Topic: Side bar on Shop Page
March 4, 2021 at 9:32 am #264093Hi There!
For some reason my shop page is pulling in the side bar but down below the footer. Here is the link to the page so you can see what I mean: *Login to see link
I would prefer to not have the side bar on the shop page at all and certainly not down under the footer. I have walked through the steps described in forum post #264056 but nothing seems to be working that way. Please advise.
Thank you!

In forum: Kadence ThemeMarch 4, 2021 at 8:09 am #264090Hello!
I’ve spend a solid chunk of last evening and today trying to understand both the Kadence header and footer. Though the header (mostly) makes sense at the moment, I’m still at a loss regarding the footer.
It seems there’s no official documentation on the footer, and those people who’ve put Kadence tutorials on YouTube, all seem to expect different things from a footer than I do.
So here’s the footer I’m trying to build (from a site of mine build with a different theme):
It’s just your run of the mill footer with a bunch of important posts, privacy policy etc.
Now here’s where I ended up with Kadence:
What I’m trying to do should be really simple. I just want to have a vertical list of text in which I can put custom links to pages on my site. I want to be able to style this text, e.g. make it bigger and smaller, change the color and add boldness. Just like the “Footer copyright” widget does.
There are about 15 widgets to choose from. Many of which are somewhat puzzling, like an audio player, recent site comments or WordPress meta data. But there’s no simple text block widget.
What I tried to do, but doesn’t work for my purposes, is add the “all page widget”, and the “HTML” widget. I just need whatever is being used for that Copyright widget, and all should be good.
Another challenge I have is that the title of the social widget automatically gets capitalized:
Is there any way to prevent this from happening?
Then finally, I wonder if I could somehow adjust the width of the footer content (and the header content) to a custom width. I’m looking to accomplish something like this:
Where basically my header, content, and footer all have the same width.
Is there any way to accomplish this?
Many thanks in advance.

I just have a general question about the best way to achieve what I want, the following post will have a link and the row design I am trying to create. It is basically a prow to display categories.
I know I can easily create it with row layout but I thought info box would be good because I could use some of the cool hovers it has, such as background colour change, border colour change, image flip to other image, etc.
The main issue with using infobox (apart from that it is much clunkier than using row layout)is it appears very difficult to make these infoboxes the same height. Is there a simple way to make all info boxes the same height or must I achieve this with trickery around image/icon size and padding adjustment?
thanks
In forum: Kadence ThemeMarch 3, 2021 at 3:04 pm #264065I am developing this site: http://www.brucarlocksmith.com and would like to change the logo in the header to be “click-to-call” (i.e. <a href=”tel: ….”), instead of the default link back to the home page. The site is a child of the Kadence theme. Can I do this, and if so, how?

I believe that I am having a similar issue to this post. For some reason my shop page is pulling in the side bar but down below the footer. Here is the link to the page so you can see what I mean: https://serenityzest.com/products/

CassieIn forum: Kadence BlocksHi Ben,
found another WPML issue
I made multiple reusable blocks with Gutenberg. If i paste the blocks into a post the translated version is fine.
But as soon as i put the block into the accordion i only get the original language on the translated page.Kind regards,
MikeIn forum: Kadence ThemeHello,
There is no option to add a description to the blog page set on the Reading Settings. That option is to show the description of the post Categories and Tags, which also uses the archive layout. You can add their descriptions by going to Posts > Categories/Tags, edit a specific category/tag, and add the description on the Description field – https://share.getcloudapp.com/WnuBX8b0.
Hope this helps.

Hey,
1. That widget is not part of the theme. Are you using a plugin that may be outputting it?2. I suggest uploading a larger image so it is crisper. You can use css like this to stretch it further:
.header-html.inner-link-style-normal, .header-html-inner .aligncenter { width: 100%; }3. Can you post a link to page you have selected a sidebar layout but it is not displaying?
4. You can select a default sidebar for your pages from Customize > Page Layout > Default Page Layout. This can be set page to page from the individual page settings. See screenshot:

6. Try changing your css to this:
@media (max-width: 1200px) { .header-navigation .header-menu-container ul ul li a, .header-navigation .header-menu-container ul ul { width: 200px; } .header-navigation ul ul ul { right: 100% !important; left: auto; } .header-navigation ul ul { right: 10% !important; left: auto; } }Hope that helps!
7. Yes, this pulls from Settings > Reading > Posts show at most
So glad you’re enjoying the theme!
Best,

CassieIn forum: Membership ForumsIn reply to: Can I template the WooCommerce product page?
Hey Allan,
Yes, if using the Woo Template Builder you also need to install Pagebuilder by Siteorigin. We also have a WooCommerce template builder for Elementor. See here: https://www.kadencewp.com/product/kadence-woocommerce-elementor/Best,

I added the code in the advanced tab:
And then added it as additional CSS to the row:
However, no border shows on the page. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

In forum: Kadence BlocksIn reply to: Advanced Gallery – Masonry
I was trying to figure out where is the problem. If I look at the third gallery (Monkie Kid), I can see that the
- element with class “kb-gallery-ul” has height set in element style to 20px when it loads for the first time. However, when I refresh the page or simply change the size of browser window, it changes to 320px. So there must be an issue with script which checks the initial height of that
- element based on the number and height of the pictures in the gallery.
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Portfolio search function in portfolio posts
Hello Åsa,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
If you use the Portfolio Grid page template, you’ll have the option to show a filter for the portfolio posts – http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/templates/portfolio-page-template/. Unfortunately, the filter will only have a selection for the Portfolio Work Type.
Hope this helps and let us know if we can assist you further.

March 2, 2021 at 4:25 am #264010Hi Hannah,
Here is a screenshot of a page where I inserted icon blocks. I set three icon sizes (70px/50px/40px) for the example:
I could override the styles in a custom CSS but, first, I wanted to know if this behavior was voluntary. If not, I prefer to wait for an update.
Thanks!
