In reply to: woocommerce_cart page missing
July 22, 2014 at 1:01 pm #13553Hey, I can’t really make sense of it because you don’t have the shop stuff translated. And I think this is the issue: Because you are using WPML and woocommerce I am guessing the WPML only allows for the pages to be main pages. but either way I looked in your woocomemrce settings and no pages were selected for the cart or checkout pages?

July 22, 2014 at 12:35 pm #13546By chance did you watch any of the tutorials I posted yesterday? There is a good one for understanding menus here:
http://code.tutsplus.com/articles/wordpress-101-video-training-part-13-custom-menus–wp-21482We also have a tutorial here: https://www.kadencewp.com/building-displaying-menus/
And you can see an explanation in the docs: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#menus
1. If you are editing a menu you want to make sure at the top that you have selected the right menu, then find the menu item and if you want to replace you just remove the item and add the new. if you want to change the menu label (visible text) then you change that right in the label box for the menu item.
2. When on the menus page the top select box is where you can switch between all the menus you’ve created.
3. you can see an explanation in the docs: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#menus
4. The “theme slider size” is not specific enough for me to answer that. Can you post a link to the slider you are asking about?

Hello Ben
I had it like that before. made an Child-Page with [woocommerce_cart] in it.
This does not work until I make it a Mainpage. If you like to, you can login an check for yourselfe (the login and password didn’t change :-)).
Hey, thanks for all your great help. I would be lost without you.

July 22, 2014 at 11:53 am #13536You can have woocomemrce pages be a child page. Are you adding in the woocomemrce shortcode for each page?
For example the cart page have to have [woocommerce_cart] inside. and also be assigned in the woocommerce settings.

Hey, I just found out if I make the cart as a mainpage that it works. The problem is, tat I prefere to have the products and the cart after the http://www.gullxpand.com/shop.
I still try around. 🙂
Thanks for your attention and help.
Do you know, why the cart is not able to be a subpage?

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Styling a menu in page builder
Hi,
Thanks for that, it’s definately a step in the right direction. However, what I’d really like is for the links to be evenly spaced across the width of the page, with an invisible box behind each that is a 1/3 of the page width which changes colour when the mouse hovers over. The text size is the size I’d like it.
Does that make any sense?

Hey, try pasting this into your custom css box in theme options:
#menu-featured-menu.menu>li a:hover { background: #D1D0CE; }As far as the width of the button/links they seem to already be spreading evenly across the page. Are you wanting them in boxes like below? Or are you just wanting the text bigger?

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Website optimization
Hi Ben,
I’m trying to improve the performance of my website. Therefore I’m using some testing tools which are from the internet. F.e. gtmetrix.com but also the german seitenreport.de
There seem to be many CSS mistakes on my website – that is what this test says:
*Login to see linkgtmetrix says that too much Javascript is parsed:
“652.5KiB of JavaScript is parsed during initial page load. Defer parsing JavaScript to reduce blocking of page rendering.
/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/assets/js/min/plugins-ck.js?ver=247 (292.4KiB)”
Another big part is the rev-slider.Any idea what I should change and improve?

In forum: Virtue ThemeI have tried for days now to figure out how to better size my product images and the layout in my shop.
1) Please see the kadence slider on my homepage, http://www.africatrademakers.com how do I get the pictures to properly size to fit the slider proportionally. I have read other similar posts on here and tried the solutions given but I see no changes when i edit the px on both the image itself or on the slider height and width.
Also please see shop page, why are my size 10 and size 11 products positioned on the bottom with the space you see here *Login to see link
I am a complete novice at this and have learnt everything from reading posts here. Please help me with clear layman instructions on how to fix my images and layout. I am using premium with a child theme. I had to learn how to use the child theme from scratch too so i am not 100% sure if i did it all right
Please help me! I am willing to even pay someone to make my site look like a normal one…if I can afford it though, so far I haven’t been able to and that is why i started on my own like this and have been struggling ever since.
Thanks much
In forum: Virtue ThemeHello
When I click on the products in my onlineshop everything works fine; I can even put them to the cart but as soon as I want to go to the cart, it does not open. I got the cart page with [woocommerce_cart]. I connected it in the woocommerce-settings but still, I don’t get there. My Onlineshop is on http://www.gullxpand.com/shop
Can somebody help me please?
Thanks a lot for your great work and big help.
Greetings
Sascha
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
I’m using the page-builder to put together my front page and I’d like the three links underneath the slider to be identical in style to the links in my secondary menu (the one immediately above the slider) – so that when you hover over them they show a grey box.
I’d also like these buttons/links to span the width of the page, so they are each 33% of the width of the page. (similar to the blue buttons that are currently there).
My site is here – *Login to see link
Can anyone help?
Thanks

July 21, 2014 at 5:37 pm #13496Thats not really getting us closer unless your logged into the site with a non admin account (which would be a problem, need to be an admin). That error would show for a number of reasons. And can also mean that the theme options page was never created.

July 21, 2014 at 5:03 pm #13494Well that all sounds fine. I don’t have any more guesses from here. You can try to install the redux framework plugin and see if the theme options shows. Else I can’t really guess why it’s not on your server?
You can try to access direct using : yourlocallink/wp-admin/admin.php?page=kad_options&tab=0

July 21, 2014 at 4:18 pm #13490Can you post a link. The staff page setting should allow you to turn on the crop.
How large of images are you using?
Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: theme options disappearance
Hmm, I don’t see any theme options. Here are the top-level menu items I see on my left hand side of admin panel:
- Dashboard
- Posts
- Portfolio
- Media
- Pages
- Testimonials
- Staff
- Comments
- Appearance
- Plugins
- Users
- Tools
- Settings
- Collapse menu
My wordpress version is 3.9.1 and my free virtue theme is 2.2.1 and my premium is 2.5.1 and to install I just unzipped virtue premium in my themes directory and activated it.
