Hello! I’m using the flex slider for my home page, and I’d like my caption text to be another color beside the default white. I’ve searched the forums and theme options and can’t seem to find a way to do this….help? I’m relatively new to WordPress and this theme, so apologies in advance if this is stupid simple.

Your right about this site not being virtue theme..but I saw this on view source..it may be they used this as part of their site.
Any way i have been exploring this and it can be done with image map and javascript or jquery for the hover over
or I can simply use alt and title with no style for the hover over text.

I have not played around with your portfolio and grid port folio yet .. Am wondering how and if possible to put an image map i their… I would guess that you can create them only from the library. I can put an image map in page and then link to CSS and Javascript.

Anyway the masonry seems to be showing up everywhere and I am seeing code popping up and a and some wp plugins but nothing yet to
put in the hover over easily..I am sure there is someone right now thinking of a way to make an easy plug in

Hey Hannah,

No plugins are used to make it password protected. I am using the ‘Visibility” option found top right of the portfolio page; this feature comes with WordPress.

Unfortunately you cannot see my site right now unless you modify your hosts file. Currently changing website host. However, if you try yourself, I’d expect you will see the problem I described.

I could send you the modification you need for the host file, in which case, could I have an email instead of posting it on here?

If I use the template “portfolio grid” on a password protected page the password field is shown, but below the grid is shown as well.

As a workaround, I used the portfolio shortcode but this does not seem to have a parameter for displaying the filters?

Could you please advise me how to create password protected portfolio grid, with the filters displayed.

Hi All,

I am facing a strange problem only in google chrome browser and not in firefox. Inside any blog post sub page (any post page inside a category called featured) when I am trying to view the featured image, it appears and disappears with mouse hover effect. Like

In the above URL, the image appears and disappears with mouse hover effect when viewed in chrome browser. Can any of you please guide me how to fix this bizarre problem?

All right, I updated it, but when I go to theme options, on the top a message says

Settings have changed, you should save them!
error(s) were found!
warning(s) were found!

And nothing helps even if I save it or whatever. Moreover, the carousel from my home page has dissapeard, both my portfolio carousel and my blog carousel…

Hey Barry, so I’m pretty positive that the alabamachanin site you posted is not a Virtue site. I know that you can create a masonry portfolio page with Virtue, but I don’t know how to do do it through a shop page. I’m sure there is a way to do it, I’m just not sure what that is. Ben would know but he is backpacking till Monday. I’ll keep messing around seeing if I can figure it out. If not, I’m sure Ben will have an answer Monday.

What I need to do is link each one of the images to a specific page. Is there a gallery widget that you know of that might work for what I am doing.

Also I don’t want the screen to change focus but maintain the same photo area when I scroll up.

Hi, it may be a very stupid question but how can I update the rev slider 4.5.9 to 4.5.95? I have the same problem as Jason, with the 4.5.9 version I bought with the Virtue premium theme. I only can see PURCHASE everywhere and the manual update in the plugin page. Can you help me? Or when the next Virtue theme updete arrives? thx anyway

Here is a odd thing but maybe will shed some light on the issue. Just got home on lunch and pulled up my site in IE 11 in metro (for easy access) and all the animations work. Since I use chrome at work I tried it on my tablet as well and the animations don’t work. Is there something with the Virtue theme when using a page for the homepage causing the animations to get hung in chrome? My only thought as they worked fine on outertundra.com in IE 11 and the Revolution Slider works fine in Chrome on the developers site.

Yes if you turn off the virtue gallery then it will use the default wordpress gallery. You can turn if off in the theme options > misc settings.

No you can’t use portfolio pages for products they are separate post types.

My test site right now is outertundra.com and http://outertundra.com/sample-page/ for the sample from Revolution to see. And I guess I should clarify It is the animation of movement on the individual layers in the slides. I can only get fade and the animation of the letters or words to work. None of the movements from left or right or up or down are working. This can be seen by looking at the Revolution dummy and then the example on their page at here.
