In reply to: Problem with SiteOrigin Page Builder and virtue
First off, Thanks for fantasticly fast reply! Great service!
I am not using other woocommerce plugins (as of yet, still building the site).
I have only activated woocommerce, pagebuilder and the sliders that came With Premium, and Jetpack. It does work when disabling pagebuilder. I have also had problems rendering the “on sale products” (no Products showing). Found a workaround in another thread here in this forum. (https://www.kadencewp.com/support-forums/topic/on-sale-products-slider-not-showing-my-sale-products/)

1. I’m embarrassed. I can’t see how to add Portfolio posts as a widget inside Page Builder but I think that’s EXACTLY what I want to do.
2: Here’s the html from the Visual Editor inside Page Buidler
<h4 style=”font-weight: 400; color: #444444;”>Gorgeous commissions handmade transferring your images & sentiments onto clay tiles & wooden shapes.</h4>
<h5 style=”font-weight: 400; color: #555555;”>[pullquote align=”center”]</h5>
<p>Why not treat yourself or have one made as a gift for someone special in your life.</p>
<h5 style=”font-weight: 400; color: #555555;”>[/pullquote]</h5>Doesn’t look like there’s anything left open to me ????

June 23, 2014 at 2:10 pm #113651. So it looks like your using a gallery, you can set a custom link for gallery images using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-gallery-custom-links/
You can also use [portfolio_posts] shorcode and add the portfolio items right to the home page without having to use a gallery.
2. Looking at the source code there is an extra div in there causing the layout to break. Check around the shortcode for the pullquotes. Make sure you don’t have a h5 tag left open.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben,
Hopefully my last two questions. Thanks so much for your help today
1. Here’s my home page: *Login to see link
Is there some way I can have it so the images when clicked will take the user directly to the Portfolio page for that item. I was looking at the ‘associated page’ link but can’t figure out how this work and not sure it’s compatible with your theme.2. On this dummy home page I’ve setup
….. the content is built with Page Builder. One row with two columns. The left column has text in it and the right the gallery. However, in the left column I’ve put some of the words into a Virtue Pull quotes Shortode. When I do this the Gallery is moved to underneath the text part instead of next to it.
Thanks squillions.

June 23, 2014 at 10:49 am #11345Hey syrine,
The home page tutorial is a good place to start.
The closest thing available in this theme is the blog grid layout, which you can see an example here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/blog-grid-four-column/You can hide the excerpt text with this css by adding to your theme options > advanced settings:
.kad_blog_item .entry-content { display:none; }To make this happen on the home page:
1. Make sure in the wordpress settings > reading. That your font page is the latest post page.
2. In the theme options > home layout make sure “page content” is added to the enabled list.
3. At the bottom of the theme options > home layout. Make sure “Use Post Grid Format” is turned on.Hope that helps,
Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi.
Please see this page
I’d like to have a little more control over the formatting of the wording about my portfolio item. In particular I’d like the bottom section to look more like.
Product Type: Cubes
Details: Gorgeous blah de blah….And ideally for the headings to align left and the content to all align left against eachother (as if they were tabbed).
Can you help?
Thanks

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Kadence Slider
Hi Ben!
1. I been playing a bit and once i removed the code i was using to keep fixed the top bar, it worked as the bar displays on the end of the slider now. Is there a way i can keep the bar fixed from the end of the slider & keep it fixed from there on and also on the rest of the pages? (i mean as it is on http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium-4/ as well) I was using:
.topclass { position: fixed; z-index: 1000; width: 100%; }2. Definitely I will start to study the revolution sliders but still a bit hard to me; so i will try to carry on with the kadence for this minute and once i finish build that i will have a go and play with revolution possibilities.
3. I sent the link via email.
as you ”moved” the logo & navigation bar into the topbar, in the example http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium-4/ what is the code i can use do the same?4. and what the css code i can use to remove the arrows (left and right) to change the sliders?
* pics – thanks i like that new image stock you just teach me! Is the icons you using on the front of your video on the page that follow from photodune.net as well? https://www.kadencewp.com/creating-a-home-page-with-virtue/
Super Thanks

June 22, 2014 at 12:18 am #11282Can you post a link to a page with the plugin in pagebuilder?
I just want to clarify. You aren’t using “background: BUTTON HOVER BACKGROUND;” in the css right? you’ve changed that to an actual color?
Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeJune 22, 2014 at 12:07 am #11280If you just want an image with a link and no hover effect you might be better off just adding it in the page content using pagebuilder and the virtue: image widget.
But you can remove the hover with this css too:
.home-message:hover { background: transparent; }You can have the title text change. Did you want the background to change or a font color?

In forum: Virtue ThemeHello, I’m having a difficult time figuring out why the contact form on my site is not sending emails. I have the most up-to-date virtue premium theme and am not using a child theme. Any help would be great. Thank you, Here’s the URl: *Login to see link
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: Blank Theme Options
When I tried to change some of the Theme options, the right column with the options is blank, but I can see the buttons on the left. I installed the plugin IThemes Security and was adjusting (read: messing) with the options with that. It was after I made the security adjustments that I was able to see the Theme Options and I even changed one of the links of the buttons on the home page and clicked “Save Changes.” It was after it saved the changes that I was greeted with a blank options area.
The errors I saw in Chrome were:
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected identifier pickusottawail.com/wp-admin/load-scripts.php?c=1&load%5B%5D=jquery-ui-core,…iris,wp-color-picker,jquery-ui&load%5B%5D=-accordion,thickbox&ver=3.9.1:49
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'keyCode' of undefined pickusottawail.com/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/themeoptions/assets/js/redux.min.js?ver=1403399467:2The website is pickusottawail.com and I’m using a child theme for Virtue.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
