Hey,
If you import a demo you would need to update the content with your own content, once you updated then you wouldn’t have any issues.

In your theme options > home layout make sure you move “page content” to enabled. If you don’t then elementor wont’ be able to load.

Hey,
In customizer > blog posts > single post layout make sure you’ve set the page title to “above” and not in content. Then click on “design” and scroll down to the page title background, set up your background with a fallback background image. Then right below that turn on the option to pull the image from the featured image.

My favourite is Ascend Premium theme, but this time I’m using Pinnacle, because of some visual features. And I wonder, if there is a good solution for the followings (as with Ascend I could easilly solve them):

1. How can I set the transparency rate of Transparent header?
2. I’d like to use header style with Center logo. But site layout width is not wide enough for the menu items (4 menus on the left and on the right). Can I make the site wider?
3. I’ve imported the basic theme demo content (*Login to see link however I don’t need Woocommerce. If I turn off WooC plugin, the whole page disappeares. Why?

Sorry, for posts you have to turn off the comments from your edit page. Under the Discussion tab in the right column you’ll see a checkbox beside “Allow Comments”. Unchecking that will remove the ability to comment on that post.

Hi Frank,
When you go to edit a page you should see the option of choosing your editor before entering the page. Is this not the case for you? Do you have pagebuilder by siteorigin installed and activated?

Hey,
Go to settings > permalinks. At the bottom of that page click the “save” Button. That flushes the permalink settings. You will need to do this after major updates to keep WordPress all synced.

Hey,
You can add css like this:

@media (min-width: 1102px) {
.site .content-container .alignwide.post-thumbnail {
    margin-left: calc(50% - 50vw);
    margin-right: calc(50% - 50vw);
    max-width: 100vw;
    width: 100vw;
    clear: both;
}
}

Or you can set the page title to be “above” the content and then have the background pull from the featured image.

Hey,
Yes, you would just need to navigate to Settings > Reading and choose your new page as the front page (leave the posts page blank). Then navigate to Theme Options > Home Page Layout and enable Page Content in the homepage layout manager.

Thank you. I guess it was a caching issue on the two devices I tested this morning.

I got an e-mail with your “test” entries. I did not get a Mailchimp entry, but maybe Mailchimp is good at weeding out bogus email addresses.

I just tested it again after refreshing the webpage on my phone. I got the email and the Mailchimp.

Hi Colin,
Are you using the block editor? The Advanced Gallery block from Kadence Blocks allows you to style your captions this way and link your images to pages.
If you want to use the virtue image widget I would be happy to help you style the captions with some css. Can you post a link?

I created a website using the Ascend theme. Website is acumanity.com.

There is a Contact Us section near the bottom of the home page.

I created the form last week leveraging a Kadence Form integrated with Mailchimp. I think I copied it from one of the Kadence demo forms and added a field or two.

When I created and modified it, it worked when I tested it out. I got error messages when required fields were not filled out. And when I entered all the information correctly and clicked the “Contact Us” button, I would get: the success message below the button with “Thanks for contacting us! We will get back to you shortly.”, an e-mail sent with the information entered, and a Mailchimp entry in their database. I have three entries in Mailchimp for the three times I tested it out successfully.

This morning, I tested it again, and after clicking the “Contact Us”, it did not work. I do not get any success message, no email sent, and no entry in Mailchimp.

I don’t remember changing anything to that form.

Any help to debug is greatly appreciated.

You can turn comments off for pages from Theme Options > Page Options > Allow Comments on Pages. Let me know if that corrects this!

Reg. Jump links – Previously I have been able to make a jump link – here frontpage bottom – #cookie Cookies og privatliv – to https://5432-mr-pratt.mediesitter.com/salgs-og-leveringsbetingelser-cookies-og-privatlivspolitik/ – COOKIES OG PRIVATLIV <p id=”cookie”></p>. However, it is not working on this site.
Maybe it is because the front page is with blocks and the other with siteorigin page builder? – or?

Reg. Underlined links – My client would like links with no underlining. I have managed to remove some of them with the css advised in the support forum, but it is not possible to remove the once in the two boxes to the right – Kontakt + om ab. Can you help me?

Reg. Align footer text left on mobile – in the column 1 footer (The top long one – above footer 2-4) I have a layout builder with 3 columns and 3 editors – Can you help me align the text to the left on mobile version?

I’m looking for a simple way to display a fixed cation over an image. I need to link the image to a page, not a lightbox. I would like to be able to choose the font, background color, opacity and position of the caption overlay. I’ve tried a bunch of things but can’t seem to find the right option!
The Virtue Image widget would be fine if you could help me with the caption styling – a white background about 50% transparent with padding and a small, say 20px up from the bottom of the image.

I have created a new home page in Gutenberg and would like to use it instead of the default home page. In the past, I would just be able to switch the home page to a Static page and set the blog as another page. I haven’t been able to get this to work on the current version of Ascend. Is there any way to set a different page as the home page?
