Topic: Icon Menu Size
Hi, Ben –
Thanks for all of your help so far you’re so responsive and the forum is so helpful. I’ve searched the forum but haven’t seen (or missed) an answer to this. Since I want custom icons, I’m using the home icon menu as my main nav on my homepage (this is a test site, very much still in the works: feedmecreativeclients.com). However, they’re a little big. I tried adding the following code to the custom CSS, but it didn’t help. Any other ideas?
.home-iconmenu a {
max-height: 200px;
}I also tried uploading icons at 200 x 200 px but that made no difference in the size.
Thanks!
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi,
I am just completing a project for a client at http://www.webtechsolutions.ca and they have requested that the images in the custom carousel on the home page, link to anchors in the content on the services page. I was able to edit the code in the content on the services page to insert the anchor names but I can’t figure out if there is a way to insert the reference link for the images in the carousel.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Changing to the external product did the job. I haven’t nor do I intend to set up links so that doesn’t come into play in my site plan. And I didn’t change any settings in shop page, so a ‘Read More’ button does not appear. I do recall though before I set items up as external product as you suggested if I didn’t have a price loaded yet, ‘Read More’ substituted in for the ‘Add to Cart’
The bottom line is this works for me, so no need for the css. Thanks again.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Main Menu dropdown not showing all links

Ok! Thanks so much for this translation!! I’m gonna call this resolved. Then I’m gonna ask my question about which template is which in a new question.
(I had found on the Page page that once I choose blog then some options open, so I was getting there, but you’ve helped with clarifying for me about the single post page.)In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Gap between secondary meny and revslider
February 10, 2014 at 12:20 pm #4347Once you save the page with the template set to feature they will show up.
This has steps: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue/#featurepage

February 10, 2014 at 12:14 pm #4343The only way I see to do what you want is to hide the navigation for your home page with this custom css:
.home #nav-main { display: none; }Then for the icon menu to move above the slider you actually need to think about it in reverse. Make the slider below the icon menu so using the rev or cyclone slider add the slider shortcode into the home page content area, Then in the theme options have the page content area right below your icon menu.

hm. maybe i’m not. It shows as a grid on the portfolio category page, but I can’t find anyplace for a subtitle to go. There is a field for category description in the portfolio category editor- surely I could add code to a page template to make it display if there is content there?

February 10, 2014 at 11:34 am #4332Since you are using pages can you add the category description to the subtitle of the page? That should do what you want.

February 10, 2014 at 11:24 am #4327Ok, Let me try and make sense of this.
For your blog page with no sidebar create a blog page by following this tutorial : https://www.kadencewp.com/creating-a-blog-page-with-virtue/
The to make the archive and category pages have sidebar set the option like you did in the theme options for BlogCategory/ArchiveDefaults
To create more sidebars there is a place in the misc settings of the theme options to add more.
This refers to the single post page: ThemeOptions/BlogOptions/BlogPostDefaults/BlogPostSidebarDefault so doesn’t effect the pages that show more than one blog post.

Thanks for your quick response to my question.
Oh wow, no, I did not know PageNavi was built in: that is terrific! This theme never ceases to amaze me. You have really spoiled us with this one.
No, as long as I have the pagination like Page Navi I’m good to go.
Thanks Again,

February 10, 2014 at 10:54 am #4320You can adjust the order of how the tabs show in the theme options > shop settings. bottom of that page.
Does this fix your issue?
