You have a woocommerce carousel in your home page layout. So by deactivating woocommerce that module can’t load, causing the page to stop loading and thus all the js errors like the slider not loading.
Just go into the theme options > home layout and make sure the product carousels are enabled on you home page.

Hi there,

I’ve just noticed that when I deactivate Woocommerce on my site, it breaks the layout of the homepage.

The effected areas seem to be:

The slideshow, (Kadence Slider) – it just hangs on the loading icons.

Testimonials Slider Widget – Each testimonial is stacked one on top of the next.

The Footer – This had 4 columns, each with a widget in but the whole area has disappeared.

When I reactivate Woocommerce, the correct layout is restored.

The theme and all plugins are up to date.

Do you have any ideas about what’s causing this and how to fix it please?

I’ve checked a couple of our websites and the same issue occurs on both when deactivating Woocommerce.

Everything was fine yesterday. Today I go to my website and get this error message:

That’s with Safari and with Chrome. Fortunately (so far) I don’t get that message with Firefox. Gee, I don’t know where to start –?

Hey Evan,
Sorry, this tutorial was made before the newest version of page builder so the options are different. Will fix today!
In the Attributes tab under Row Class type “wide-grey”.

In Theme Options > Shop Settings turn on Product Image Flip. Then in your products edit page make sure you’ve added product gallery images.

Hi Gregory,
Have you added the correct attributes in Products > Attributes? If so, you can go to product edit page and set the Product Data to Variable product. Then open the Attributes tab and add your attributes.

This will likely be an embarrassingly ill informed set of questions, but … here goes.

I’m just purchased the Pinnacle Premium theme, downloaded the zip from my account page, uploaded to my WP install, and activated. Following the “Creating a Store Demo Style Page with Pinnacle” tutorial, I have problems very near the beginning. Specifically, set the row visual class Wide Grey.

I do not have a GUI menu option for “Row Visual Style.” What I do have is “Attributes,” “Layout,” and “Design.” Under “Attributes” there are three empty fields, one of which with the title “Row Class,” but I have no idea about what information I need to enter to achieve the same effects as the tutorial.

Did I miss something in setup to have different options than the tutorial? More importantly, what do I need to do to get this resolved so that I can continue with the tutorial?

Ok so the theme carousel doesn’t have url page navigation to specific slides. You can see in this link above:

each have a different url. The theme carousel doesn’t work that way. You would need to use a plugin or carousel that did allow for that type of navigation.

The built in lightbox already does this but I don’t know of a plugin that would do this in a page.

For some reason on my attachment page template (http://capa.furniture/?attachment_id=1494) I am getting the url of the reduced size image. I do not know why. I am not getting the thumbnail full size but a smaller size as you can see here -> http://cl.ly/image/3E1x1q3m070u

How can I make it so that the attachment page shows the full image link in the html so the quality is better?

wp-super-cache is running on your page, I can see the notice in the code. If you disabled the plugin it doesn’t mean it stops working, You have to activate, go to the plugin settings. disabled it there. Then you can deactivate the plugin.

The icon is still there and there is no demarcation line between entries. I assume that’s because the css code you gave me was for the sidebar? I would like the icon gone and divider lines here too…

Also as long as you are being wonderfully responsive and helpful, there seems to be a blank slider item on the bottom of my home page that is creating white space. I just want it gone and can’t seem to delete it…

Yeah, that file is duplicated into my child theme under the same folder templates. I just loaded the page and now I saw a change that I made. How do I ensure that all cache or temporary files are eradicated before I proceed making changes so that I can see an up to date version in my browser? I have noticed that css changes are noticed immediately but php changes take some time (angry face). I do not have wp-super-cache enabled. I hate that thing while making changes.

Sorry for the silly questions. But I do my best to make sure all my new clients buy the license to virtue premium theme every time. Right now I bought 3 licenses so I hope that helps 🙂

Hey, are you overriding the page-portfolio.php file in your child theme? If you are you need to update it to match the latest version.

In the latest version theres is an option to allow excerpts on the home page.
