Great new theme Ben – thanks a lot.
I am having trouble getting the Pinnacle short code button to click when adding a Simple Box to a page. It worked once adding a space short code, but hasn’t worked since. Odd, I had one plugin activated and deactivated that and it still doesn’t work. I added a bit of custom CSS, but that should affect anything should it? Any thoughts?
In forum: Virtue ThemeSeptember 10, 2014 at 3:24 pm #17258Looks like your plugin is calling in a different header and footer template… just add this css:
#page #header, #page #footer { display:none; }Ben

i) ok, got it. However, automagically pulling the post’s featured image could be a nice feature. At least for my customer who, in that case, doesn’t have to care about finding the proper header image upload button in the backend… ;o)
ii) we can individually configure the category pages’ header. Wow, that’s nice!
iii) will do so.Thanks, Ben!

September 10, 2014 at 1:20 pm #17239“So I have to explicitly assign the header img in each post, right?”
Yes, If you want to use something different then the default that is set in your theme options > page title. You can set the page header of your category pages by going to posts > categories, click one to edit and edit the page header options.
As for your blog page (all categories ) you should use the page template.

Ok, found it – thanks, Hannah! So I have to explicitely assign the header img in each post, right? Does Pinnacle offer something like “if a post has a featured image, always take it as the Single Post page’s header image. If not, leave the header blank (or take some default Single Post header img)”?
And regarding the demo’s Blog Post archive page: is it actually a Post Archive? I don’t see any corresponding config options in Blog Options > Blog Category/Archive Defaults. I guess, in the demo it is a Page with custom header which collects and displays posts of a certain category, right?

Hey Hannah, am still posting stuff up for my company and the site is still not ready to go public yet. I won’t be posting a link here.
Am referring to the page number navigation at the bottom of my shop page…it was working fine before I did the update. Nothing happens now when we click on the page numbers or the arrow icon. Hope someone can help enlighten me thanks! In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: post header image

part 2: http://de.tinypic.com/r/292o1so/8

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeHello,
I have the same problem. When using the month view we have a single dot vesus the hover which would show the event details. I have turned off the Select2 Select and like the previous user did the basic theme test and the calander plug in works as it should. Also there is a weird footer section that appears only on the calendar’s page. It contains…

Entries (RSS) and Comments (RSS).Would like to get rid of it but can’t seem to find where it populates from. I will post on the Modern Tribe fiorums about it as well since it’s quite possible that comes from thier side.
Thanks for any help and for making a GREAT theme!!

September 10, 2014 at 10:19 am #17215Hey, In your wordpress settings > reading. Make sure you have left the “latest post” page blank, on select.
If you select a page it will override it’s settings.
As for showing an image with your posts, you can set the defaults in the theme options > blog settings
Check the summary options.Ben

September 10, 2014 at 10:16 am #17214If you want the background of the home page to be white all the way you can use this css:
.homepagecontent { background: #fff; }Or in your page builder options you can make each have a white background.

OK-
I changed my strategy.
I created a new page – feature-sidebar.
I put in text at top and used shortcodes to show product. But now my sidebar does not show up. I’m not sure why?
Any ideas

PatriciaIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Kadence Slider – Caption (text) margins
Thank you, Hannah
The description works just fine now.
However, the page width does not. In the example shown in the link I would like the home icon menu to be wider (to start more to the left and finish more to the right); also the primary menu to go to the right a bit more than it is now. Maybe I am missing something?
Additionally, one more thing would be that I am also wondering whether the secondary menu can be placed under the kadence slider on the home page. Should i start a new thread with this topic?
Thanks,
Ileana
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeTopic: post header image
Hi Ben,
in yr Pinnacle online demo, at Blog > Blog Standard, the page shows a custom header img and when I pull a single post – e.g. the Standard Post – the (featured?) image of that post is shown in the header (beautyfull!). Could you pls point me to the corresponding docs section or quickly explain how to set this up. Currently, when I pull a single post with an attached featured image, I just get the default Pinnacle homepage header image (>> the valley at sunrise/sunset ..).
Thanks,
DirkIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Kadence Slider – Caption (text) margins
Hey thanks for the prompt reply
1. actually i would like the page width to be higher than 940 px so i left unchecked that option. I would like it to be a bit higher than it is now
2. about the kadence slider – actually i wanted the captions pushed to the left, therefori put “-10%” in the “margin-left:” code. However, I would also like the description to be aligned left with the caption heading, if possible, which doesn’t happed if i change this code.
Thanks a lot
Ileana
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Kadence Slider – Caption (text) margins
If you go to theme options > misc settings you can limit the max page to 940px.
As for the kadence slider, you’re just wanting your captions pushed to the right? Try pasting this in your custom css box in theme options > advanced settings:.kad-slider-70 .kad-slider .kadcaptiontitle, .kadcaptiontext p { margin-left: 10%; }Hope that helps!
HannahIn forum: Virtue ThemeHello
I have set up a kadence slider – full width.
I would like the margins for the caption text to be smaller (that is the whole text to be closer to the margins of the screen)
Same goes for other items in page – for example the home icon menu or primary menu.
Is this possible?
Thanks,
Ileana
