The problem remains even with the latest version of the plugin Kadence Blocks – PRO Extension 2.7.11, Kadence Blocks – Gutenberg Blocks for Page Builder Features 3.5.11.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in.

Based on your screenshots, it looks like there’s a padding/margin applied to the container that houses the Countdown block.

Can you please try removing the paddings/margins for mobile in the Row Layout or Section?

If the problem persists, I’d be happy to check the frontend if you can provide the link to your page.

    Kind regards,
    Chito

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in.

Did you export and import data using WordPress importer?

The issue is that some of your posts can’t save metadata at all for some reason. Usually, it’s related to using the core WordPress importer and importing old content. Sometimes it can be related to a plugin or custom code added.

Can you please try the following:
    * temporarily deactivate all the plugins except the Kadence ones
    * resave permalinks by clicking the “Save Changes” button in Settings > Permalinks without making any changes
    * temporarily remove your custom codes
    * try copying the content of the post/page and paste it into a newly created post that doesn’t have corrupted metadata

Let me know how it goes.

    Best,
    Chito

    Hi Jean-Marie,

For me, the problem was my antivirus/firewall program (Kaspersky in my case). Tried all the memory tweaks and reinstalling diff versions of the plugin as well as changing PHP versions…worked at first but then slowed down or just a white screen a day later. Even though WP is all Internet based, started to think the problem had to be something local to my PC.

As soon as I whitelisted my WP-ADMIN page in my firewall, Kadence Blocks worked like a charm. Haven’t had a problem since.

So try disabling your firewall temporarily to see if it is still slow. The others in this thread had issues with GoDaddy so I am not sure what the cause/solution to that was?

    Good luck!

I started using Kadence yesterday (3.5.11 is latest as of 2025-06-22) and it worked for like an hour. Then I started getting the same page hang issue described above. I’ve trying re-installing Kadence, the plug-ins, etc… Nothing fixes it. I tried adding define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M'); in my wp-config.php and it doesn’t seem to help. I was kinda linking the Kadence blocks feature. So I’m reluctant to stop trying. I’m also using a WordPress install from cPanel’s Installatron.

    Hey Mark,

Welcome to Kadence Support. We are here to help.

The Ascend theme follows standard Web Development and WordPress standards. All of our themes and products follow this standard. This means, for each page, only the necessary code is pulled in. This ensures our products are optimal for performance.

However, it is important to note that on top of proper practices, additional optimization is usually needed for high performance websites. This comes in the form of Caching/Optimization plugins, such as SolidPerformance or LiteSpeed Cache. These plugins do additional tasks that help load pages efficiently. (There are many optimization plugins available. You can click here to view some popular options.)

Google offers the Page Speed Insights tool, which is a great tool for measuring performance. This tool tests your page speed and goes over warnings/issues that occur on the page load. These warnings can often be fixed using a Caching/Optimization plugin.

Each website is unique, so the specific plugin configuration will depend on your website. If you run into any broken styles or functionalities when using a cache plugin, you should refer to this document to help identify and resolve it.

Additionally, I suggest reviewing this article we released related to image optimization. Properly formatting your images can also help drastically increase the page performance.

    I hope this was helpful!

    Hi there,

    Can you try the following?

    – Re-install your current WordPress version – https://share.getcloudapp.com/o0u9QP0K.
    – Note: please make sure you have a website backup before doing this.
    – Try to install the Classic Editor plugin and update a page: https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/
    – Then, deactivate the plugin and try to update the page again. If the same error shows, look at your browser console log and send us a screenshot if you see errors(their texts are in the color red): https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-theme/how-to-view-console-log-errors/
    – Could you check your wp-config.php file and see if WP_DEBUG is set to true? This has the potential to cause all kinds of issues as errors are printed during REST API calls. I suggest turning that off (should always be off on a production site): https://www.kadencewp.com/help-center/docs/kadence-theme/how-to-enable-the-wordpress-error-logs/
    – Then, test again if updating pages will still show the issue.

Let us know if we can assist you further.

    Kind Regards,
    Michael Taro

HI, I saw you have a lovely, functional author page. What did you do to get it to work this way (and are you still using Kadence)?

    #294077

    Hi Thomas!

Glad you reached out to us.

Seems like you’re expecting the submenu items to become “children” of their parent menu item. Please note – that is not an expected behavior.

WordPress has its function for setting the parent pages, but that is not automatically done on menus.

