Topic: Home page layout
Hi,
We’re using ‘Home Widget Area’, ‘Page Content’ and ‘Custom Carousel’ on the home page. We have the Module Page Content set to Photo and 3 post columns. It’s all working really well, but we’d like to limit the number of posts in the ‘Page Content’ feed to six (3 columns x 2 deep).
We found that if we restrict the number of Blog posts to 6 in ‘Reading Settings’ that works, but we would prefer not to have the extra content buttons that appear (I know, we’re fussy!) and also not limit the blog pages themselves. Basically, we really liked the look it had before we added the 7th post.
Is there a work around for this?

I realize I can fake this. But I’m really not interested in going through 200 or so pages, finding the featured images among the thousands I have uploaded, and re-titling everything.

I suggest you turn off your page title in the page settings, then add an image and h1 text with your page title into the top of your content.Ben

my config is : WordPress 5.3.2 running Virtue – Premium theme. No child premium..
the probleme is to be seen on that page : a portfolio page created as a portfolio grid.

I have done some manip I do not remmeber and the page porfolio do not work well anymore;it seems like a part of the code of ben is still active but not really well ; ( I have resintalled WP and the theme premium.. ) I tested onto other browser ;. nothing help …
I have tried a to create a new page portfolio and that’s the same ..
when on the page of the portfolio if you choose a type onthe filter menu you see behind appearing the items box excerpts…. strange …many thanks marc

I am looking to make some of my “Page” type content appear the same as “Post” type content.
I have most of my posts formatted as Image, so the featured image appears at the top, e.g.:

*Login to see linkI would like those Page types to appear the same as the Post types. When I select “Blog” as the template, it doesn’t have the desired effect, presumably because I can’t set it to be a image post?
Do I have to create a custom template for this, or is there a better way?

In forum: Virtue ThemeWell, I can’t move to Blue Host until my year is up with GoDaddy… GoDaddy will not prorate a refund. I would lose over $600. I can’t afford to do that. Maybe RevSider has something to do with the issue… It needs updating. Below is what I get when I go into RevSlider in the WP-Dashboard.

Whats New?In forum: Ascend ThemeI am experiencing an error on a page that uses the advanced gallery block a few times. I have roughly 80 images spread between 5 different advanced gallery blocks on a single page. I had the site on my local environment and then a testing environment before moving to the live site. As soon as I moved to the live site, the backend edit page (No issues on the front-end display of the page) would throw console errors (error 500) on the images in the galleries. It would then turn into 404 errors as it timed out. when I clicked on the lines in the console with the errors it would tell me I had a 401 error and I reached more than the “max_user_connections”, which seems to be a MySQL error. I’m guessing that the different environments have different # of max_user_connections and the live environment is set at the lowest. I’m on a shared environment, so they’re not being very helpful. Do the advanced gallery blocks make a lot of database calls? Is there anything I can do to reduce the number of calls without changing the look of the page?

Hey,
You can select the Basic Slider from Theme Options > Home Page Header then you can choose “Images in Carousel” as the Basic Slider Type.

I’m not seeing the homepage content on your specific designers page. What browser are you using? Can you send a screenshot?

Reload your theme options page before you save something again, it appears you had a tab open and saved which overrode what I had saved.
Icons don’t have a weight like that, you can use a different icon through for example I changed it to “kt-icon-angle-down”

1. the setting for category/archive sidebar is not going to affect single posts. That only effects category/archive pages.
If you want your blog posts to use any other sidebar then primary you have to set that within the blog post itself. does that further clarify?
2. Your primary sidebar must-have widgets that would show content on a single post for you to see any content on a single post. Right now your primary sidebar has only woocommerce widgets which will only show on woocommerce pages.
