In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Image + Summary on Frontpage/Blog Page
October 3, 2013 at 8:56 pm #743Did you set a featured image for these posts?
Looking at the code it’s showing as if there wasn’t a featured image. Let me knowBen
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi
I am having a bit of a problem trying to find a way to have my existing posts with an image + summary on the frontpage and on the blog page. At the moment only the summary shows.
I have created a separate site to test this theme before I switch off the one in place at the moment. I have imported all the content from my main site.
I have to say that on most posts I have only one image.
Am I missing any step?
My test site is @ *Login to see link
and the main site, with the theme about to be switched off as soon as I master Virtue Premiumm is @ http://www.jpires.org.This issue might have an obvious solution but I am really stuck.
Kind regards,
JoseIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Contact, Map and Staff in The Same page.
October 3, 2013 at 3:40 pm #737Hey,
I’ll think about making this possible. I think it’s a useful feature and I can see others wanting it as well.I’ll put it on my list of feature adds.

In forum: Virtue ThemeOctober 3, 2013 at 2:02 pm #734Dear Ben,
I’m trying to create a single page that contains all possible information about my company.
Is there any way to put the contact form, map and staff members on the same page? As a shortcode for example?
I solved provisionally copying the html of a published staff post and pasting in a contact post.
Tanks again, and sorry for the broken an english.
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Support for https
October 3, 2013 at 1:13 pm #733Dear Ben,
I am facing a small problem working with “https://”.
There are several parts of the theme where the calls are made with “http://”.
Reflecting on several pages, my ssl seal informs that content “unsafe” is displayed, and in the contact page, the map simply does not appear.
I even managed to settle in some parts with child theme, but there are others, such as calls to the google fonts, I have not found how to solve.
Can you please evaluate the possibility to adjust this in a future update?
Thanks and sorry for bad english.

October 3, 2013 at 9:39 am #732Hey Steve,
If I’m understanding the answer is not really. The css is responsive based on screen size. Are you wanting to take away the largest screen size?

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Icons are missing?
Hi Ben:
I was able install new version but I am still having trouble with displaying right icons for two reasons.
1. Home page icons selected in theme options are pulling different icons, i.e. icon-file-upload displays icon-car or icon-calendar displays icon-file.
2. In a shortcode toolbar many icons are showing names but not an image.Thank you for your help

October 1, 2013 at 9:16 am #703Hey James,
I’m updating the theme today with a fix. So make sure you get version 1.5.2 (should be available in 15 min from this post). The update also gives you options for a sidebar on the home page 🙂
For now to make the link work just add ” to the end of it.
So like http://www.example.com”
And the link will automatically open in a new tab.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Primary menu – mobile not showing
September 30, 2013 at 8:55 am #690Hey Herbert,
I’m sorry for the confusion. The primary menu is actually supposed to disappear on smaller screens, replaced by the mobile menu. Which is an available menu in your menus page. You can simply set the same menu that is set to primary as your mobile and it will work.Again sorry for the confusion. Working on getting the documentation up to speed this week.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Can you include a link? It sounds like you don’t have your page correctly set up. If you email me your login information I can take a look.Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Product Page Title Element
Hi Ben,
I am having difficulty locating the spot to update the page title for my Product page… Currently it is set to, ‘Product Archive’… When I update the page title on the actual page however the changes are not reflected when viewing the website in a browser.
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Mobile Version of Website
When I access my website via a smartphone (iphone 5s), it redirects to mobile.DOMAIN.com and the contents are a bit strange.
There is a picture of what looks like a diamond ring on the menu selector. The top of the page says, ‘My Website’ is there anyway to customize this?
Is there anyway to send visitors using mobile devices to the desktop site? Isn’t this template responsive design and not a separate subdomain (e.g. mobile.DOMAIN.com)?
Thanks

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Full Width and Boxed Options
September 27, 2013 at 9:37 am #657Hey,
Step one: Create a page, call it home or whatever.
Step two: edit that page, add whatever content you want in it.
Step three: Go to setting>reading and set your “font page displays” to “a static page” and in the front page box select your new page.
Step four: Go to your theme options and in the home page layout manager move “page content” to enabled.Hope that helps
