The website was developed following this standard, 2 years ago more or less. The product team frequently adds new images to galleries. It is easier for them to add images to the gallery, without the need to add a Gallery widget each time they add the second image. Also, there are many many pages with galleries with only one image on this multilingual website. For those reasons I’m not considering removing those galleries with only one image and I hope we can get the site working the same it was before the last update.

We increased the php memory limit from 256M to 512M, as suggested by your support team by email.

The pages with galleries with only 1 image are still very long to load.

Hey Amy,
Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, there isn’t a built-in function for this. Either of the options you mentioned would work great. Or you could use a hook to add an element to specific pages. See here: https://webnolo.com/hooked-elements-in-kadence/

I’m editing the cart page now and there are two things worth mentioning:

– I had to style it like WooCommerce’s default setting (cart summary and totals stacked verically, totals floating to the right) because of the theme’s incompatibility with the Smart Coupons plugin (from the official WooCommerce store). It inserts an element above the summary that misaligns it with the cart, vertically. This isn’t necessarily a huge problem. Given that I just changed the layout with CSS to default WooCommerce one. But I could see this being an issue with more plugins that show notifications on the cart page.

– More importantly, though. I’m not sure if this is a bug or whether I’m missing something as it relates to how cross-sells are displayed. But it only displays them as 1 column. With a huge image. Taking up the entire lower part of the cart page. I tried to see if adding more cross sells to a product would decrease the width of the archive item/image, by adding more in the same row. But it actually just inceased the number of columns, not rows.

– – What’s certainly a bug though, is that it display cross sells not only below the cart totals, but also above them, albeit smaller, when I’m in my page builder. It displays fine in the front end though.

Hi, When making changes in the Customizer (Design panel for various layouts e.g pages, custom post types etc) changes made to breadcrumb font color can be selected and saved in the color picker but once published the changes do not take effect and revert to inherited font color. Many Thanks

Hi! I have a page set up with site origin page builder, and now I realize that a part of the page I would like to have collapsable. Is there a way to add an accordion block and then drag parts of this page into it? Or do I need add an accordion block and add everything new to the block. Also, the page is set in columns. Do I make a row with columns and add the Accordion block, or just make a single column, add the block, and then just worry about making columns within that block.

Hi Ben,

Just letting you know that there is a similar problem on archive page if you have display meta:author photo but no photo has been added, as it ends up with a blank space. I guess easily overcome by telling all authors to upload image.

Hi,
Well, in that case, what will be the point to create a custom blog page if ultimately we will fall on the default blog archive page!

As you know, we do not have enough options to customize the archives except to change the number of columns or to change the Image Placement to Top or Left.

This is the reason, I want to use a custom blog page instead of the default one, where I have more control over customizing the design with the help of Kadence Block.

Please advise, if there is any way to keep the custom archive page separate from the default archive page.

Ben, I’m trying to do a similar thing. I’ve got an Advanced Button on my homepage (that originally opened an external link to a donation PayPal page). I now want it to open a modal to give users a choice of two different ways to pay. However, I can’t seem to configure the Advanced Button properly.

Basically, the modal URL should be: #DONATIONBUTTONS

And I’ve added modal-trigger as a CSS class in the Advanced/Additional CSS Class(es). However, it doesn’t work. Is there some way to make it work?

More broadly, I have donation buttons all over the site including buttons that are configured on Kadence slider, and using the Icon List Block. It would be great if all of the Kadence Blocks that support links could be configured to trigger the Modal Block. Right now I’m thinking I’ll need to add a 3rd party pop-up plugin, which I’d prefer to avoid.

Related to this, I have two other Advanced Buttons on my homepage, and I was looking to see if I could adapt the built in Modal link to look like an advanced button. Within the user interface of the block, you can get it to look similar, but not identical. For example you can’t specify a fixed width, a specific text size, or a shadow for the Modal link. It would be great if all of the blocks that support buttons allowed you to style them in a similar way so you can achieve consistency.

We have found a really good use for Elements which allows us, via a feature image shortcode and some css, to place the featured image where we want it so it can be a hero page banner. The only problem is that there is no placement/hook to insert it directly below the title bar on a page which has a sidebar. We can only place it above the title bar or in-page content areas.

Can you advise if this is possible?

That’s so odd, I think sometimes i get dizzy, I can’t recreate this on a simple page with paragraphs in columns. It’s not important but I think the carousel may be adding some space there or some sort of illusion from somewhere else as from what I can gather, it only has a 25px top padding so the gap should only be 25px and not 70px. Feel free to mark as completed if you don’t want to look into this as i can work out the spacing by compensating for the additional unexplained space there.
