In reply to: Creating links from pictures in Photo Gallery
Hi! So the biggest thing to understand is the difference between portfolio items and a portfolio page. To create portfolio items you go to portfolio > add new. Each portfolio item you create will display as a single portfolio post on your portfolio page. It is important that you set a featured image for each item as this it what will display on your portfolio page. To create a portfolio page go to pages > add new and name the page Portfolio. Then set the page template to portfolio grid and hit save draft (or publish). Once the template is set the page will automatically display the featured image from each portfolio item as a grid on the page and each item will automatically link to that portfolio post.
Hope this somewhat makes sense! I can definitely see your confusion.
Let me know if I can help you further!
HannahIn forum: Virtue ThemeI know this has been asked a few times now, but I’m sorry, the answers I’ve seen don’t show how to actually link the pictures to other pages from a gallery list. The tutorial is okay, but could be more thorough in my opinion. How do you get from : *Login to see link to *Login to see link ?
I love the demo page in the above link, but I don’t see where I change my pictures from a lightbox to a link. Maybe I missed a tutorial. Please let me know if there is a more in depth tutorial. I have the premium theme.
Thanks for a great theme and great support. Take care!

Ben, Hannah,
I would like to take a minute and say thank you so much for all of your help. Your support service is outstanding. I would not have been able to do this with out it. Your knowledge, and quick help is above, and beyond what I would have expected. You guys are the best. Now that I have my products pages where I like it. I can move on to another area. I do have one request from you guys. I would like your personal opinion of what I have come up with for my site. I know that I can be a bit anal about certain things. For example, I like things to line up, and I also like the border radius on a lot of stuff. But I am who I am. I have built other web sites for myself, but this is the first that is for commerce. That is why I ask for your opinion ( not required ), just hoping. Take care.

August 18, 2014 at 10:16 am #15387I only see one option (without going in and editing the code in the theme)
Make a Three row layout portfolio. Set your portfolio settings to none and remove the values. Then using page builder a row with two columns, add a virtue: gallery widget in the left and text in the right to copy the portfolio layout.
Then add another row and add your carousel widget.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: How to add a different sidebar on a filterpage
August 18, 2014 at 10:08 am #15385There isn’t really anyway to do this, A filter page isn’t like a category or other page, It’s loaded with ajax so it’s not actually considered it’s own page.
If having different sidebar widgets is important you would have to drop the filter and just use categories or tags.Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: mobile slider dimensions
August 18, 2014 at 9:58 am #15381The point is your full page slider is set to be above the header. A mobile slider doesn’t do that, So you can if you want hide the above the header slider on mobile and use the mobile slider below your header? Is that what you want? The mobile slider is only designed to replace sliders below the header.

Sorry I tried that, this makes all other things on the page go underneath. I wanted the projects details to stay next to the slideshow ( Beside Setting )
Then put a new row underneath with a carousel widget or someway to put Post’s of the Ladies Sessions. I think the only way is to double up on everything.
Make a normal Post of the surf session ( so i can list all posts of same category ) and a Portfolio Post as well ( so I can have them underneath my Ladies Portfolio Page ).I thought their was a better way to do this. I think all I can do is select Above setting and having Two roes underneath, one for the projects Details and
the 2nd Row the Carousel Widget through Page builder. Its a Pity, the Project details looked good sitting next to the slideshow.Do you have a better way maybe ?

Hey,
In the revolution slider edit page under Single Slide you can turn the loop slide on. Does that work for you or would you rather just the text to loop?
As for the font, you can add a a google font under Google Font Settings also located in the revolution slider edit page.
Hope this helps!

Hey Hannah,
No this isnt working the way I need it to. Ill try and explain it. I have 5 portfolio Post pages on my homepage slider.
Each shows the details of a project ( Ladies, Private, Beginners, Elite ) and a main image slider for that project.
I wanted to put all my posts that I create each week for that particular category post type, underneath its own Portfolio. But it seems only Portfolio Posts can go underneath Portfolios. The post’s I create are just Post’s. Bottom Carousel options only
show Portfolio Post,s. So basically I wanted to show my “Ladies” category posts in the Bottom Carousel of a “Ladies” Portfolio Page.
Because in the normal Post’s page you can select all post’s of a type of Category. Seems i need a combination of what a Portfolio and Post page offer.Any help greatly appreciated.

Ben,
I don’t quite agree because I have done one site and it had 2 different sliders – full page slider and a mobile slider – and they worked perfectly, but it was my testing page and I delated it and I don’t know how to repeat that process.
My goal is to have two different sliders, one full page slider, and one mobile slider. Can I somehow do it ? If not then I don’t quite understand mobile slider option…
Cheers

August 17, 2014 at 4:05 pm #15330If woocommerce is saying you have files that are out of date then your would have to be using an older version of the theme.
If your version is prior to 2.2.0 then you have to update by downloading the theme from the my account page: https://www.kadencewp.com/my-account/
and install here are instructions: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#premium_update

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: woocommerce shopping cart
purchased Virtue Premium and am attempting to use Woocommerce. Link to shopping cart does not appear. Seems like everything else is OK.
WooCommerce System Status indicates that multiple template files (I am assuming WooCommerce templates) are out of date despite having deactivated / deleted / re-uploaded / re-activated WooCommerce.
I am currently deleting all WooCommerce-related pages and will re-create using Woo Shortcodes.
Any information on your end about known bugs / issues with Virtue Premium & WooCommerce?
Thanks.
