Hi Hannah,

I noticed another breakpoint issue with the Row Layout block at 767px wide.

Same conflict between the mobile and tablet vues:
– media queries for mobiles are set to (max-width : 767px)
– media queries for tablets and above are set to (min-width: 767px)

I think you should make a choice for this resolution and apply it to all stylesheets:

– mobiles -> (max-width: 766px)
– tablets and above -> (min-width: 767px)

or

– tablets and above -> (min-width: 768px)
– mobiles -> (max-width : 767px)

In the header’s primary navigation I get strange link underline behavior on hover.
The line appears and disappears.
The current page has a static underline, which is as it should be.

Only on hover, it shows the underline for half a second or so.

I want to hide page titles selectively based on the page content. Just moved from Virtue free to Virtue Premium with no change in the installed set of plugins, and my home page title appears even though it’s set to HIDE in WP Bakery Page Builder backend editor. Selecting Virtue free live preview in Appearance hides the header as desired. (Using Virtue Premium with the same page builder on another site worked as desired.) See screenshots; please advise.

Hi,

I use the transparent header on my website. The header just contains a logo on the left, menu and search icon on the right.
I now have the problem that I need the exact same transparent header on the single post page just with another logo and other navigation colors. I tried but not sure how to do that…

I’m sorry to hear you’re still having this issue.

Upon checking, after clicking a category on the filter, some of the categories show products but some do not – https://share.getcloudapp.com/Jru4707x. Additionally, you have combined and minified CSS files from SG Optimizer. Just to confirm is minify and combine also enabled for JS files? Have you tried disabling these options and purged cache to see if the issue will be fixed?

Do you have the updated version of the Kadence blocks plugin?

Also, are you using Lazy Load? If so, could you try to turn it off and recheck if the issue persists?

Moreover, are you seeing any console error when you inspect the elements of the page?

It’s also possible that there’s a plugin conflict. You can try to deactivate other plugins, and with each deactivation, recheck again.

Thanks, Ben for the detailed answer and the explanation.

I’m not a dev or a coder, yet I do understand the abstract logic of the code. Correct me if I’m wrong, but using that filter would essentially disable the loading tag sitewide. What I’m trying to achieve here in terms of performance is to use two different tag values for above and below the fold: lazy for below the viewport, and eager for the viewport itself. I thought adding the tag manually would do the trick and it does, but as you explained it’s not how Gutenberg works and I get the broken block notice (even if it’s not).

I use Perfmatters plugin for performance and I find it really good. Yet, it only allows all the images to be lazy-loaded on a page basis, and exclude some I don’t want with a class, for example. That would put the loading tag into auto mode and eager mode, which actually pushes and preloads the images is still missing.

Would it make sense in your opinion to make a custom function/plugin with an array of classes that would handle this problem consistently and selectively? What would be the most elegant approach and solution in your opinion?

Hi Ben,
Could there be a conflict between Ascend theme and plugins Popup Maker. Theme and all plugins are updated. Ascend freezes the home page and you can only see the top part of the page and no pop up at all. I have tested with one of the WordPress themes: Twenty-Twenty-one and when using this theme the plugin is working fine and the there is no freezing.
I have contacted Popup Maker, but they suggested that I should contact you instead because their plugins work with WordPress own themes.
Can you help me also with this? Or should I use another popup plugins?

Thank you Ben,
Strange, but it is now fixed, but I did it another way. Because I already had a translation of the Swedish shop (made with wpml). I first made the Swedish version of the shop default in the Woo Template settings. After that I went to the string translations to look after the new ID-number for the Swedish shop “[kadence_woo_templates]shop_product_default”. Then I again went back to the Woo Template settings and switch back to the Finnish shop, and then in the string translation translated the string with the new Swedish ID. Now it is 100% correct, and there was no need to make a new template for the Swedish shop page (like your test).
I could swear that in previous versions of Woo Template the translation ID has been visible on the template page. And I’m also quite certain that the shop page has worked the same way as for example Product template = without any string translation….

Hey – loving the new Mosaic Gallery, however am I able to customize it a bit?

I would like to have a specific layout which I’ve mocked up below:

Basically I would like to only see 3 images/mosaics at a time, regardless of how many images are in the gallery.

I would like the first image to take up about 2/3 of the space and be on the left, with a further two images stacked next to it taking up the remaining 1/3.

With all 3 mosaics having the same aspect ratio.

I would like the gallery to take up the entire width of the page as well with no margins or padding.

Hopefully this is possible. Any help would be appreciated. I’ll include the admin logins below.

In my old theme I had the ability to create testimonial ‘posts’ – a bit like a normal post but with extra fields for star-ratings, URL etc. It meant that testimonials could be created centrally in the admin back-end and planted anywhere on the site using a grid and without having to manually enter them each time. It also enabled the creation of a dedicated testimonials page which could display all of them with minimal effort.

Is there any such facility in Kadence, or any plans to introduce it?

On my website, the photos that I put in pages or posts are placed with an image border.
This despite the fact that I disabled this function in the theme options.

When I look at an image with the inspector function of Firefox, I see that a padding of 10px is used.
This looks like this:
