Hi Ben,

I have been trying to figure out how to change the text that says “Product Description” when someone goes to a product. I am trying to make it say something else but in a different language, but can’t seem to find the setting anywhere.

sorry I have to write again :(. I updated everything to the newest version, and saw that the [accordion]

vanished for non-default languages.

In addition, I don’t know if that is your tea, the Page Builder Visual Editor does not seem to work with the newest WPML.

If you compare

the headlines are gone, since I defined them in a visual editor widget. If I use a text widget all works

Are you using pagebuilder? Are you clearing your cache?

I suggest using https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-logic/

For widgets that way you can have to widgets set up and one is set for each language.

2. Try adding a fourth make it the same as the first then remove the first and put the forth in it’s place.

Else it’s important to note that you can do all the translations through the home page content by using the “virtue shortcodes” to add an icon menu item instead of through the theme options.

Hey !

The probleme come from the language code “en” in the url because if I change the setting of polylang and uncheck the option “Hide the language information in url for the default language” I’ll have an url like that : *Login to see link and it’ll give me the same error “Sorry, but the page you were trying to view does not exist.”.

Am i doing something wrong ?

If you look at the section “CUSTOM-BRANDED GOOGLE CARDBOARD”, you will see that it is different for the English version. Is this a bug? or how can I set it such as the german one?

Hi Ben

I’m having the following problems which I thought would be based on my memory_limit, max_input_time or similar setting. Having played around with these I still keep getting the same issues.

Issue 1: Error saving theme options

When saving my theme options I often get this error message. Sometimes if I try again it saves the options fine, other times it fails again and resets all theme options including custom css.

Issue 2: Failure saving pages using visual editor

If I try to edit more than one item on the page at a time it will give me the standard browser “this page cannot be displayed” page. If I hit the back button or navigate back to the page through the wordpress menu the whole page will have been converted to the standard editor. I then have to find the most recent revision, usually a couple of steps back form where I had just got two and restore this.

Here is a copy of my system status report, as it shows I have managed to successfully increase all the limits yet I’m still having the issue.

Hi Hannah,

I am sorry to open it this topic again, but I have installed another language on my site and now my primary menu does not work perfectly with this new language.

Normal situation : http://lenidaigle.com => there is a transparent space between my entries and the last one
Strange situation : http://lenidaigle.com/en/home => there is a space with a black background between my entries and the last one.

So I would like to change it in a transparent background but I did not success from your CSS code :/

Hi Ben,

I want to get the same look and feel for the language as Mayas site expect the hover over should be red. I’m stuck with the languages going on two different lines even though in WPML I set the orientation to horizontal and don’t know how to get the hover effect.

Your help would be really appreciated, thanks!

There is no difference in versions based on language.

Our situation
I`m building a website for a new brand here in the Netherlands. *Login to see link (not official yet.) One of the things we have on our old website, is that people can download free products. The only thing they have to do, is fill in there email address and when hit send, the product is send to there inbox (they automatically are subscribed then into a Mailchimp list.)

<em>What we want</em>:
What we want is something similar, so we get there email address, and they get a free product. it doesn`t matter if the product is a instant download after leaving a email address, or if the product is send to there inbox. We are using Woocommerce, but the built-in virtual downloads are not working for us, because they have to go true the checkout process. This is to complicated and to much to fill in for a free product.

I hope you got some ideas/suggestions for it, so we can expand our Mailchimp list.

I sincerely apologize but I can’t figure out how I change the language in my contact form.

I’ve made a search for “name” and translated the text that I thought could relate to the “Name:” that I’m looking for (This “Name:” and “Email:” and “Message:” in my contact form Contact form.

Do I miss doing something or?

Hey,
Yes name is part of the language strings once you translate it for the theme it will translate for the themes contact form.

Using loco will be easier just make sure you make copies of the language file as you go.

I’ve tried to change the text in the plugin which is easy. But it only looks like it changes the language in the Theme Option and not eg. the pre defined text when I eg uses the contact build in page. I would like to change the field header Name: to danish – Is this pligin the right tool for changing this text?

which is your category page.

a lot of times that can cause conflicts with permalink structure in wordpress so it’s worth looking at.

as for pagination translation I thought that was all done in your po file for wordpress. Are you loading wordpress with the language your using and all the language files?

Hey Anders,
You would use either the plugin or poedit and translate each string. 2% means only 2% of the theme is translated into danish. But you can translate more using the plugin.

Or work using poedit and editing the po files in the language folder of the theme.

But I have the same issue about how to change the language in my Virtue theme from english to danish, eg in my contact page “Name”, “Message” etc.

I’ve installede the Loco translate plugin but it says that on 2% is translated, how can I change the pre defined language strings?

When I set a widget virtue testimonial carousel to the row and I dont fill in the Title in it, a default test appears on the page, I have translation to polish language, but in english it would we “testimonials”. When I fill in my text in the widget title it is changed. So I want to find out where is that option in which .php file, so I can change it and add <hr /> tag below as I need that to be done 🙂

Might be a language thing but what do you mean by “map”?

As for the function. I had a typo.. should be: is_singular not is_sigular
