong — it is the color set by --global-palette1 instead of the color set by --global-palette-btn. I can correct this with custom CSS, but I don’t think I should need to — this seems like an error in the theme’s CSS that should be fixed. Is there something I’m missing?

    #265950

    Hello,

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    There is a default style from the theme stylesheet that limits the menu item links to have a max-width of 130px. To override this, add custom CSS in Theme Options > Advanced Settings > Custom CSS:

    #containerfooter .menu li a {
        max-width: 100%;
    }

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Karla

    I’m using the 3-column option for the footer. I have menus displaying but they are not showing full width. How can I change this?

    #265759

    Hey,
    Thanks for reaching out! Apologies for the delay. Kadence Theme has some structural schema (filterable) for things like the header, footer, and sidebar. If you want schema that will affect your rich snippets for SEO results that is all done in an SEO plugin like Yoast.
    Hope that’s helpful!

    Hannah

    Hello,
    I would like to have a repeating image over the entire background including the header but not the footer.
    Can you tell me how to do it on the entire site and also how to do it on just one page?

    Thanks

    Hey Pete,
    Thanks for reaching out! You could use css like this:

    @media (max-width: 768px) {
    .site-middle-footer-inner-wrap.site-footer-row {
        padding: 0 40px;
    }
    .site-top-footer-inner-wrap {
        padding-right: 40px;
        padding-left: 40px;
    }
    }

    Does that work as you’re wanting?

    Kindly,
    Hannah

    #265602

    Ok thanks – I was able to quickly build one and apply it to all pages just above the footer, however I’m not sure I understand how this circumvents the form issue since I still need the contact form for the element? The element isn’t showing :/

    If it helps, I attached a screenshot of the full block – there’s an image, text, H4, and the form, and NONE of it is showing. I feel like this must be a visibility setting but I’ve check everything and they’re all “showing”

    On Kadence Pro Theme the customize Footer gives a lot control but..

    I haven’t found a way to ad left and right spacing for the footer content on mobile devices.

    I haven’t found a CSS fix after many trials on my site.

    Please help…Pete

    Hi Mary,
    It looks like you do not have enough content on your page to push the footer down. Check out this post: https://www.kadencewp.com/knowledge-base/footer-always-at-bottom/
    Hope it helps!

    I am trying to figure out how to ensure the pages display full height as there is a background image that looks odd otherwise.

    body {
    height: 100vh;
    }

    I can achieve this, no problem but the trouble I have encountered is that the footer remains in the same placement on the screen. I am sure it’s something simple, but I can’t figure it out. Please help!

    Hi Hannah,

    The problems started when I added the Widget for the Social-Media-Icons in the footer. Before everything was fine. Deleting the Widget didn’t solve the problem.

    I tried to fix the issue by adding a fixed height in the Slider settings in order to suppress the stretching. But this didn’t solve the problem. But after deleting again the fixed height for the Sliders it somehow came back to normal!

    So the problem is fixed!

    Hi,

    Need to switch from the Classic editor to Gutenberg editor.

    What are the things to be kept in mind before making the switch? Does the switch affect the website pages, posts or plugins?

    I have a running website: and do not possess coding knowledge. Hence, need your help to make this switch.

    Few details about the present website setup:
    • The homepage has been created using SiteOrigin Page Builder. The other pages and posts have been created using the in-built templates available in Virtue premium.
    • 17 plugins are active presently on the website.
    • Several Additional CSS added as and when needed (as per the code provided by the Virtue support team)
    • Widgets have been used for page sidebar, home widget area and footer

    Let me know if you need any further information. I have downloaded a backup of the website.

    Thanks
    Yogi

    Hey Dmitry,
    You can use this CSS to left align your menu items:

    #containerfooter .menu {
        margin: 0;
    }

    Hope that helps!

    Hello.
    I use “Navigation menu” widget in footer.
    Is there a way to align menu items to the left?
    Or maybe align menu name to the menu items?

    Hello Ben,

    Thanks for your quick response.

    I don’t have any issue with your choice regarding the breakpoints, I know that it’s very complicated to find compromises with gutenberg.

    However, I noticed issues in the Kadence CSS styles at 719px and 767px precisely (I set breakpoints in my inspector to check my design at “max mobile vue”, “min tablet vue”, “max tablet vue” and “min desktop vue” – 719px, 720px, 767px, 768px, 1024px and 1025px).

    There are few display bugs on my footer at 719px and in the row layout block at 767px because mobile max-width and tablet min-width are set to the exact same value.

    For row layout blocks, I would have used 768px for tablets min-width and 767px only for mobiles max-width.

    Kindly,
    Estelle
