In reply to: Portfolio pictures not being cropped
In forum: Virtue ThemeThank you Virtue for creating an easy to navigate theme.
I am having a problem with posting images of various sizes onto a page. I would like to have each image cropped in order to achieve even rows and columns.
This is the page I am referring to, you can see how the rows are uneven: *Login to see link
I even went to Pages -> Portfolio and made sure the “Crop images to equal height” was marked yes with no result. So, is this possible without having to resize all the images?
I have spent a few hours trying to re sizing each individual picture, although that is quite difficult with the images that are portrait oriented.
Thank you in advance.

July 1, 2014 at 10:11 pm #11989You have to create a page, call it home (if you want), then in the settings > reading make the front page a “static” page. and select that page.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Products not inline?
July 1, 2014 at 9:53 pm #119861. The products are not set with a specific height because your title and be as long as you make it, since you are using a 6 column layout and you have some pretty long titles products are taller then others. Causing the layout to have a Pinterest style look.
Here are somethings you can do to fix.
1. In the theme options > shop settings make your product title font size smaller so they don’t take up so much space.
2. in the theme options > shop settings make your product title min height 80 or 100
3. Add this css to your custom css box in the theme options for your products that have two lines of pricing..product_item .kad_add_to_cart { margin-top: 20px; } .product_item.sale.product-type-variable .kad_add_to_cart { margin-top: 0px; }2. gridlist toggle is a plugin (you have activated) it doesn’t work with this theme, so would be best to deactivate as it will conflict with css.
3. Yes you can click the row style button and make it whatever you like, color, texture, image Here is some directions:

.products div.product { border: 0; }Ben

July 1, 2014 at 9:40 pm #11984So I take it your using the boxed layout but you want the pagebuilder columns to extend to the edge. Can you post a link to your site, that would help as what your wanting will require some css.

July 1, 2014 at 9:27 pm #11981The site you linked to is under construction. You can set the post summery (the way it appears on a blog page) to have the image above the title or beside if by using the “portrait image” as your summary setting. You can see examples in the demo: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/blog/
Of if you want to show all of the blog post, instead of a summary you can set the blog page to show full like this: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/blog-full/Ben

In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Blog – Pictures Full Width?
Hi, I’m trying to figure out how to change the “Ship to different address” title on Checkout Page to say something else. Is there an easy Virtue Premium Theme option to change this or do I need to use a hook and filter to achieve this? I have a limited understanding of php, and usage of hooks and filters, but I’d appreciate any help or direction on how to accomplish this. I’m using the latest Virtue Premium Theme and WooCommerce Plugin. I’m referring to the checkout page on this site: *Login to see link

Hi Ben,
Please view this page and I need help on a few things.
*Login to see link1. Take a look at the products and you will see that about 1/2 way down the products are not inline, this is an issue with all the shop pages.
2. I see a box for grid and list view, how do I get that not to display? The list view option is not working anyway so I just want to remove it.
3. this is about the call to action in the page builder, can that background image be changed?Look forward to your help!

Thanks, Ben.
I’ve gone with the pagebuilder/column suggestion and it works reasonably well, but there’s still white space on the sides of the page. It’s functional for now though, so I’ll leave it as-is.
I’m also working on a sub page using pagebuilder. I’ve got two columns – one with an image, and one with text. I’d like the image to fill the entire space (half of the width of the screen) all the way to the edge of the screen. Essentially, I’d like it to look like what they have on nest.com. Any suggestions? I’ve tried all settings and nothing seems to work.In forum: Virtue ThemeHi everyone.
I am running the Virtue Premium 2.4.5 on my site but I cannot get the home page to work/display correctly.
I want it to show in order from top down:
Kart
Logo
Navigation
Slider
Featured Products
Latest Blog posts
Icon MenuWhen I try to get it to display the Featured Products, Latest Blog Posts and Icon menu, it creates the space but doesnt display anything.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I have tried loading the demo content in and it doesnt function correctly. I have no idea whats going on and im loosing the will lol.
Cheers
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Image Carousel of Images within a portfolio
Petica,
Are you wanting to show images from the specific portfolio item, or of the portfolio type?
If you want to show a carousel of the portfolio type, then you can do so by using the carousel option at the bottom of the edit page, and using the settings in this screenshot: https://cloudup.com/c25IjrRJJ2x
In forum: Virtue ThemeDear Ben,
sorry, me again. I want to put an image carousel on each of my portfolio pages , to show only the images within that portfolio.
I can’t quite work out how to restrict the widget to only the images in a particular portfolio. I can see that you can “limit to category” but that is not the same as “limit to portfolio” or “limit to portfolio type”
Are there any issues I should know about like, if all my portfolios have an image carousel will that slow down the site, etc?If it’s not possible I’ll have to just put a straightforward gallery I think…

I just wanted my blog summary page to look something like this : http://jelirad.com/home/blog/
Would i have to make sure all my images are exactly the same size? -
