I did a quick look in the forums and did not find this. I would like to know how I can customize other error pages than 404
(which I found in Virtue WordPress them), full list below of what I am looking to customize. thanks,

400 — Bad Request
401 — Unauthorized
403 — Forbidden
404 — Not Found
500 — Internal Server Error

Hi Ben,

I hobbled this from something I found online, but it isn’t working. I am trying to adjust the sidebar menu widget to highlight the active page. This is what I used, are you able to tell me where it goes wrong?

Hi Ben,

Hi,

I wish this post can be helpful to whom is using qTranslate and got weird behaviour in the home page using Virtue Premium theme.

That’s important for anyone, the theme works very well with the newest WP 3.9 so if someone is using qTranslate I suggest before updating to WP 3.9 to follow these steps to avoid of having weird behaviours:

1-deactivate qTranslate
2-update your site to WP 3.9
3- Use FTP or the modify link and modify the qTranslate.php changing the reference version to WP 3.9 and also modify the qTranslatecore.php following the instruction found at this link
4-reactivate qTranslate. It works for sure I tested in 3 websites using Virtue Premium theme and qtranslate otherwise you get a blank home page with only the menu and maybe the revslider working.

Again I wish it is useful to someone.

Martin,
1. To have the blog columns work on the home page you have to set your home page as the lastest post page, then in the theme options > home layout > bottom of the tab. Set your blog columns.

2. The home page latest posts module is a little different, it’s set to 1 or two columns. If you want just to add four columns of your latest blog post use the carousel widget. Or carousel shortcode.

3. You can hide tags on any page with css. Just use the page class and add
.posttags {display:none;}

Yes, if you make the home page your latest posts page then the “page content” becomes the blog posts.

Hi Ben. I would like to make some adjustments to how the images display when you are looking at the category view.

Here’s a page I am referring to:

I would like to:

1- Remove the light grey color around the thumbnail (I want to make it blend in with the darker background color)
2- Remove the price (only want the price to show on the product page)
3- Remove the Add to cart button (only want add to cart on the product page)

Basically when you are looking at a category page, I only want the thumbnail and product title to be displayed. Is that possible?

How did you make these small icons for the date, author, category and comments on the blog page? Ah, I just played around with your example blog – seems like these icons are automatically in the two, three and four column design.

Is it possible to take the tags away from the blog page? I think it’s enough to see them in the blog posts.

And antoher issue concerning the blog.
It seems like you have the option to choose between one or two columns for the Blog News on the main page. I would prefer to have maybe the four last Blog headers together with a small picture. I think that would look good in four columns. Is that an option for your theme? Maybe something for one of the next updates?

Just tested it and it’s not working … strange.
There is also a sidebar on the blog which I don’t want to use. I said not to use the sidebar on the blog page, but it’s still there …

I have tried, ‘Settings>Reading>’ and changing the Front Page to my blog page, but it does not seem to be working correctly.

Hi there. On the testimonial page, could you assist with the following:

– Can I change the default testimonial font from italics to normal please?

– There is a huge white space gap between the title of the page and the testimonals below it. Is there anyway to change this please?

Hey,

So here’s my situation, i just added some custom sections into the homepage, but some of the content is responsive and some of it is out of order as in width. So some parts show up out of place on my mobile. How can i add responsive width to the sections that i added so the whole entire page can all be on one accord. What css code could i add?

Also i pulled the div from portfolio page and added it on my homepage, but cant seem to center it. I even tried wrapping it and using (margin auto)…it shows up fine, just cant center it. Do you know the exact div???

Sorry for all the questions..i been up since 5am coding.

I’m not using easy media gallery on that page, but scripts of this plugin are loading on every page and there is no option to enable it only on specific pages. Carousel disappear also when you enable firebug on that page or other web developer tool to investigate any element.

Hey,
What do you mean by static page? Are you wanting a certain page template to take into effect? Because the theme doesn’t work that way. It uses a template file front-page.php which doesn’t allow a page template to take effect.

Or if you just want the page content to show up did you enable page content in the theme options > home layout?

I have just upgraded to WordPress 3.9 however the Static Front Page option doesn’t seem to be compatible with the Virtue Premium (I have the new version 2.3.4 as well). The rest of the site work fine, my home page isn’t showing up no matter which page I set it on. http://www.sbeverfit.com

I have tried the process of deactivating all of my plugins but it doesn’t make a difference.

I temporarily switched over to another theme in which the static home page does show up which is why I’m thinking there is an issue with the theme.

Do you have any suggestions on what else I could try?

I’ve got a workaround in place for isotope so I can’t image it that, it also isn’t showing any errors in the js console… Are you using a easy media gallery on that page?
