Just to inform you that this https://wordpress.org/plugins/cookie-notice/ doesn’t work in more than one language. It’s not compatible neither with my qtranslate-x nor with wpml how you can see in wp-support page.
I’m testing new one and let you know.

    #103851

    Hey Ben,

As my theme is set to french language I am not sure to be in the right place. I went to “Home page / Settings for the blog in the Home Page”. There I set the length for the excerpt to the maximum that is to say 70. But the excerpt in fact comes to 61 and 26 words for the left and the right post respectively ! Of course the posts are longer ( http://321fleurs.com/)

Sorry but the translation sometimes lead to misunterpretation of the items of the options.

    Thank you.

2, 3. Using the inspect tool, you’ll want to find the page specific class within the body tag of the page. Each page will have a title class, as well as a number.
    https://www.kadencewp.com/chrome-inspect-tool/

    6. You’ll have to do them all individually. Like I said, a menu makes way more sense here because your category pages already exist.

    7. See here:
    https://www.kadencewp.com/building-displaying-menus/

    8. Theme Options> Language Settings.

    .related.products h3 {
        text-transform: uppercase;
    }

    10. Not sure what you’re talking about. You can adjust CSS I provided before to have whatever font size you want if you’re talking about the related product titles. If you want to change the body fonts of your products/site that’s controlled here under body:

    Hi Ben,

I think it would be nice if you can implement a simple feature to show a cookie policy bar on top of sticky header or a translatable modal popup that disappears after you click the ok button. It would avoid the use of another plugin that can mess the theme cleanliness.

It’s a suggestion because I tested many plugin and none works as expected cause the sticky bar I set to active. Actually, I’m using Heads up bar but it doesn’t disappear completely letting an unobtrusive icon even I find it hideous. Please, check my site at bottom page.
I’m not able to create it in jquery nor I know how to use a modal shortcode you have in the pinnacle shortcode. Instead, a theme option in home layout could easily fit the case. Just having a bar with colour picker, text editor accepting language quicktags.

    Regards,
    Angelo

    Hey Marie,
You can edit this from Theme Options > Language Settings.

    Hi Ilker,
So sorry to hear you’ve had trouble. That can be so frustrating. I can assure you that Virtue theme is fully compatible in other languages. We would be more than happy to help you get things going. If you could provide a link to your site and some more details on how you have things set up that would great. Or if you would like to send a temp login we would be happy to take a look. You can set as a private reply.
For starters, are you using the latest version of the theme? Are your plugins all up to date? Have you tried clearing your cache?

I just discovered that there is a problem in virtue premium if you want to use it in another language that is not in settings. I spent my 7-8 days and 55$ to understand it. I can understand it also from that my question about this nobody answer. It is ok. No problem. But if I changed themes language to finnish, then product view doesn’t show up. I tried anything that I could. The problem is in the theme. It doesn’t work in finnish wordpress. The only problem is product view doesn’t show. Next time I buy a theme I will be careful about this.

    Hi,
    I changed the language of theme in finnish and also woocommerce plugin in finnish but then product view just dont show up. It says;

Sorry, but the page you were trying to view does not exist.

It looks like this was the result of either:

    a mistyped address
    an out-of-date link

If I change it back to english it works just fine, but I need it in finnish language. I have no idea waht to do 🙁

    Hi,
I think the virtue theme is incredibly versatile and looks great on screen, but I have a quick question which I hope someone can help me with 🙂

The site is written in English and we’ve purchased a plugin that allows instant translation into other languages. My question is, how can I tell the virtue theme to reduce the size of the main navigation text when it’s translated into anything other than English? If you take a look and change the language to French, you’ll see the nav bar drops to two lines because of the extra characters used in the language.

I guess the simple answer is to make the English text small so it accommodates foreign languages, but I wondered if there was a way to do what I want above with code?

    Many thanks
    Neil

In reply to: On Sale products

    #102028

    Hey,
This can be a language thing but “sale” is refering to products that has a “sale” price. Meaning they are on promotion.

If you want to have a custom selection of products use the feature products then you can assign only the products you want to be featured.

I found out that the issue was caused by the latest version of Polylang. It is a shame that some kind of incompatibility happened between Polylang and Virtue. For now I had to disable the plug in with all the troubles that came with it. The site is a kind of ok now even though I lost all the links between pages having different languages. One remaining issue is that the blog page pull posts in English and Dutch even though I assigned a separate post category to the NL pages. Any help?

    #101060

OK. Let me get to the root of my problem.

    1. I have some posts written in Thai language and, in Latest Blog Posts at the end of Home, some Thai “Read More” text is too long.
    Recent Posts - Long Text

    2. In a Blog Grid page, if I use more tag and the text above the tag is not long enough, the “Read More” link will not be displayed.
Blog Grid - No Read More

So, what I really want is to make “Read More” text in Thai shorter with a “Read More” link in both Latest Blog Posts and Blog Grid pages.

I hope there is a way to fix this problem. Thanks.

P.S. Also, thanks for the image hosting service link. It is very useful.

    #100967

    Hi Hannah,
I have a problem with ‘Latest from the blog’ text.
It is written with lowercase, and the only way it can appear in capital letters is by changing it here: Theme Options > Home Layout under Home Blog Settings.
But if I change it there by adding for instance ‘LATEST FROM THE BLOG’ or any other text, it appears the same way on my spanish page. If I don’t write anything ‘Lo último del blog’ appears on the spanish page. I am not sure if its the language plugin I am using or what, but I would like to change the original text to appear in Capital letters. Also it would be great if it can be semi-bold, or if its settings can be changed to appear as h1 and not h3 (I don’t want to change settings for all h3 texts).
Another thing, there is too much blank space above the title ‘Latest from the blog’. I don’t know how to erase that. I want it to look the same as SECTIONS and DESTINATIONS titles. That’s why I need it to be semi-bold (or h1) and Capital letters.
Please help me solve this issue.

    Hey,
you can’t use latest version of pagebuilder and polylang they don’t work together. This has been reported to the authors. Until one of them fixes the issue you can use pagebuilder 2.0.7 or you would have to use a good language plugin like WPML.

So best to start there and move your pagebuilder version back.

    Hey,
    1. I’m not sure what you mean by symbol menu? Can you post a link? You talking about the icon menu on the home page?

    2. What string transition isn’t working or what are you trying. Please post a link.

    3. For a text editor it’s best to make two widgets one for each laguage then show only one based on the laguage. You can use a plugin like widget logic to show based on language.

Also note polylang support is going to be the best to ask for better understanding on how there plugin works.

    #100853

    Hey,
    1. In Theme Options > Language Settings you can set this text to whatever you like.
    2. You need to ensure you have set the post content to display as Summary. Otherwise it will show the entire post and no read more tag is necessary. You can set this from the blog edit page.

    Hope that helps!

add: how can I customize widgets (f.e. siteorigin editor) for different languages?

    #100699

Your po file doesn’t make any sense: http://starlmodels.com/wp-content/themes/pinnacle_premium/languages/nl.po

    That isn’t a translation file for a theme…

I think I was under the impression you knew more how all this worked.

I am now going to STRONGLY recommend you use loco translate. If for nothing else you can make the correct po and mo files then simply download them put them in the correct place and remove the plugin so you don’t have to use any extra plugins.

    Hi Ben,

I added the files now to the correct folder, but the search page is still in English.

You can check the link: http://starlmodels.com/wp-content/themes/pinnacle_premium/languages/nl.mo
