Hello,

I use the Site Origin Page Builder to build my website, and I wanted to work with Yoast SEO plugin.
But as I installed and activated it, my Page Builder menu in my Pages Editor disappeared, so I can only use the Text or Visual Editor (that I don’t like at all).

Is there any known conflict ? Maybe with other extensions ?

Polylang should let you have two different pagebuilder setups for each language just like WPML. The home page should be like any other where you have copies of the same page for each language and you can edit for each language?

Widget on a page plugins works, it’s not been updated but in part thats because it doesn’t need to be.
Page builder is the obvious but if you don’t want to use then widget on a page will work great for you.

Topic: Revolution Slider appears not centered in Firefox

Hi team!

I noticed that the revolution slider on my homepage (www.designedtolife.com) is not centered when viewed in firefox (works fine in chrome). The gallery that is displayed is shifted left and only 20% of a picture is shown by the slider. If you resize the window manually though the slider jumps back into its proper location, but only on load is it thrown off the page margins.

Not sure if this is a Virtue Theme issue or an issue with the Revolution Slider…

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you as always in advance!

Hey,
I’ll add some input. Steve sorry for the delay. I don’t think you need a child theme unless you intend on editing theme files.

Your issue with widgets has to do with how wordpress saves menu and widget assignment data. doesn’t have anything to do with theme files or folder structure on your site. It’s just about the theme name. WordPress creates a theme name specific database entry where the assignments of what widgets should go into what sidebars are saved. When you switch themes. Go from free to premium or even premium to child you now have a new database for those assignments. The widgets or menus you created are not lost by any means they are just not in the correct widget areas do to the change in database.

In the end you have to re-assign your widgets and menus when you switch themes. Just go to your widgets page and move all the inactive widgets into the correct sidebar widget areas.

Hey,
so when you add to a page you can use the feature page template. Then add the slider shortcode in the page options that will place the slider above your title and it will be full width.

If you want to place a fullwidth slider in a page content area then you need to use pagebuilder and set up a row that is fullwidth stretched.

I think I figured it out. I have to go to the page, and use inline css, and then go to the editor for standard css. Is this correct?

I’m having the four following problems on mobile/tablet:

– Not showing full-width for tablet/mobile screens (cuts off on the right hand side)
– Kadence slider image on homepage not resizing for mobile; disappears completely on tablet
– Call-to-action background image on homepage not showing on either mobile or tablet

Are you able to tell me what I’m doing wrong, please?

Hi,

For example, this page : http://www.samtim.fr/portfolio/2010s/

I’d like to frequently update the gallery.
So what I do is :
– modifiying the page
– editing the gallery
– uploading photos to add to my gallery

And here is the point.
When I upload these photos, they go on the bottom.

If I want to put them on top I have to click and drag the photos.
If I ‘reverse order’, the new adds go on top but it also reverses the previous images order.
If I have one or two photos it’s not a problem, but if I upload 30 photos it could take more time.

Is it possible, when you upload photos to add to an existing gallery, to put them on top automatically ?

I am using Polylang on our site and I have used the pagebuilder on the homepage, but everything that I edit in the homepage ends up on the German home page and vice versa. My question is should I create a separate home page for the German page which isn’t linked to the English page or is there a work around?

Thank guys, correcting my misunderstanding of how the page title worked was very helpful – because I’d been unable to install the slider plugins (no rectified), I was under the mistaken impression that using the ‘page title image’ function was the only way to get an image into the header.

Everything has been going great and then today when I tried to edit my pages in the page builder, I encountered a message that said:

“The page you are trying to access is restricted due to a security rule.

If you believe the security rule is affecting the normal operation of your website, contact your host support team and provide detailed instructions how to recreate this error.
They will be able to assist you with rectifying the problem and adjusting the security configuration if needed.”

What should I do?

Tiny MCE, I mean. Maybe PageBuilder. All that capability, just to open a door. I chose not to use Pagebuilder in the past because I’m happier with my own CSS. Gotta see if Pagebuilder and JQuery Vertical scroller are compatible…

Generically speaking, can you put a widget on a page? I have a vertical scroll widget I’d like to put on a page, but (WP klutz here) I can’t find the doorway to get a widget onto a page. Am I barking up the wrong tree? i.e., there won’t be a doorway, first you gotta have a widget for putting a widget on a page? Searching WP Support I see Widget-on-a-page plugin, but it’s out of date. I don’t use Tiny Box and Page Builder — would those be a way forward?

I am just setting up a site with Virtue Theme but the problem I have is that overtime I make a change and save and then make another change and save then the previous option reverts back.

As an example – In the Home Layout – I disable everything apart from Featured products and the ‘Save Changes’ – I confirm these have worked by visiting site. I then go to Misc settings to switch on Limit Max Page and save changes. If I go back to Home Layout now it shows I have Page Title and Page Content enabled and nothing else. If I then change Home Layout to what I want (Just Featured Products enabled) then I find it has switched off the Limit Max Page I set earlier!!!

Topic: Full Width Slider on each page

Hi,
I love the theme. I checked the forum for a solution before posting this, but couldn’t find my answer.
I am trying to display a full width slider (really only one image) to the other pages within my site. For example, in the Virtue Premium demo Style 3…when you click on “Gear Packs”, you see the full width slider.
I created a Kadence slider and have set it to full width, but when I place it on my About page, it does not show full width.
I’m sure it’s something I’m overlooking, but I can’t figure it out.

Any help would be most appreciated.
