June 24, 2014 at 1:26 pm #11454Hey so this has to do with permalinks. If your page permalink is “http://yoursite.com/portfolio/ then it can’t do page 2 and page 3 because it gets confused with the single portfolio post which use “portfolio” as the base by default. So if you switch the permalink for your grid page to say “projects” or “portfolio-grid” then it would work. Of if you use default permalinks in the permalink settings it would work. Or you can switch the base for the single portfolio posts in the theme options > portfolio settings to something different from “portfolio” and that would work.

Hi Ben:
I am working with a portfolio grid where I have 2 categories. I have set the number of items to show on the page, and my list exceeds the number, so it shows page navigation at the bottom.
When I click on page 2, I receive the 404 message. How should the pages be set up to navigate properly to pages 2 and 3?
Thanks, Ned

June 24, 2014 at 12:47 pm #11451In the theme options > home layout. You can see that there are ways to rearrange what is shown on the home page. Since you are using the page content for the top, then the latest posts module I suggest you add the ads to the home widget area and place that below the latest posts.

I just added two affiliate links to the bottom, or what I thought would be the bottom of the page. ( http://www.baywatcharms.com ). Apparently there is a default setting that puts the latest post at the bottom. Is there a way to change this so the affiliate links are at the bottom, just above the footer?

Got ya ! Thanks.
I hope you don’t think this is rude of me – but I find the support pages
http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#miscsettings
really difficult to navigate. Maybe you could have a ‘search’ or is there one that I haven’t found? Right now I’m desperately searching for help on adding social ‘like’ and ‘share’ stuff in various places (because the jetpack ones i have aren’t sharing the right images) so I’m wondering if I could achieve the same goal with a Virtua Social Widget but can’t find the HELP on that so that I can HELP myself rather than ask you all the time 🙂
So I know I’ve kinda gone off topic, but can you point me in to the right place?
Thanks Ben – your support is superior in every way !

Okay – I’ve finally gone through every portfolio page and made them the same and YAY – it’s working… So can you just clarify – do ALL the portfolio posts have to have the same settings re image slider or image (with feature image set) or can some be one way and some the other?
Thanks again Ben

Hi Ben – Feeling a little exasperated I’m still having problems. It was working all fine after you found the problem above. I’ve checked and double checked all my images which are being used as part of portfolio posts (they are all 1024 x 1024) but the layouts are not working.
As you’ve suggested on another post I’m using [portfolio_posts] within pagebuilder on the HOME page and just Portfolio Grid here http://picturethispicturethat.co.uk/commissions but I just can’t get them to align ??
I’m sure it’s me but I can’t look any more for what it is. Please can you have a look.
Appreciate your time.

I am using Jetpack 3.0.2. Running on one.com and I am from Norway. We have special characters, but not used in the site as of yet, not even in posts. My admin is however in Norwegian, With the exception of unsupported plugins and Virtue.
I have tried latest Version of Chrome, Firefox, IE and Opera.
It does work when disabling pagebuilder.
For me this is not a big deal when I have a workaround. I do need to have cross selling and up selling possibilities, but can live With disabling the pagebuilder as long as it works. In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Problem with SiteOrigin Page Builder and virtue
June 24, 2014 at 12:05 am #11405I just tried your suggestion, switched to french and it didn’t recreate your problem. When your on the edit page do you see any page errors if you click inspect?

June 23, 2014 at 4:21 pm #11392with the info boxes on that page you can add this css to set a min height:
This goes in the theme options > advanced settings.page-id-405 .kad-info-box { min-height: 250px; }For text boxes you can add inline styles. You don’t have to thats just another option.

OK-
sorry I’m a bit confused. I have page builder infor boxes. I don’t see anywhere to add css code to them.
When I switch to text editor and add css code whithin the area of the infor box and update – the added code is gone and no css changes happen. So I think I’m missing something obvious – sorry.
Thanks againIn forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Text box customize
June 23, 2014 at 4:07 pm #11388You can do it in the text box with inline css like this:
<div class="mycustomclass" style="border:2px solid #444; padding:20px;"> Add content here </div>with the info boxes on that page you can add this css to set a min height:
.page-id-405 .kad-info-box { min-height: 250px; }Ben

Hey- sorry to bother you again.
I’m wondering how to modify some of this stuff thru page builder or do I need to do al though the css – which is for the site.
Can I change css for just certain objects?I have some purple text boxes – I would like them all uniform size?
Do I do that within the text box or css code?Thank you again

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: add box shape around text box and menu tabs?
June 23, 2014 at 3:22 pm #11382You have to do all this with css. So in the theme options > advanced settings, you can add custom css for anything.
Add this for the text box on the home page:
.home .panel.widget .textwidget { border: 2px solid #444; padding: 20px; }This will effect the menu:
.sf-menu > li { border: 1px solid #444; }This will effect the FAQ
.panel-body { border: 1px solid #444; font-size: 12px; }Beb
