Hi there!

I’m trying to add a product box, like this, to my pages:

I tried using the “Info box” module, and it comes pretty close for what I’m after, but there’s a few things which are lacking:

– Can’t adjust the width of the columns (e.g. for if I’d like to make the image section more prominent)
– There seems to be no way to add your own blocks within the box
– Can’t add additional columns
– No way to add colored labels like “Our choice” etc

What I’m trying to do is rebuild the product boxes from another site of mine:

Is there by any chance a different way to do this? All I need basically is the ability to put a border, like the one from the info box, around a row with a few columns….

To confirm, are you updating before reloading the preview page? It is possible that this was the cause of changes not being applied right away on the preview page.

I can see that you’re using the Kadence theme, but your topic is submitted in Virtue Theme. Kindly post topics on their corresponding boards next time.

For the archive page – I saw that there must be a custom CSS added that makes the content container’s padding to 0 – https://share.getcloudapp.com/2NuEqQzE. Kindly remove that so there will be space on the left side.

For the single post – kindly add this custom CSS in Customizer > Additional CSS to see if it will achieve the look you’re after:

  .single-post article {
    margin-left: 20px;
  }
}

To update the Ascend theme, I would like to buy a new license. However, I can no longer log into our website. The above errors appear.

You can buy the Ascend Premium license on this page. After that, log in to your account on this website and download the latest version of the Ascend Premium theme by going to the Product Downloads page > Classic Themes.

Afterward, you can rename the folder of the old ascend theme and upload the new version via FTP.

Hi. I’m using Virtue premium and having alot of issues with alidropship woo. Is theme ok with that plugin? Alidropship strongly suggests one of their theme’s but kadence seems to be able to do just about anything. So just curious if others have had luck with this. Is it temperamental? or if maybe i did something in the wrong order, or have some conflicting plugins. Appreciate any feedback, thanks! The site is a mess on the frontend showing many issues, but here’s the link: *Login to see link (Hey Ben!)

Warning: Division by zero in /home/customer/www/store.alympas.com/public_html/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/lib/kad_shortcodes/image_menu_shortcodes.php on line 110

And, every time I click “Update” after making changes on pages, the little box drops down saying if I leave, the changes won’t be saved… but I did just save… it comes up anyway…I go ahead and leave the page, and the changes seem to have occurred… but then a few steps later, and the page will revert back to prior to changes or just won’t make the changes at all… this is another one of the issues.

Thanks, Ben. I believe this must only be for the Kadence theme…is that correct? I’m using Virtue Premium and don’t have the Page Edit icon or settings that are described.

Hi, I know that you will probably say this is the fault of the plugin, but I’m just writing in the hope you may have come across this before, or in case you have any words of wisdom.

I’m using the theme on a website. I’m trying to install a fancy filter option (for customers to choose products by price, category, tag). I’ve bought ‘Product Filter for WooCommerce’ by XforWooCommerce. The filtering part works fine, but it does something strange. As soon as it is activated, it breaks the ‘Pagination’ or ‘Infinite Scroll’ on the shop category (archive) pages. It breaks both and replaced with a ‘button’ that says ‘Load’ – but this doesn’t work (it just links to # of the page).

It’s strange because it breaks all the shop category pages, even though the shortcode itself is not on these pages.

Do you have any ideas or workarounds for this? I really like the plugin as it does exactly what I want, and seems to work pretty slick. However if you know of any other plugins that do the same and work with Virtue, please let me know!

Hi,
You can’t trigger closing other accordions. You would need to use one accordion and then use custom css if you want the background to be different for specific panes.

You can add a custom ID or class for each page and use that to select it with css to force a different color.

Thank you for getting back to me.

Can you explain this more: “the category pages are all displaying posts listed with the “blog_grid” siteorigin widget”. How are you applying a widget to categories and why are you applying a widget to categories?

What I mean by this, is that I have set up a WP page called “Books”, then switched to the siteorigin editor, I’ve added a row, and the shortcode; “[blog_grid orderby=menu_order items=60 columns=2 cat=oldbooks]” – the effect of which means the blog posts for category “oldbooks” show on the page in a grid.

I would like to find a way to highlight the posts that are +7 days old by adding a “new” class to the blog grid title. My previously quoted function works fine on single posts / main blog page, but for some reason it does not work on the “oldbooks” posts displaying in the blog_grid shortcode page.

I suspect that the filter “add_filter(‘post_class’, ‘is_new_post’);” may not be getting applied when they are displayed in a custom blog grid ? I am wondering if there is a filter that I can use e.g. “Kad-before-post-title ” or something like that ?

Hi,
At the moment I don’t plan on adding an option for this. I don’t think it correct effects enough users to be an option that makes sense to add.

However, I am looking at making the theme smarter. Right now using the email option to add a social won’t really work well with a link to your contact page because it’s going to add the mailto: at the bringing of the link address. In the next update I’m going to make it so that the mailto is only added if the link is an email address and that if a link is used in the email social area it automatically won’t get a target blank added.

I am building a website for a client and it has a lot of sorting, because the products are toners (cartridge), which they have to be filtered by brand, type, serie and model of the printer. I would like to show the printer attribute with thumbnail on top of the shop page, so the people can see all the products, related to this printer. I am using Kadence theme with an Elementor page builder.
