Hello everyone, I am using Kadence pro and pro blocks and when adding Blog Grid/carousel I am unable to update the page I am working on.
The page throws up a default message…. Updating failed. Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0
I am loading the grid inside a row.
The page looks OK and all the blog post do display. But once you load the Grid nothing further will save.
Thanks
In forum: Kadence BlocksHi Dave,
Sorry for the delay! Is there a way to set individual “in-page” block defaults permissions?
There isn’t a way to do this as of now. I’ll talk with the developer and see if this is something he plans to add.
Thanks for reporting the bug! I’ll make sure this gets taken care of.
All the best,

Hi Chris,
Of course – and thank you! If you go to:
https://nordicfunction.dk/shop-nordic-function/
or
https://nordicfunction.com/shop/
And choose a random product, you will see the two sliders in the bottom of the product page.
Best regards,
CamillaIn forum: Pinnacle ThemeDear all,
I’m having a problem with the Gallery widget on one of my pages. I have included the settings in the next screenshot.
As you can see, the navigation arrows are offset to the bottom of the page, far away from the gallery images.
Any idea what can cause this?
Kind regards,
Riens Middelhof

The design option tab is missing on all the CPT pages/archives in the customizer. In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Customizing the default author’s byline

I am trying to get the best layout across devices for the tabs on a page. I’m getting quite close by tweaking the Tab Title Padding left and right (using percentage is a little hit and miss with wrapping). However I really need to be able to access separate settings for mobile and tablet. Is this something that may be considered for future releases or if not, how can I over-ride the desktop settings at different breakpoints?
thanks
In forum: Kadence ThemeHi,
I have added a top menu (with primary and secondary assigned) but when navigating child pages, I’d like a side-menu displaying the sections pages (parent and 1st/2nd level child pages). I don’t want to display all top-level pages in the side menu, just the relevant child pages. Is there a global way to achieve this without having to create multiple menus and assigning individually to pages?
thanks

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Repurpose Footer Menu as Secondary Menu
September 15, 2020 at 12:47 pm #256924Hey,
I believe you are looking for a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/different-menus-in-different-pages/It would allow you to assign a menu to the secondary menu, then on a specific page choose a different menu to show in that spot.
To clarify what Chris was suggesting, you can add a navigation menu into the content of your pages, for example, check out the core nav menu widget. So as an alternative you could not set the secondary menu and add your own menu into the content of your pages which would allow you to change them on a page by page bases.
Does that make sense?
I hope that helps!
Ben
In forum: Kadence ThemeSeptember 15, 2020 at 12:34 pm #256922Sure thing – It’s all behind a login – I’ll send that in a private reply.
But just FYI – I thought it would be the anchor links too — so I tested. Standard anchors on a page were working just fine (FYI) … so that’s when I broke down and submitted this post…made no sense.
Anyway — I’ll put a private reply with a dummy user so you can see …
Thanks,
PhillipIn forum: Kadence ThemeSeptember 15, 2020 at 12:29 pm #256920Well it leads me to my next question, can you send me a link to your site so I can see why those links were interpreted as anchor links 🙂
This isn’t something you should have known an anchor link
#anchoris designed to target and ID on the current page or another page on your site.https://www.rapidtables.com/web/html/link/html-anchor-link.html
so the theme can look for those and allow the scroll to them to be smooth and also provide an offset if a sticky header is being used.
What I need to see is why you have links that would be using this format but not calling an anchor on your page.

September 15, 2020 at 12:19 pm #256915If you can post a link to your page I could look at the css but I think that would work just fine.

The icon list works on a regular WordPress page.
However, on *Login to see link is a LearnDash training (or course) page.
There and on the attached picture you can see that right now the alignment is wrong. Can you reproduce and fix it?

Hello,
Which builder are you using? This would be when editing the page layout itself. For example in SiteOrigin, you can add a row and then add a widget by the name of “Navigation Menu”. Then you select which menu you want to display.
Let me know if that helps!
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Repurpose Footer Menu as Secondary Menu
Hi Chris,
Thanks so much for the prompt response, but I’m afraid I need a more micro walk-through.
Here’s my level of understanding:
Virtue Pro supports 5 menus in different locations.
I don’t see a way to add another menu on the Menu page in the Dashboard to be used as a Secondary Menu on specific pages.
Can you give the specific terminology of the dashboard/theme section(s) where I could add and style an additional menu, and then add this menu to specific pages?
Thanks!
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Repurpose Footer Menu as Secondary Menu
Hello,
One option you could use instead of menus is tabs, but if you need to add more menus, you can certainly add menus with the page builder in the site layout and that should work. You may just need to style them to display as you need.
Let me know if that’s what you’re looking for.
Thanks!

Hello,
Ah, so you’re using the classic editor. Okay, so you can still build a page with blocks, but you would put a few or single siteorigin layout in a block, and from there you can also use the blocks from kadence to get the new gallery type. Essentially you would need to rebuild the page in blocks for that to work. I apologize for the confusion there.
Let me know if you need anything else!