Should you want the submenu page URLs to have the parent page slug/URL, you will need to set the page as their parent. You can refer to this post to guide you on how to add parent pages: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/page-attributes/

I hope this helps and let me know if I can assist you further.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in.

Kadence Dynamic Content is a feature included in the Kadence Blocks Pro plugin. I noticed the plugin is active on your site, but you’re currently using an outdated version (2.4.1), which was released back on July 9, 2024.

Could you please update it to the latest version, 2.7.10, and check if the issue persists?

If you don’t see an option to update the plugin from your dashboard, please check whether your license key is still active.

If the license is active but the update option still doesn’t appear, you may want to reach out to your hosting provider to ensure there are no restrictions blocking the update check.

You can download the updated version on your account page:
    https://www.kadencewp.com/my-account/downloads/

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

    Chito

    Hi Kadence Community,

I’m currently building and optimizing a site using the Kadence Theme + Kadence Blocks, and I’m really impressed with how flexible and lightweight it is. That said, I’m still seeing some performance issues on mobile, and PageSpeed scores could be better — especially since I’m aiming for fast user experience.

    The site in question is:
It offers free online calculation tools, so speed and clarity are very important for usability.

    My setup:
    – Kadence Theme (latest) + Kadence Blocks Pro
    – Hosting on LiteSpeed (with LiteSpeed Cache plugin)
    – Using Autoptimize and basic image compression
    – No heavy plugins, but several blocks with dynamic content

    Questions:
    – What are your best Kadence-specific optimization tips?
    – Any blocks, scripts, or animations I should avoid or replace?
    – How do you manage Google Fonts, preload settings, and image delivery in Kadence?
    – Are there known plugin combinations or settings that improve loading time without hurting the design?

I’d really appreciate insights or examples from others who’ve optimized Kadence-powered sites. Thanks in advance for your help!

    Best,
    Rao Henry

I did it, from this I know that cadence is clearly slowing down the loading, editing, and saving of pages in the admin.
    Any other ideas, help?

Hi Kadence team and fellow Ascend users,

I’ve been working with the Ascend Theme for a few local business websites, and I’m impressed with the layout flexibility and overall responsiveness. That said, I’m looking for insights on how to optimize Ascend for faster performance, especially for:

Pages with custom portfolios or service listings

Integration with contact forms and booking systems

Lightweight but effective homepage sliders or hero images

Are there specific customizer settings, plugin combinations, or CSS/JS tweaks that you’d recommend to improve loading speed without sacrificing design?

One of the projects I’m building is for a website development client in Tallahassee, and they need a balance between a polished look and lean performance. If helpful, I’ve also been referring clients to development partners like IKONIC USA — they specialize in custom solutions like website development in Tallahassee, but I’m handling more of the front-end setup myself.

Appreciate any real-world tips or example projects using Ascend that I can learn from!

    Thanks,

    Hi @kyd,

Glad you’re trying out Kadence! If disabling the page title isn’t working through the page settings:

-> Make sure you’re using the Kadence Page Settings (usually in the right sidebar of the editor).
-> Sometimes the title is part of the template—try switching to the “Blank” or “Landing” template under Page Attributes.
-> Also double-check if a page builder or block (like a Heading block) is manually showing a title.

Clearing the cache was a good step—also try refreshing with Ctrl+Shift+R just in case. Let us know if it’s still stuck!

    Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately that’s what I thought, the breadcrumbs was part of the title…
You suggest an alternative to display the breadcrumbs : the shortcode [kadence_breadcrumbs]
I don’t use Gutenberg but Elementor, but it doesn’t matter, I have a Shortcode widget (thanks to the installation of the Shortcode for Elementor plugin?).
    I tried putting :
    – in a shortcode widget => in preview I see [kadence_breadcrumbs] but it disappears on display…
    – in a text widget => in preview I see [kadence_breadcrumbs] but it disappears on display…
You’re telling me to put the shortcode, in Kadence Text (Adv) and use the DIV heading tag, I’m sory, I don’t understand what you mean…
    – Is Text (Adv) an ordinary text widget or special widget?
    – DIV heading tag => I don’t know what that is…
All my pages are structured the same way: a container full-width with a background image andmy title in the center.
My breadcrumbs will be placed just below.
    I’m sorry, I think I’ve missed something…

You suggest I use Hooked Elements so that the shortcode applies to all pages, but I don’t have Kadence Theme Kit Pro…

My site is no longer under maintenance, you can see my tests here https://speelsbury.com/quienes-somos/

Thank you very much and have a very nice day
