    Hi there guys,

Hope everybody is fine in this mested up times.

What is the best solution that is compatible with Ascend Theme and Virtue Theme, both premium, for multilanguage website. I would like to have some clients websites in 2, 3 or 4 languages, with the topbar selection with flags menu, etc. I want to know you recomandation, because i am sure you have the best advice.

Do you have a tutorial on this kind of implementation?

Alos, what can i do to translate all the stuff in the cart / chekout / and log in pages. Some terms are not translated by wordpress.

    Thank you

Dear Kadence-team, our new website just went live using the amazing Pinnacle theme (we come from Virtue). Now we also have a new logo with a text in the image. Basically we use Wfglot and we would like to use a different logo for the English language (and later other languages as well).

How can we do that? I’ve looked in the forum, but couldn’t find a solution yet.

    Thanks in advance!

p.s. It is only the logo in the header itself, the shrink header has a more universal logo.

    Hey,
I believe you have to “translate” change which reusable block you call into the page, for example instead of calling one reusable block that is translated you would have two reusable blocks, one in each language and then you would change which one is called into the page based on the language of the page.

But it’s best for you to check-in with WPML on this. Perhaps I’m wrong and there is a way to do what you want, however it wouldn’t be something we control. Kadence has been tested and approved by WPML for compatibility and we don’t handle how the translations take effect that’s all done from the WPML side.

    I hope that helps!

    Hello team,

Do you plan on adding right-to-left support?

I use Kadence theme on a blog with a lot of content in RTL languages: Arabic, Persian, and Hebrew. Usually it’s mixed content (e.g. useful phrases).

Right now, here’s what happens. In the editor, if I paste in something, it’s pasted in backwards. But publishes correctly. If I type it in, it displays correctly, and publishes correctly; on next reload of the poast in the editor, it’s backward in the editor but published correctly.

Your Ascend theme (which we used for nearly 2 years) had RTL support so I suppose this probably planned and so I’ll ask – roughly when?

    Thanks!

    Hi Dave,
Sorry for the delay! You’re right, you don’t need the plugin. I just wanted to add some language for how retina works. I hope it brought some clarity. Do you have further questions on this?

Hi, just finished building my first multilingual site in Kadence Theme
I have 2 small issues translating using WPML. I don’t know if it’s a WP / Kadence or WPML issue but I take the risk of posting it here anyway 😉

Issue 1: I had saved a Kadence button block as a reusable block and translated this in WPML (as found on the WPML docs). Unfortunately, the translation is not showing up on the translated pages. The button texts remain in the original language.
As this block is only used on 3 pages I converted them into regular blocks and could translate them on each page.

Issue 2: I use a Kadence overlay image block. On the translated page the link is gone. Everything else is OK. In the translation editor I do not even see the hyperlink in the source. For the moment I’ve put the link on the title element in the translation, but it would be nicer if the whole image would be clickable just as in the original language.

    Any idea?
Or are there other translation plugins which work better with Kadence theme & blocks?

Sorry, I have no link 🙂
I am talking about the Kadence theme Pro elements addon. If I ceate an element then it has an option to show based on devices and users. What I am saying is that it would be great to have an option to show the ekement based on the language.
For example, WPML add this option for the widgets. See the screenshot.

    Hi,
It would be great if there would be an option to choose a condition form elements language. For example: show only in English. Another element can have an option “Show only in French”.

What do you think? Does this make sense? Or is it wise to just translate elements?

    Best regards,
    J.

    Thanks for responding Hannah.

No I’m not sure where to look.

The three words are translated correctly in the four other languages, so I am assuming that if I can find the folder of file in which these translations are managed, I will be able to add the translations for the other two languages?

Or is there a place to find string translations in the website dashboard?

We are setting up a multi-lingual website on our development site at with a Virtue Premium theme using qTranslate, and all the English language content is translating correctly throughout the site (including for all plugin-generated content) in all languages, except in the cases of the Chinese (zh) and Korean (kr) languages, there are no translations appearing for the “Name”, “Email” and “Message” field headings on the contact page (which uses the Virtue Premium theme template).

It would be appreciated if you could advise how we might be able to remedy this.

    Thank you.

    Hi!
    1. You should be able to translate these in your string translations. Let me know if you need help with that.

    2. You will need to create a separate slider for each of your languages. In your homepage slider settings use the shortcode option instead of selecting a specific slider. There you can then add your shortcode into the input for the main language slider. Next, in your string translations you can “translate” that shortcode to your alternate language to use the other slider shortcode.

    Hope that helps!

    Hello,

the string of the link “Your Cart” and its description “View your shopping cart” is not translated according to our site language.
You can see it on our site

    [EDIT]
…remembered that I had asked this question once before at

    Thanks, I appreciate that!

    Some counterpoints:
Content is visible by default so setting something to “show” can also feel strange and could have people needlessly turning these settings on thinking they want to show to users.

With your setup, there isn’t a way to show content to logged out and certain logged-in users together. For example, If you have a membership and you have a free level of subscriber and a pro level. Lets say you want to show a notice to by the pro leve for all free level users and all logged out users. Showing “only to” logged out users would prevent any logged in users (regardless of their role) from seeing it. I understand that code-wise I can make both apply but the language would be confusing to a user.

I’ll have to keep thinking about this and getting feedback from others as well. Perhaps a totally different approach is better with one dropdown select box and defines the base loggic of “show” or “hide” and then working from there.

    Hello Ben/Hannah,

Congrats in the launch of the beta Pro version.

I am testing adding an opt-inform design by Brizy as an Element.

But I noticed that the styling opting is not kept in the live posts.

The attached image explains how the element should look like:

and you can check the live version here:

    Can you check that?

    Hey,
It appears you are using the simple mobile header (turned in your theme options). That doesn’t have a topbar so there wouldn’t be a place to show.

My personal opinion is that you put the language switch in the footer and in the drop down and not give it huge space on mobile. Those plugins usually do a fine job picking up which language to show based on the ip info of the reader.

However, if you want a topbar on mobile you would just have to turn off the simple mobile header.

    Hey,
There are row adjustment settings for things like min-height and background. the height of the row is defined by the content within it. Can you send me a link to this site? I’m guessing the language switched has some padding of its own.
