In reply to: Header/Logo Style Question
Thanks for the help but I’m not quite getting the look I want (I’m still getting used to the Kadence theme). How do I add the nav menus on either side of the sticky element? Why is there a gap between the element and the top of the page? I’m testing this in a staging environment and I can’t seem to make it work the way I want (I’ve spent over an hour trying so far).
Here are the sites I’m working with:
Live Site (with the scrolling header I want to duplicate): https://teamscarborough.com/
Staging Site (where I am trying to recreate this header): https://teamscarborough20.d.wpstage.net/ (Username: blogvault/Password: 4f97f6aa)I’d very much like to migrate this client to the Kadence theme this week (I know it’s tough with the holidays, but hopefully I can get this figured out pretty quick!)
Thank you again for all of your help!
Kindest regards,
Jennifer
In forum: Virtue ThemeHello,
At the moment I am fine-tuning my website (www.photoreplay.nl).
I would like to swap my featured image with my page title and the date of the blog post.
The page title and date should be at the top of the blog post and only then the featured image followed by the text.
Is that possible to adjust this? With kind regards,

I checked the YouTube tutorials as well, but I’m probably using the wrong language.
I’m building a simple blog with “latest posts” set for Homepage settings. I would like to insert a picture or graphic between the Archived Posts and the Header but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to do that within the theme.
I attached a picture and you can see the Archived Posts start just under the bottom border of the bottom row of the Header. In that space is where I’d like to break things up with a pic or graphic.
Can that be done within the theme (I now have Kadence Pro) or do I need to reinstall Gutenberg or Elementor?
Or do I need to build a static homepage separate from the blog archive and use that?
None of the Starter Templates are what I’m looking for, to the point I’m closer to what I want starting from scratch than trying to edit a template, if that makes sense.
Really appreciate any help with this. And any language lessons, too, if I phrased my problem in a confusing or misleading way.

Hello Parker,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
If you want to show the sidebar generally on all pages, go to Customizer > Page Layout, select Left Sidebar or Right Sidebar layout, and select Sidebar1 on the Page Default Sidebar option. If you want to show it on specific pages only, you can do that as well by following the steps in this article – https://kadence-theme.com/knowledge-base/customize-settings/how-to-setup-page-post-settings/.
Here’s a screen recording for your reference – https://share.getcloudapp.com/yAuZQJqg.
Hope this helps and let us know if we can assist you further.

In forum: Kadence ThemeDecember 22, 2020 at 4:34 am #261955Regarding 1. Can you please add a function that check if Checkout page is available? And if not hide the Checkout Button from displaying in mini cart? I ask because for catalog mode plugin in Woocommerce Checkout page is not necessary: for example: https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-product-catalog-mode/14518494
Yeah I know I can hide it with css, but it would be more elegant if it works out of the box. Checkout page not there? Don’t output checkout button.

Hi Hannah …
Thanks for responding. Unfortunately this only shows up (sometimes) the first time the site is viewed. I can’t make it repeatable. I usually use chrome on both my Mac and iPad. I just tried Safari on the iPad and the problem showed up, only to disappear after navigating to another page. It all works after that. Several of my testers have reported the same issue, which clears after reloading the page or navigating to another page. I don’t know what computers or browsers they use. Doesn’t help much, I know.
Peter.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Exclude Coupon
I know I can block the product from coupon codes in Woo. but I wanted the whole field gone because..
The reason I want to hide it is that I give out coupons regularly as bonuses, if the coupon field is on this particular product checkout where I am not allowing any coupons people will try to add those codes and then when it does not work, I will get emails asking me why they can’t use their coupon and I wanted to avoid that altogether.
I do not think that plugin will do that.
It’s okay, I can just put a note on the sales page that no coupons are allowed for this product, I guess this is my best option at this point.

In forum: Virtue ThemeI’m currently building a database for a theatre using the Pods framework and Virtue Pro theme. I’ve created two new custom post types in Pods (productions and artists) which have multiple relationships (productions have functions/credits, e.g. director, choreographers, etc; artists get 2-way links to “production credits”, thereby building a history of all of the productions that they participated in ). I use the built in Virtue Portfolio post type to build a grid of seasons, with a Pods shortcode to build the list of productions on each portfolio page.
The portfolio and pods CPT’s all use featured images so I can display thumbnails for both the portfilio grid, and for pods-template listings. I’m still fairly early in the development and the system exists only on my localhost, which is MAMP Pro running: WordPress 5.6, PHP 7.3.3 under Apache amd Kadence Virtue Theme 4.9.31 with a child theme.
So far, I’ve noticed two featured images have disappeared from the localhost site. One was on an Artist CPT post that pods created, the other was associated with a Virtue Portfolio post. The featured images are still in the upload directory, but the attachment link in the wp_posts table seems to be gone. They don’t show up in the Media Library either, though static links in page HTML still work.
Any thoughts? I’m posting the same issue with PODS….

December 21, 2020 at 7:08 am #261906Hey,
It appears you have set the single post to load a carousel but you’ve not assigned images for that carousel and that creates an error. Please go to theme options >blog posts and under “Blog Post Defaults” and look for the setting “Blog Post Head Content Default”.
Set that to none or image. Then save and reload.
Once you have that done let me know if your posts will load.
Also, I can’t log in to your site without knowing your logo page so it’s easiest if you can send a login link: https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Testimonial Page & Slider
Hi Keith,
Thanks for reaching out, and apologies for the delay!1. Have you tried re-saving your permalinks? You can do this by navigating to Settings > Permalink and clicking Save Changes. Let me know if the issue remains.
2. Can you link to this page? Thanks!
3. The Virtue Testimonial Carousel widget should work for this. In the widget settings what do you have “content” set to? You should also be able to create this using the kadence testimonial block https://www.kadenceblocks.com/testimonial-block/
Kindly,

December 20, 2020 at 10:16 pm #261896Hi guys,
I’m using the Kadence theme and wanted to create a sidebar navigation tool on the website I’m building so that visitors can quickly find other products in the site and/or reach out and contact the host.
Under Customizing>General>Sidebar the toggle for “enable sticky sidebar” is turned on. I have gone through and changed all the default transparency settings to a solid color. I have also created a navigation widget under “Sidebar 1” and enabled it. No sidebar exists anywhere on my website. In fact I have no idea how to even edit it to select which pages it appears on. Is anyone else having this problem or just me? Whenever I look for a solution the thread either dead ends or the recommended method to fix it doesn’t exist in my HUD. If there is a better way to create a sidebar navigation list I am all ears.Appreciate any help
Parker
