I bought the plugin. Celement it displays the button only in the shop page and the categories. I cannot find how to display the button on the product sheets, at the top left, for example.

that shortcode would only work with some themes, for example not our new Kadence Theme.

The workaround to adding a block into a widget area right now is to use this plugin which allows you to build a reusable block but then add it to a page via a shortcode:https://wordpress.org/plugins/reusable-blocks-extended/

Hey,
You would need to choose none there, then in your page add a section with a background image, typed text, subtext and button.

You can add the typed text using a shortcode:

Apologies, Grace! The shortcode doesn’t support categories. If you’re wanting to add a testimonial carousel limited to a specific category you could use the Virtue: Testimonial Carousel widget. But you would either need to paste this into a widget area (ie sidebar, footer, etc.) or use a page builder plugin that allows you to add widgets to your page.

Is there a way to remove the featured image code from the post/page layout if no featured image is detected? As things are, the layout leaves a huge gap for inserting the featured image – even if the post/page does not have such an image!

Surely it would be better for this part of the layout to be conditional on there actually being a featured image available? If there is no image, then remove that part of the layout.

Perhap we could use a code snippet to do this?

I’m using Foobox as my lightbox. I can code a hyperlink to have a form or table or other html elements load in a Foobox modal box. I’m wondering if there’s any way to do the necessary coding using the Kadence advanced button block. Currently I’m coding it manually in a custom html block, but would love to be able to use your advanced button block instead.

Here’s an example that’s on this page: *Login to see link The four button styled hyperlinks right below the breadcrumbs.

Below is my custom html code. In particular, the two hyperlinks styled as buttons that call Foobox are the Request Info and How to Contact Us buttons. For the link to open in the Foobox modal box, added to the href tag must be a call to a hidden div ID along with a target of “foobox” and data-width and data-height parameters. And for accessibility I add in an aria-label.

For my situation, I am not interested in linked, i.e. global colors and not in Elementor nor any other page builder, including Kadence Blocks.

All I want is to be able to select the colors I have set up in CPP and to use them wherever colors may be selected. That’s it, that’s all 🙂

Please refer to the attached screenshots of what I mean which is from the Customizer in Astra with the Astra Pro add on plugin (perhaps this for Kadence Theme Pro 🙂 )

Because right now as it stands, I am having the darnedest time trying to accomplish what is in the screenshots with the Kadence theme without resorting to custom CSS. Maybe I’m missing something (quite probably).

Anyway, I tried to save and I got this message. “There was a problem with your action. Please try again or reload the page.”
After reloading and it still not working, I decided to try to change something else on a different Virtue setting and I am getting the same message when trying to save the changes. I am not sure if I need to reinstall the theme, but don’t want to do anything and lose all of my settings, so I thought it best to contact you all first. Thanks in advance!

I am having some issues with kt-icon.woff2 which I wondered if you could help with.

1. When I look at google page speeds, I see a suggestion to Preload key requests for …fonts/kt-icon.woff2?62sx4n. I have tried to implement this by adding the following to Theme Options > Header and Footer Scripts > Header Output:

<link rel="preload" href="/wp-content/themes/ascend_premium/assets/css/fonts/kt-icon.woff2" as="font" type="font/woff2" crossorigin>

I have tried with and without the query string for the font file and also tried crossorigin param in this format and crossorigin=”anonymous”.

It appears successful in as much that I can see it preloading in the source code but Google still suggests I preload this key request – sometimes adding as much as 2.5 seconds delay AND at the same time warns me “The resource *Login to see link was preloaded using link preload but not used within a few seconds from the window’s load event. Please make sure it has an appropriate as value and it is preloaded intentionally.”

Attached image is the Preload suggestion when preloading header is active.

So it seems to be preloading but I don’t know why it’s not being used. Can you shed any light on this?

2. I then searched the forums to see if this had come up before and saw that it was to do with icons. So I switched to minimal icons per the advice in one post (Theme Options > Misc Settings > Icons) to stop the file being used, purged caches and checked again, but the file is still being loaded and still suggests preloading.

3. Finally, I also get a warning about this in page speeds:

Ensure text remains visible during webfont load
Warnings: Lighthouse was unable to automatically check the font-display value for the following URL: *Login to see link

Can you suggest how I can stop this file loading altogether or ensure that it does preload successfully?

I have just installed Kadence Blocks Pro and when editing a new page WordPress freezes and I get a Socket Timeout error. My site is then off the air for 5 or so minutes.

For example, I select any Kadence block and within 1-2 minutes the editor freezes. If I select from the RH panel, as soon as the dialog displays (see screenshot) WordPress immediately freezes.

The problem is easily reproducible. I have tested it a half-dozen times.

Hi Randy,
There isn’t an option yet to add blocks to the header area. You could add a form block to the top of the content area of your site and style it so it looks as if it is part of the header. But you would need to re-create this for all your pages if you’re wanting it site-wide.
