Hi Daniel,
Make sure you have set the Post Format to “Image” from your post edit page. Then in Theme Options > Blog Options > Blog Post Defaults Image you can set the “Single Image Post Head Content” to “Image”.

It’s just a matter of what needs to come first, we’ve found that most users don’t use a testimonial submission form. Instead, they collect there own testimonials and put them on the page, using a block interface to add instead of another post type makes it really simple for people to add and edit testimonials in a visual interface and because you can make that one reusable block it’s easy to show them multiple places and manage them from one place.

So building first for what most people are looking for gets the priority. However, adding a post query block that can output in testimonial styles is something I have on my list. It’s just not very high.

You can, however, add a carousel or a grid of your testimonials posts using a shortcode so there is a current way to do it just not a block interface yet.

Hi Ben,

Thank you I think finding that new link in the update for reusable blocks has helped. I will go there to edit them… it would still be nice if I could do it on the page though. Hopefully that feature may come back some day 🙂

Hi,

I just wanted to use Kadence WooCommerce Elementor Pro for the first time.
I uploaded it to the Network-Installation Panel of my WordPress Multisite, but not activated there.
Then I switched to the Sub-Site where I intend to use the Plugin. Here I got the Info that I had to install the basic version first. I did like advised and activated the Kadence WooCommerce Elementor Plugin (from WordPress Directory).

The the following messages appeared:
“The following plugins have not been activated: Kadence WooCommerce Elementor Pro. Click here to activate.”

When I click on the activation link I get the message

(Translated: You are not authorized to access this site)

What can I do to activate and use your Plugin?

Stange is that my SEO-Plugin shows me the Info:
We have found a new post type (kt_size_chart) you should check your settings of Titles & Meta page and the Sitemap.

Doesn´t this mean that something is already installed?
I tried to deinstall (delete) the Plugin but the message remains.
How can I delete this post type again in case I do not want to use the Plugin anymore? (in case I get it activated at all – hope you can help me out here ;-)).

Hey,
In your settings > reading define a custom page as your static home page (that way the internal main query is not for blog posts) and then go to settings > permalinks and just click save, then try.

My homepage is set to show 6 portfolio items. I just created #7, and as expected, I got a “2” and a “>” to show the portfolio items on the next page. When I click on one of those, I get a 404. Here is a link to my blog:

Thanks for the fix, which did indeed suppress the category list on the public page. However, I still don’t see a control for Show Categories within the Below Title Meta tab, meaning I wouldn’t be able to choose to display categories for a different instance of that block on another page. Is that something that will be coming as part of the update? And do you know what the timing for the next update will be? Since this fix is on a Dev site, I’ll also want to implement it on our live site when we we push this block into production.

Hi Hannah, no I’m using the straight ascend theme. I don’t want to replace the add to cart. I was thinking of an additional button above the add to cart that reads “more info”. So ideally it would be a button that says “more info” under the image, then underneath that the word “or” then underneath that the “add to cart”. I may be overthinking it, I just hate thinking that people aren’t clicking on the image to go to the product page to read more about the item and not adding it to the cart cause they don’t know enough about it.

I agree. I am also looking at how I can add product dropdown filters across the top of the product archive page. @britner, is there a hook or filter we can target to insert the product filters on the Kadence theme? Thanks…

On this page some of the images in the gallery are distorted.

Im looking for the gallery to be random, and instead of squeezing the images into the various display sizes I would expect them to be cropped or if that is not possible is there another solution to improve the appearance.

Is there a setting I havent selected properly?

Hi there, I’m using the testimonials block in virtue. I have added a testimonial to the page, using the block editor, which is great. I’ve noticed that there are separate posts called ‘testimonials’ as well, like ‘pages’ and ‘posts’ but these don’t seem to be picked up by testimonial block. Am I right to think that testimonials are entered directly in as a block? And the ‘testimonial’ posts are redundant?

Otherwise the only way around it is to remove the cart link on mobile devices and add an icon that takes them to the cart page.. but the instant mini cart is pretty good 🙂

In the tutorial I’m being shown how to use the theme options and then a pagebuilder. I was hoping not to get into the weeds with a pagebuilder that would do everything for me and create confusing code. All I want is to create something simple so I can understand what I have done and change it easily.

This is very confusing for a beginner. I’m trying to put a portfolio on my home page and can’t find how to do that adding my own content. Do you have any updated tutorials?
