Thanks Ben, I don’t think it’s the server because I have another site with a WP theme and it updated correctly even though it didn’t have WooCommerce. Here is the error message I am seeing >

It doesn’t even show WooCommerce. It’s not about having to reinstall WooCommerce, but having to go back and reset the settings. This is a pain.
I am beginning not to like WordPress. Any suggestions? Thanks again.

One more question on shop images… on the product page the images appear dimmed. If I click on them and view them full size they look great.
http://www.firehouseglassworks.com/product/pressed-charm-bracelet/ is a great example as in the product page the pink doesn’t show well, but when viewed full size it’s very bright.

Btw, your support is just as awesome as the theme itself! I’ve told so many people how great your theme is and how great it is to work with both on the site itself and through your support.

You have to choose fullwidth in the widget for the carousel and then in the pagebuilder row you have to select wide content in the row style.

So anybody knows how to fix that? I think the homepage (start page) has different header image size. How can i fixed this? I tried to make another site as the start page but that didnt work 🙁

Hey,
If you have a sidebar on the home page and you want two columns the image will automatically go to the top because of how much space is available.
If you set the home page as your latest posts page you can use theme options to set the “page content” to show your posts in three columns.

Yes you can add cat=”news” to the blog posts shortcode.

If you want the product video tab to be off just leave the box empty and it will automatically not show on the page.

I can’t tell you what might have happened on your server (talk to your host) but you need to have woocommerce enabled if you have a woocommerce carousel on the home page else it won’t load. If you can’t see the woocommerce plugin then I would install again.

I’m a quite happy user of Virtue Premium Theme. I’m trying to build site for a small beer bars net (alpen-hof.ru). Almost everything is good. But there is a tiny nuance. It is very important for me to get feedback from customers (bar visitors). Current testimonial page is not suited me because:
1) it has no option that allow a customer select testimonial group/category (in admin panel I can create categories, but can’t use it in testimonial form)
2) it has no simple rating options
3) there are no fields customer’s e-mail and avatar (of course I can live without avatar but e-mail is needed in order to have ability of personal answer)

Questions are:
1) Do you have a plan to improve testimonial functionality in the nearest future?
2) If no than how can I deactivate Virtue Testimonial functionality in order to use other plugin? A lot of “Testimonials” in admin panel is so good way.

Please, can you check it in the home page of http://www.laplandinteractive.com ?

Try to deactivate woocommerce, blackstudio Tiny MCE and Page builder. Then go to Settings> Permalinks and without touching anything save the page.
Then go back and reactivate the plugin better start with Page builder, Balckstudio and woocommerce.

I’m an user like you but usually refreshing permalinks page helps to fix subtle issues as well as the above plugin can create such strange issue too.

Hey, you can add text to the Product Short Description box on the product edit page and this will appear beside the product. If you don’t see the box you may need to select it from the screen options tab on the top right of the edit page.

Okay, when I have no sidebar turned on the home page then I get 2 columns, with text on the right of image. I would like it to be in landscape mode showing 2 columns and a sidebar. or If I can get it to display 3 columns with side bar, the Portrait format would be okay then, is there a way to tell it to go to 3 columns for blog posts on the home page config? I seem to be only getting no more then 2. I can get 3 columns on a generic blog summary listing page okay, but not on the home page.

What are all the short code options for blog_posts? is there one to specify which category?

Hi Ben, There is some problem going on my website.. It’s very slow.. Takes about almost 16- 30 sec to load.. I tried to disabling all the plugins and it’s still the same. I even unistall the w3 cache properly. But doesn’t work either.. And I get so many css errors 13 to 24 in while inspecting the site element via safari develop mode. Plz have a look. *Login to see link

I have no idea about what’s causing it.. I don’t know if the new WordPress 4.0.1 is causing or my server.. I don’t think it’s my hosting server. Coz the other site I have on the same server with WordPress 4.0.1 is fine. The only thing is on other site. I haven’t updated the virtue premium theme. The other websites that’s are fine http://www.nefeso.org.au and http://www.maintenance.apexworld.com.au

May be you can guide me what’s causing it to be slow.. If it’s the host then I will talk to them.. I would really appreciate your help as always.

I am sorry, I just found SHOP settings in Theme options at the bottom there are additional options for tabs.

However, I discover how should I activate new tab, but when I try remove Product Video tab, I cant.

I am ussing Ben suggestion in css this:
div.product .woocommerce-tabs ul.tabs li.additional_information_tab {
display: none;
}
I tried this:
.woocommerce-page #content div.product .woocommerce-tabs .panel#tab-reviews {
display: none;
}
with changing reviews with product_video and nothing happens, Product Video still in product page.
and i tried to change additional_information with product_video and nothing happens. Where is the mistake?

One more: the product image links (ie on the product listings on the shop and category pages. I tried

without success. (I’d also like to increase the difference in opacity, since my images are such that it’s not obvious you’re hovering on a link).

Ben, WP updated itself to ver 4.0.1 and my whole site disappeared. Should I be waiting for an updated theme and WooCommerce? It won’t reinstall any plug-ins including the ones that came with the theme i.e. Kadence slider, page builder, etc. It doesn’t even show WooCommerce as a plug-in option.

Hey, so you an actually turn this on in theme options > shop settings. Look under Shop Archive Page Settings.
