No there isn’t a shortcode for the widget. You can add the widget to a page using pagebuilder or a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/widgets-on-pages/

Is there and way to set the type to kad_blog so I can get the feature image to have a carousel?

I like the fact that this gives me a carousel on the image at the summary page with
[kad_blog items=”4″ orderby=”date” cat=”north-valley-chapter”]

and I like this for the horizontal layout
[carousel type=”post” columns=”2″ items=”2″ cat=”north-valley-chapter”]

Any way to get both?

ok, I get it, The shortcode is not set up to have columns. It’s supposed to be like the blog page: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/blog/

The shortcode with columns two columns isn’t set up to have the flex slider.

So with one you want you need a third option, on that uses columns but also uses the slider.

Try this:

[carousel type="post" columns="2" items="2" cat="north-valley-chapter"]

I want each post to float left….. which I think they do but they are each too wide. I can put them in a column with

I’m trying to replace a photo on our staff page, but every time I do, it bumps the copy below the small photo (150px), when I want it to the right. Wasn’t doing this before but now is. Thoughts?

If your using shareaholic and pagebuilder you have to add the share buttons as a shortcode in the pagebuilder. Because of how pagebuilder works and how shareaholic works you can’t get the auto input.

I use shareaholic to share pages on social media for the bottom of my posts, pages and portfolio. When using page builder, the shareaholic buttons go missing. Is there a way of sorting this? Or although id prefer not to change the share plugin, is there another share plugin i should be using alongside page builder? Thank you Angie

It’s part of wordpress, the theme just gives it some more options which is why you don’t see it in the docs.

click “add media” button in the top left. Choose create gallery. Then select your images. Add the gallery to the page or post.

Click the text tab you’ll see something like [gallery ids="12,13,14,15"]

Just add type="carousel" to that.

The gallery shortcode sounds like a winner, but having trouble finding it in the documentation, I do not see it here…

As far as the widget goes, cant use page builder because it is not compatible with Time.ly plugin.

Ok, hold up, I’m looking closer at your shortcode. That shortcode isn’t set up for a slider, that is a shortcode that does the same thing as the “latest posts” module for the home page. it shows in two columns and only pulls the featured image.
You can use the following shortcode which will show your posts like they appear on the blog page and it will use the slider.

[kad_blog items="4" orderby="date" cat="mycat"]

If you want to have just images in a carousel you can use the virtue gallery widget or the gallery shortcode and add type="carousel"

No you can’t move the slider to the bottom of the page.

Which is causing all your issues. For example the forced height of 30px. You would need to remove that or make it target just pages with more specific css.

^ Those are part of the language po files. You would have to translate the po files. It’s not the same as the default string translation area.
