You can have the option for a lightbox like here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/portfolio/

Where the lightbox is in the corner. But you can’t remove the link to the single portfolio post page.

Another option would be to have more then one gallery on a page and you just have each gallery be a category.

I hesitate to ask here… since it’s possibly a Revolution Slider issue. But maybe you know anyhow or can direct me on how to contact Revolution Slider.

The bottom line: I want Open Sans in my slides, and it keeps falling back to Lato

Steps I took:

1. Opened Punch Fonts interface
2. Added new, with the handle “opensans” (Theme Punch adds a tp- prefix so that it is internally actually tp-opensans) and the parameter Open+Sans:400,600,700,800
3. In the Revolution Slider, edited an existing font style that I liked except for its font-family choice
4. Opened the Advanced view of the styles
5. Changed font-family to “Open Sans”

Open Sans is still not being used. Yet, if I use dev tools to select a dom node (any arbitrary node) and set its font-family attribute to “Open Sans”, it indeed works… the font is on the page in general, but not being used by the slider.

This anything I can resolve here, or should I bug Theme Punch?

I understand and so i did. I was hoping to have all the thumbs of all fotos on the grid page not just 1 featured image of each category.

Another approach: i don’t mind inputting image by image as portfolio items. In this scenario the portfolio grid page looks great and is organized/filtered. Problem is that when clicking on a thumbnail it goes to the page of the portfolio item. Can we somehow make it show like a gallery item and continue viewing the pictures in that category?

Hey,
If you have the link set to “lightbox” Then the widget won’t use the “image link” option because your not linking the image to another page but a lightbox.

For want you want just use the visual editor widget. Add your image there.

Well my point is that you wouldn’t see all of the gallery. You would see one image for that category, then if clicked on the gallery would show.

You don’t add the gallery in the portfolio settings. Select the three row layout and add your gallery in the content like you would on any other page. Leave the portfolio options off.

I think the ‘image link (optional)’ field in virtue:image widget does not work. Because clicking in the small image will always open the same small image, not the image in that field.
Virtue:gallery and Visual Editor widgets also do the same, they show the same image, not the imag eI set in the iamge link field.

Hey Ben,
you are saying to insert a gallery in the portfolio item, but then on the Portfolio grid page i can’t see the pictures in the gallery, only the featured image that is set to the portfolio item, or is there a way arround it ? Made some example here: http://o-zen.de/portfolio/

I also didn’t find what “Image List” and “Image List style 2” in the Project Options of the Portfolio does.

Thanks for getting back to me — so… oddly enough, it looks like that hack got rid of one of the lightboxes, but there still seems to be another lightbox that opens up now. (I know that this sounds really weird — feel free to refer back to the above link and try it for yourself. I changed the page layout a bit, but you’ll find the gallery just below the top of the page).

The closest thing in the theme is going to be with page-builder, you add a parallax style row for each staff member with a background image.

Hey, here is another small issue…
When i reload a page (except home) a white space is under the header.
It disapeares as i scroll down and doesn’t show again, but ruins a bit of the first impression

Hi Ben, I deactivated the jetpack Mobile plugin. But I need to work out to fix my pages that to their corresponding links. for example, when I go to http://www.asiatotheeurope.com/ at mobile device, it directly goes to different page instead of home page.

How can I resolve this.

Another Q is: in specific product page is there any plugin to view the images in small size as thumbnails?

@Hannah, I try to customize my web page to appear in mobile devices. But I couldn’t do it with current theme. Previously I used “mystile” which is very good at mobile devices.

for example, when I go to http://www.asiatotheeurope.com/ at mobile device, it directly goes to different page instead of home page. I need to fix this. where should I do this customization work?

Ohh this is not good, sorrrry.
In IE on the home page the sidebar background appears on mouse movement and disapears if you stay still, on all other pages background and navigation bar are permanently visible and grey/black; the navigation background looks diferent on home page from the rest.

On Firefox the unstyled classic background of the navigation sidebar stays permanent on top everywhere, even on top of the header until i scroll down. The navigation bar – the one you can drag- is not visible at all.
Bonus: some huge white space appeared under the footer.

Chrome is similar to IE
Is there some CSS that conflicts? I also added a js line in a footerwidget for anchor-movement and positioning.

Nice would be to have only the rounded black small navigation bar without any background, all time visible – on all pages.

This is strange. I’m not seeing the sidebar on the homepage but on all other pages I am. Try adding this:

Hi,

tryed IE, Chrome and Firefox. Clearing cache, hard-reloading with CTRL+F5, CTRL+SHIFT+F5, etc.
IE is the only one not showing that bar.
In Chrome and Firefox the navigation bar on the right (the old style, not the black rounded) remains on top of the page
… and this is only on the homepage. Smells like some css ?
