    Hi!

At Ascend Premium demo theme insert [kt_contact_form] and appears a contact form but ¿where can I find settings for change the mail and the language?

    THANKS!

You are using WPML Widgets, which means in every widget you have Display on language settings. You have them all set to only show on one language. Once you set a widget to show on all languages then it shows in your sidebar.

    Hi Kevin,
Thank you, but I have tested all tree alternatives for language 2 and without any success:
    – Theme Options (default) <– this is used for language one
    – Primary Sidebar
    – Sidebar1

    What else can be done?

    Hi Hannah,
I’m using WPML, but I do not know where to assign the sidebar.
In Post options on post page, I have the same sidebar as in language 1 (Theme Options Default). I’ve tried to change also this option but it doesn’t affect on page. Can you help me in some way?

    regards,

    Pamela

    Hi again,
I’ve a website in two language (Finnish/Swedish). The Posts are also going to be on both languages. From the Swedish posts the right menu is missing. How can this be fixed? I would like to have it like on the Finnish page.

    An example:
    Finnish post: *removed
    Swedish post: *removed

When the menu is back on its place, where can I translate the headings?

You are learning me a lot, thank you! 🙂

    Hi Bill,
You can change this from Theme Options > Language Settings.

    Hello,

I upgraded to Virtue Premium in part to create custom url structures for the portfolio pages on my site. I use portfolios for displaying infographics, videos, recipes, and several language translations of each of these. I wanted to move away from the /portfolio/ permalink format and customize it based on portfolio categories. I found posts in the support forum suggesting /portfolio/%category% would give them category slugs as part of the urls.

So I tried just putting %category% by itself in the portfolio permalink field, and it seemed to work well for the portfolios. Infographics were under /info/ and videos were under /video/. However, without a base for the portfolio url, every post and page cannot be loaded. Unless I add at least one character and a slash before the %category% the site doesn’t work properly.

Does anyone have any experience with this issue? I would rather not add an out-of-place character to the front of the portfolio urls just to make it work. Hoping there’s an effective way to make this work!

Go to theme options > home slider and select “shortcode slider” then in the shortcode entry add the dutch or english slider whatever is your default language.

Then in your polylang settings go to the string translation and find the shortcode entry string. There simply “translate” that shortcode with your other slider for the second language.

Try going to Theme Options> Language Settings, and find “Search Placeholder Text.”

Does that change it for you?

    Hi Erwin,
You will need to create two sliders, one for each language. Then you will translate the shortcode for the slider in your strings. Does that make sense?

Hi, I’am building a site with virtue premium and on the homepage I have kadence slider. Now I want to make the site in Dutch and English. How can I make the kadence slider on the Dutch homepage in dutch and on the English homepage in English? Or is it possible to make for example 2 static homepages, one for English and one for Dutch?

I am not using WPML but Polylang. WPML is not an option because of the pricing.

    Thanks again!
    Regards,
    Erwin

    Hi Alex,
You should be able to set this from Theme Options > Language Settings.
    Does that work for you?

Theme options > language settings. You can change the tab title and text inside the tab.

A menu is setup in wordpress just like pages. That is your content. It doesn’t come from a theme or plugin. You create the menu through your wordpress interface. Then the theme outputs that menu whatever you created. Whatever language you make it in.

It really sounds like these tutorials could really help you understand how wordpress works:

You don’t translate php files. Thats not how this works. The theme doesn’t hold all your content. It’s in your pages and posts that content is added in whatever language you want. If you want a multilingual site you will need a multilingual plugin.

Either way this doesn’t have to do with the theme or it’s files

I’m glad you got it sorted out! Again, sorry for the misunderstanding. If you have some things that are in need of being translated still, you can use this plugin to change strings within the language files:

Problem solved like this: I changed the language to english and then assign the static page as home page. Now it works. Some how in finnish language it does not assign a static page as home(front page).
