February 6, 2015 at 8:29 pm #30142“Then the images filled the entire page.” – That is my point from before. It’s why I don’t understand what you want, how is an image supposed to fill the width of the page and show the whole image at the ratio of your images? What would you like to edit? You can crop the images to be say 2000px by 500px but that still means you will lose a lot of your image?
When I checked out your site I don’t see a page set as the static home page? Your page called home is here: http://virtue.neip.com/?page_id=4
But it’s not set as the front page? The login you sent me doesn’t allow me to set the static page.So lets start with step 1. Can you set this page: http://virtue.neip.com/?page_id=4 as your static front page and make it public?
That should get us closer.
As for your video I just added one to your page called home so you can see.

I did that. Then the images filled the entire page. I have the slider set to auto responsive now. I will try switching it back, but I don’t think it will help. Is there a way to edit the slides themselves in the edit slides section to make them fit? I did watch all the tutorials, and I didn’t find them all that helpful for things like this. And yes, I have it set as a static page. I am not new to WordPress, just to Virtue. the link to the web site is virtue.neip.com

Home page, I’m assuming you’ve seen this: https://www.kadencewp.com/creating-a-home-page-with-virtue/
So have you set your home page as a static page in the settings > reading? And in your theme options > home layout you’ve put “page content” into the enable box?
Next you can go to your page and add the shortcode.
2.
When you set up the slider you made it responsive right? Which means it will fill the width of the screen. So screen size varies a lot but lets pretend your viewing on a 1800px desktop screen. That means your image is 1800px wide. Now if you set a height for your slider like 400, then your current image size is 1800×400. Which is really wide and not very tall.
It it’s important that your images maintain all ratios try this. Go into the revolution slider settings. click unlimited height. Then it will show all of your images.

I am trying to add a You tube video to the center of my hme page under the slider and in between a text box and an image box. I added the short code but it won’t show up.I am also still having issues with the Revolution slider not showing the images in full. They are either cut off at the top, or at the bottom. I was told that the slider was for background images only, so what size do they have to be in order to work?
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: Remove Product sorting menu
Hello again! This should be quick and simple. In my entire shop (not just the shop page), i don’t want to have the product sorting drop menu. I simply don’t, and won’t, have enough products for this menu to make sense. Thanks guys.
Only one example where it shows up but it is on every page that displays any products:

February 6, 2015 at 5:36 pm #30127You seem to keep emailing me, but your email is not receiving messages right now so I will post here and again ask you to use the forms.
You can do what you want with the single portfolio images on the single portfolio pages with css, like this:
.single-portfolio .portfolio-single-img img { max-height: 300px; }Ben

In forum: Virtue ThemeBen, a couple things … ianwhiteheadphotography.com
1) all of a sudden, when I click on an item in my portfolio grid I am redirected to a web browse search~ I haven’t made any changes to those settings … seems to be global …
2) any way to get more options on the lightbox such as a “matt border and frame” around it? I noticed a plugin lightbox plus, but not sure that can be integrated by me, with the way you have the theme set up … would be a great feature …
3) are all the options at bottom of portfolio pages (title, text) SEO’d ????

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Header/menu questions
February 6, 2015 at 1:32 pm #300891. It’s supposed to be, the header is supposed to be in the shrunk mode when your using the slider above the header.
You can add your spacing just for the home page though:
.home #nav-main ul.sf-menu { margin-top: 20px; }In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: Facebook Pixel

1. I removed the css but now the menu is higher on the homepage than on the other pages…
2. It worked!

February 6, 2015 at 10:49 am #30065Hi Ben!
Thanks for your prompt response
Please find below a link to the mentioned page:
http://jjrobots.com/shop/
There, I would like to:– Made the “ADD TO CART” font thinner (not bold)
– reduce the distance among lines (line height? in the widget on the lateral “SHOP: POPULAR PRODUCTS”
– Reduce the distance from the PRODUCT NAME to its price box, placed just below
– In the same page: All the products images seem to be… cropped to a squere shape. But the original product image is not like this. I have tried to modify the displayed image properties with no luck. Any comment?Thank u Ben!

February 6, 2015 at 10:38 am #30061Hey lisa,
If you’ve turned off the sidebar in your page settings then you just need to go to the settings > reading. Make sure you have not selected a page to be the “post page” that should be left blank.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Add to CART font size
February 6, 2015 at 10:24 am #30056You can change the font size with:
.product .entry-summary .kad_add_to_cart { font-size: 40px; }Can you post a link so I know what you mean by bold option?
product thumbnails? do you mean in the single product page? The gallery thumbnails? You can change that size in the woocommerce settings > products.

February 6, 2015 at 10:09 am #30050Hi,
For the icon menu use the icon menu shortcodes. Then it will look exactly like the home page icon menu.Click “virtue shortcodes” in the visual editor widget.
