Is there any way to use a standard hyperlink to open your Video Popup block? On this page: *Login to see link I want to link each item in the icon list (i.e. Activate student account and check your KMail) to a popup video that will walk them through how to perform that step. I hope it’s possible to do this, but I can’t see how to do it. Thank you for your help.

a. I’m gonna look into this. I’m not entirely sure I want to have another offcanvas area, to me that would create more confusion for users. I’ll be thinking.

d. I think a size is fair to consider.

c. Just so you are aware post can style breadcrumbs as well and differently than pages. Perhaps a default setting might make sense?

Hi Mike,
Ascend Theme allows you to insert header and footer scripts, but to add a header script to a specific page you can use a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/header-and-footer-scripts/

Hi there,

I know I can use custom css or some workarounds with elements for all this but I think that would be good options for all.

A) I want to have the same Toggle-Menu styling on desktop which I have for tablet/ mobile:

1. Approach:
– Using “Toggle Widget Area” on Desktop and add a Navigation widget.
-> the line height is overwritten.
And it’s a bit limited: No active menu color etc.

2. Approach:
– Header -> Design -> “Screen size to switch to mobile header”
-> I want to set it to 4000px or something even higher to display the mobile header all the time. But the field is limited to 2000px. My screen is bigger :).

Possible Solution:
– Why not adding same “Off Canvas” area and a trigger element to Desktop Header like in tablet/ mobile view? And give the “Off canvas area” responsive options for Desktop, tablet and mobile. This would cover my point “B) close toggle” also.
– Add the trigger element to desktop view. Give the trigger element responsive options for Desktop, tablet and mobile. This would improve the trigger element also. Because at the moment you can not use different text size etc for tablet and mobile.

This would be much more user friendly than using the “Toggle widget area” element. There would be no need to remove that element. So Kadence Users have both options… and 2 independent off canvas areas ;)…

B) Close toggle:
There is no option for close toggle size (Desktop: “Toggle Widget Area”; Mobile: “Trigger”). Only changing the color is possible. But it is very small and should be adjustable.

C) Breadcrumbs:
It’s a bit complicated to find the design options for breadcrumbs.
“General -> Breadcrumbs” -> Please add a “Design” link or something similar to: “Page Layout” because there you can find colors etc. for breadcrumbs.

What do you think :)?

In the Ascende Theme, Demo *Login to see link the clickable buttons “Demo Site” and “Features”, are they Premium feature only, or available in the Free version as well?

I ask because my client website is using the Free version of Ascende (Havent got info back back from them, on if they will agree on buying the Pro just yet).

Hi Hannah,

I removed the sidebar entirely from my site since it wasn’t working, thus providing a link won’t help you see the problem I’m talking about. However, it’s very easy to replicate the issue:

1. Enable the sticky side-bar in Kadence settings
2. Open any Tutor LMS course and go to a lesson –> The scroll to top button disappears! Not in a course landing page, but an actual lesson. The scroll to top button isn’t there!

Please fix this issue.

Yes, it is turned on. The Kadence recaptcha plugin does NOT actually add the recatpha onto the login forms provided by RCP (restrict content pro). Their support team (iThemes) told me to look at this article to solve the problem:

Hi Walter. We do have a bit of code that you can use to add reCAPTCHA to your login page. <– From iThemes Support

I added the github code to code snippets, and the recaptcha appears. However, I think this code could easily be added to the Kadence recatpcha for people using the RCP plugin so that they wouldn’t have to do this workaround, and have to reach out to support from another plugin developer.

Hello,

My client has requested that a CTA with a form be added to the main Blog page on their website, similar to the one on the Home page for *Login to see link (see attached screenshot). I am using SiteOrigin Page Builder and have added a row to the page, but it is not showing up. I have checked all of the settings on the page as well as the theme settings for the Blog and the page builder settings and have not been able to locate a setting that would allow the row that I’ve added to be shown on the page. Can you advise whether this is in fact possible to do, and if so, how?

Hello,

Hi Howard,

There is no built-in function at that for the moment. If you would like to make a feature request for this you can do so here: https://www.kadencewp.com/roadmap-blocks/feature-requests/

You can, however, use css to show/hide specific designs for specific pages.

I just made a 74mb 1 minute video for my homepage slider.  I want this to start playing automatically when the site loads up, on mobile and desktop.

Can you help me understand which option is better from a best practices, speed optimization standpoint?

1. Should I upload this mp4 file to the website directly? I am using WP ROCKET Paid plugin if that matters?

2. Should I upload this mp4 file to youtube, and then embed the link?

.single-content h1, .single-content h2, .single-content h3, .single-content h4, .single-content h5, .single-content h6 {
margin: 1.5em 0 .5em;
}

Later Headings behave as expected. I understand I can set margin to 0 on this at a block level or custom css. BUT I am wondering what is the purpose of this setting and if this is a global setting in the theme that I can change?
I have searched in the obvious places: Typography, Layout, Page Layout and I can’t find this setting anywhere.

Not sure if you can compare themes but Blocksy recently came out with their pro model and I am shocked to see there are a number of things missing from Kadence that was included with Blocksy. While I can appreciate the extra plugins and Gutenberg blocks there are a number of things that Blocksy does right that I hope you will consider.

Here are a few things that I think matter:
multiple Headers which allows different headers on different pages using conditions
Duplicating header elementors/headers
Better header elements such as dividers, language switcher and desktop menu drawer
Icons in menus
display conditions for sidebars
white label
