Hello there,

I have one blog post where colours are changed to pink and blue for all web linked text; for example, Tag Cloud and footer widgets (e.g., pages, archives).

All other posts are good. This happened once before and it went back to normal, perhaps by some change that I made but didn’t realize it was fixing this issue.

Do you have any ideas on how I might fix this?

More importantly, I want to know how to add and remove conditions for displaying the sidebar. This is one example, but there are other needs as well.

In this example I need to hide the sidebar when the page is an event tribe tribe_is_event_query()

In the sidebar.php function file it describes these conditions, but I am unsure how to put this in the code. Do I need to modify the function, or the page.php template files.

I am using a plugin called The Events Calendar from Modern Tribe . When I place this in the theme, it shows the ‘Primary Sidebar’. Hello, thank you for the nice theme.
Can you help me with this please? When i hover over a picture on a portfoliopage it shows the title and the excerpt of that particular item. I would like to keep that information (semi-transparant)- so not only when hovering.( Because on a mobile device then it doesn’t show. Well, very short but only when you tap on it)

Hi,

I’m building a site with the premium version of the Virtue theme and I’m creating an “Icon Menu” for the home page. The theme options give me the ability to add a custom icon instead of using the icon set that comes with theme.

My question is, what file type should I be using when uploading a custom icon?

Well honestly I think if you want to hide menus then add the menus to the sidebar of the pages you want theme on. You can add a custom menu widget to the top of your sidebar and have two different sidebars. one for product pages and one for class pages.

If you want different menus in the header then you would need to use a plugin (i don’t know any that do this) or code two different menus and not use the wordpress system.

In the end why not use dropdowns for your two categories?

If I’m understanding my menus correctly – I have the 5 menus with the package and they seem like they show up on all pages.

My website used to just have shop display of product to buy but now I would like to almost separate the site for either “product buy” AND “classes offered”.
Therefore I would like the product menu (secondary) menu to show only for product pages and have a “Class menu” show up for the class side of the business.

I’m not a super programmer and prefer to use standard theme stuff if possible.
Something like home page shows 2 paths – product or classes – than depending on selection a different menu and pages would present.

I’m wondering if this can be done and best way? Would you recommend a child theme or just different menus on one site?

In the theme options > misc settings > footer copyright text just add the html for your link:

Hi Ben.

I downloaded the demo content but can’t see it on the home page – when the mouse hovers over a blank space you can see the URL appear and this is “click-able” – http://www.linhgraphics.com

What I mean by “not building a page” is that when using the Home page builder adding modules they are not appearing.

Hello!

I have just bought the theme and is trying to figure out how to make it do as I want 😉
I wonder if it is possible to add a maximum width to the context, but not effecting the width of the top bar header and the footer. I have the Revolution slider on the first page and would like that to be outside the maximum width constraint as well if possible.

There are no plugins installed yet, I noticed it is not just the theme options panel that is slow. When I go to do a preview of the site everything has a 5 sec delay. For ex. if I rollover a new page title in the navigation there is a 5 second delay before the background box shows up. Is the php setting something I can ask my web host to adjust? I have a vps and get free support for stuff like that.

If you can’t see the image then it could be an issue of size, Are you using small images? if so use a large one.

What do you mean by not building a page? Can you post a link?
What are you trying to add?

Started over Ben but it doesn’t appear to be working for me – still getting white screen – mouse pointer changes when “seeing” an image – when clicked on image is seen.

Home page layout – not having any luck with this either – not building the page

How do you reduce the transparancy of the text background on the home page image menu? Its white and very transparent by default. I’d like to reduce the level of transparancy so the text stands out more.

For some reason in Chrome the revolution slider keeps shifting up so that it overlaps the menu in the header. It doesn’t do it everytime you refresh the pagee but it happens at least 50% of the time. Doesn’t appear to be an issue in IE. Any clues on a fix? I’d rather not start padding the menu as it looks fine in IE.
