In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Custom blog post headers
April 3, 2020 at 10:33 am #247194Hi, Hannah. Yes, I do have an image uploaded to Theme Options > Default Title Options. I have tried setting the blog title to appear in the header as well as having a blank custom title as default. In both cases, the default image does show up. With the blank custom default title, I can get the header image to show up without a title.
What doesn’t work are the custom fields on my individual (single) blog post edit page. I have not tried all the custom options. The ones I’m trying to use that are not working are:
1. Post Header Title
2. Subtitle
3. Background ImageI use these options when utilizing a Gallery, and they DO work:
1. Hide Page Title Area
2. Transparent HeaderSo, I can recreate this template model: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-2/have-less-do-more-be-more/ as long as I use a default image that will be the same for all posts. The blog title will match the individual post, or I can leave it blank and still get it to work. I would like to be able to recreate the linked sample with a custom image for each post.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIs it possible to change my home page on the Virtue theme to have a screen wide image but not use a slider? I want to have the impact of the wide image but I don’t want multiple images? My site is http://www.houndsconnect.co.uk

JoanneIn forum: Virtue ThemeApril 3, 2020 at 10:30 am #247192In Main Settings have reduced the bottom spacing to 0 on both the Logo and Primary Menu, but I still want to remove more space between the logo/primary menu and the banner beneath it. The spacing is fine once I scroll down the page and the menu shrinks but I would like for some of that spacing to be smaller prior to scrolling.
Here’s the website so you can see the spacing: *Login to see link

April 3, 2020 at 9:44 am #247186I see not found on desktop and mobile.
In your settings > reading. What page has you set for your static home page? Can you make sure that page exists and is public?

In forum: Virtue ThemeApril 3, 2020 at 9:42 am #247185Hey,
Your home page (how you have it set up and what you are displaying) is not really what the amp plugin is designed for. And I think it’s fair to say it’s not what amp is used for. Amp is mainly used for articles and is not supposed to (nor can it be) be a complete representation of your site. The amp code framework doesn’t allow a lot of things and this is why content is going to be stripped out. Also as a way to limit all that would make your page an invalid amp page the widget area and other models are purposely left off.
My suggestion is that you turn off amp for your home page. If you want amp to be used on your home page I suggest adding custom content specific to the amp users (I can’t think of any reason why you would get users on amp to your home page but if you did they would be coming for basic information written in an article). You can define custom amp content on the edit page.
I hope that helps!

In forum: Virtue ThemeApril 3, 2020 at 8:29 am #247180Hi team,
I am using demo #4 of your Virtue themefor my website. I did an import. There’s been a problem from the beginning with the mobile version. The home page shows ‘Not found’. Please take a look in a browser vs on mobile, you will see what I mean. I tried different devices so pretty sure it’s something in the theme. Responsinator too shows errors for smartphones and tablets. Could you please advise for the next step? No idea what could be wrong..
Thanks in advance!
LeilaIn forum: Ascend ThemeHi! I have this warning on my front page, with the theme of Ascend Premium.
Warning: Division by zero in /virtual/1.33.170.16/home/wordpress/wp-content/themes/ascend_premium/templates/content-loop-portfolio.php on line 99
The message shows up in one section (one photo) of the Mosaic gallery weirdly offsetting the height of a photo. It would be great if someone could help me out how I can solve this.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Hyperlink Text & Opening Links in new window
Hi Hannah
This is where the hyperlinks are set up – it is in the Business Directory plugin:
So for example on this particular entry, there are links to the text ‘India Shop’ and to “Honeystreet Handmade’ which are internal pages which should open within the same tab/window – this works fine.Listing edit screen with hyperlink box:

Further down the screen, there are user defined fields to go to the Moonraker Boats’ website and their Facebook page. These should be external links going to a separate window or tab. The URL and text is set in ‘user-defined’ fields that the installation sets up.
Listing screen user-defined fields:

Thank you so much for your help – let me know if you need any more information.

Hi Hannah
You can go to this page: https://www.visitpewseyvale.co.uk/business-directory-2/honeystreet-boats/
This is the screen shot:You will see that on the right of the screen, in the sidebar, there is a link to Website Privacy which is in pink, which is correct.
The text ‘Visit Honeystreet Boat’s website’ towards the bottom of the page, as well as the link to the Facebook page and the Categories are all links that should show up as pink but don’t. I have tried all permutations that I can find to try and get this to work, but have not been successful.I will do the set up of the hyperlinks separately.
Thanks
SusieIn forum: Membership ForumsHello Hannah and Plugger,
Hope you are doing well.
Woo Template Builder is a great plugin (like all Kadence’s) and it’s true that a template dedicated to the shopping cart would be very useful. Indeed the shopping cart page is a really very important part of the shopping funnel.
It would therefore allow you to reorganize the 3 main blocks as you wish, the product table, the cart totals and the cross-sells products, or to add new blocks of strategic information to optimize sales.
I think this template is missing for a lot of shop managers so probably this is already part of your long to-do list 😉
Afterwards, maybe I’m wrong, but I have the feeling that the priority of developments is rather focused on what concerns Gutenberg and Kadence Blocks, which I can understand perfectly well. Besides, in the long run, Gutenberg should become a real page builder. At that time SiteOrigin Page Builder will be strongly competed by the native WordPress tool.
Have a nice day and take care of yourself!
Sylvain
In forum: Membership ForumsHi Hannah, hope your well and safe,
Well the main block that lists the product would be good to have that in a left column, and then the totals block in the right column, sort of bring them up evenly together, rather than the cart totals down at the bottom of the page, some customers like to see the price and totals as soon as they go to the cart in our experience
something like this would be good
In forum: Ascend ThemeApril 2, 2020 at 6:41 pm #247155Hi guys,
I am updating and cleaning up my website, and thought since I don’t use WooCommerce, I’ll just deactivate it and turn it off. When I clicked the Deactivate button, a page loaded that said something like “website under maintenance.” However, after about 10 minutes, I just keep getting a page:
“There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.
Learn more about debugging in WordPress.”my site is *Login to see link
Wonder if there’s a way to reset the plugin, or fix it without reverting to a backup?
Thank you!
P.S. I renewed my membership today and think I completed the process to use the licensed version, but I don’t know how to confirm at this time.

April 2, 2020 at 3:40 pm #247143Ok in your page settings you’ve set the page feature area to be a slider, you need to change that to be an image.
See here: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/templates/feature-page-template/
Under the “feature” setting select box, set that to image.

In forum: Virtue ThemeApril 2, 2020 at 3:00 pm #247131Hello all.
I use Virtue Bold (premium) on my website, with the Kadence AMP plugin.
I just noticed that the amp plugin creates a version of my homepage that does not include any of the content assigned on the “Home Layout” or “Home Widget Area” tool areas. Is there an easy fix for this?
Links to follow (on the next window).
Thank you!
